Parent/Teacher Conference

So, the headache was, thankfully. at bay when I woke up. Mostly. I was walking on eggshells, hoping that it wouldn't come back, though.

After the kids went to school, I went to Kari's house, and got a NICE massage, so that should help long term, too. She said that my neck/shoulders were EXTREMELY tight. Not good. Not good at all.

When I got home, I worked on a Scrapbookgraphics project, and it took WAY longer than it should have. But finally got it done. Then, I went and hopped in the shower. And CPT came home for lunch. And since it was early release day, I got the kids from school at 12:30.

And yeah, the headache wasn't gone. I took some meds, and laid down at 1pm. And woke up at 1:45pm, just in time to make it to parent teacher conferences. Sigh. It was gonna be a rough go of it. Tom was still at school, so no babysitter. Luckily, Jim and Joe had DS's, and Eme is just all around good, so they were no problems for me.

Jim was first. He's a good kid in Kindergarten. Really, the only thing he needs to work on is holding his pencil. Not too bad. hehe. Next, it was on to Emeline. What can I say, she's a perfect student :) Straight A's again. She scored a 100 on the benchmark exam. Her teacher wants to clone her. LOL.

Next, it was Joe's turn. He has improved SO much since last time! Brought all of his grades up! His teacher was so proud of him! I explained about the reintegration process, and how it's rough on families when soldiers come back home. She had no idea. They really need to educate these teachers who live in military areas... I'm sure that's why Joe was having such struggles.

Lastly, we saw Eme's 2nd teacher. Again, rave reviews. All told, we were at the elementary school from 2-3:30pm. And yeah, my head still hurt when I got home. Sigh. But it was a little better. I sat down, and let the kids have free time for about an hour. Tom was home, and Jake got home at around 4.

Then, at 4:30, we had chores. And Jake was having a hard time keeping himself under control. I'm not sure why. He was having a rough evening though. Yelling at people. We all just kinda kept our distance, and encouraged him to continue with his chores. Needless to say, with that much yelling, there was a loss of electronics. CPT got home at 5pm, and he and Jake had a talk. Then CPT had a talk with Tom, about not "baiting" a special needs kid. And about how if he kept doing it, Jake was eventually gonna hurt him.... Tom needed to "be the bigger man"...

Tom and CPT left for Baseball practice at 6 something, and the other kids and I went to the park to hang. Since there was no electronics, and it was SUCH a nice night. Kim came to hang, and Kari too. We stayed till it got dark, and CPT came home. And we all headed back home.

We did some cleaning, and some homework, and there were guitars out, and yeah, it's 9pm now. Late night. But a good night. An electronics free night, but I like it :) Everyone is happy. And my headache is a bay, for the moment. Lets hope it stays that way. I have plans for tomorrow. I need to return/exchange some stuff at Academy. I was supposed to do that today. And I have some designing to do...
