Mother's Daughter

We went to a wedding yesterday for my ....um, let's see if I can figure out the relationship - hehehehe. My mom Lyn's mom Ida's brother Tom's daughter Sheryl Lynn's daughter Katie married a Scottish guy named Cameron. It was a big Scottish wedding, with kilts and everything. Kinda neat. Kinda! Not my type of wedding, but it was outside, and there was a playground for the kids, and lots of food and cake, so who doesn't like that! Our family all wore matching outfits (black shirts with cream pants), so we stood out a bit - hehehe. Too funny!

Here's a few pics from our day. The kids and I.

Jim, Me, and Joe - too funny!

Here's the wedding party. Boys in skirts? LMBO!!! Ha! I have a funny story for ya. My 4th child, Joe (just turned 5) wanted cake when we first got to the wedding, but of course, they weren't doing cake until the end. First, we told him the cake was a decoration. That worked for a while, but he figured out soon that it wasn't. He was pretty excited when he realized that it was for eating - hehehe. Then, we told him that the cake belonged to the pretty girl in the white dress. He made sure that he kept her in his sites until they cut the cake - LOL! Then, when they finally cut the cake, and Joe got his piece, he ate 2 bites, and traded the rest to his grandpa for his extra piece of bread. I guess that's why Joe is our only skinny kid - hehehe!

Tom was VERY impressed with the big sword. The bride and groom actually used it to cut the cake with - hehehe.

And, here we are in our black shirts! Aren't we cute!

This WordArt request is from Jenny. What a lovely quote! I hope you like it, girl!

Love your word art and your family. I was the only girl out of 5 kids too and right smack dab in the middle. How about some quotes for middle children? The only nice one I ever heard was that I was the peanut butter and jelly in the sandwich and they were just the bread.

I just want to say I love your hair. It looks SO good on you. Is it easy to style? I wonder if your hair has curl or straight? I'm considering chopping mine off again but no sure... Mine is long now (past mid-back) but I've had it short like yours twice (but not that style). I donate it to Locks of Love when it cut it. SO... was curious about maintaining that style and how much you like it??

Bethany I love your WordArt! Thank you so much for sharing your word art and your stories! The story about the Pinewood Derby hit close to home since my husband travels a lot and I have had to help make the cars too. The story reminded me that you had some Cub Scout elements on your old site that I could not open. I can not open rar files and I was wondering if you also have those in a jpeg or png format. There as also 2 other word art links that I would have loved to grab but the links were no longer there. The stealing kisses from a sleeping baby and the Who made this mess?

Thanks so much!
