OK, you guys! I'm SO excited! My hubby just called! Woohoo! Apparently, there was a slight location change for Family Day at basic graduation, so they were each given 5 minutes for a phone call. My parents, my kids, my sister, her hubby, and daughter, all had decided to go to the beach (which isn't anything like the Southern California beaches - think 65 mph cold winds - ha!). My kids decided to "fall" in the water, and were all wet, but having a lot of fun. We decided it was time to go home, and started walking back up the beach to the parking lot, when my phone rang. I'd almost left it in the car. I didn't recognize the number, and thought it was a credit card place.
But it wasn't!!! It was CAPTAIN AMERICA!!! I had to practically put my jacket over my head to get the wind out of the phone. He wanted to know if we were in the car with the windows down!) He told me about the change in plans (about 1 1/2 mintues), talked to our oldest son, Jacob, about football and his campout (about 1 1/2 minutes), then I told him that we were all good, and everyone missed him (about 1 minute), then he said he had to go and that he missed us (about 1 minute). Then he was gone. But let me tell you, it was SO GOOD to hear his voice, to chat with him, even if briefly.
So, because I have this silly little smile on my face that I just can't seem to get rid of, I'm putting my WHOLE STORE on sale for 30% off! But, the sale ends 9/29 at midnight. So, you gotta go quick! I'm just passing along my happy mood to all of you! Thanks :)

Happily Ever After
Yesterday was a MUCH better day. Thanks, girls, for all of your positive thoughts! Its REALLY worked :) My mom, sister, and I even got a "girls night" out at Fred Meyer (kinda like an expensive Wal-Mart). Don't make fun - hehehe. It's still a "girl's nite out"! And, I wanted to shop for a new outfit to go and visit Captain America! And, I need you all to help me decided what to wear!
So, here's the 3 new tops that I chose. I will see him on Family Day (for about 6-10 hours), and then on Graduation (about 2 hours). I think that's all I'll get to see him. So, my question is, which 2 shirts do I wear? Here's the choices:
And, I set up a "poll" on the left, right side of my blog, so you can all vote :) I have my favorite, I'm just wondering what the rest of you think :) And, the best part, was that they were all on sale, so each shirt only cost $10.00. Not bad for a department store shirt :) And, I got new higher heel (yeah, I don't do heals so well) shoes/sandals. A black strappy thing. I can wear it with my jeans. I'm SO excited. And, I got new jewelry too! Earring/necklace combo's (on sale from $15 to $3).
OK, so the other day, my kids found this photo albumn with our trip to Disneyland when my oldest was young. I think I was just recently prego with #2. And fat. Did I mention I was fat - LOL! Well, at the time I didn't think I was fat. But, check out these 2 pics I found. OMGoodness! I'm SO glad that I look like what I do now - hehehe.

OK, enough about me, lets talk about my kids - LOL! My oldest, Jacob (11), went on his first Boy Scout campout last night! How did he get that old? He got home from school at about 3:50, and we pack him up, and had him at his Scout Leaders (who also happens to be his assistant coach) house by 4:20. They're camping, then going to the football game. We sent him with his fooball bag :) Coach will drive them there, then bring them back home. Thanks, Merritt!
And, Tom (8) has his first game today, and Eme (6) cheers at her first game today. Different town than the game that Jacob plays in. Good thing for the campout :) I'll make sure to get some pictures :) The little kids are excited about a fun day at Miller Park! It has a GREAT play structure, nice swings, and a TON of sand (but then, Florence in general has a TON of sand - hehhe)
So, this is the FIRST WordArt designed on my NEW LAPTOP! My hubby found out that he can have a laptop at OCS (officer candidate school), so I got a new one, and am giving him my old one. Doesn't that sound like a GREAT plan :) It's SO fast, and I just KNOW that I can get SO much more done. This WordArt took me 2 mintues to make :) Woohooo!

See the Stars
Hi all! Yesterday was a rough day at the Harty/Winona household. Today is Day 60 without Captain America, and it's really taking it's toll. I should get some sort of prize for holding on 59 days before finally having a meltdown - LOL! But, we're all doing fine, and we came through it :) Today will be better, right? What's that saying, "That which does not kill us, makes us stronger". Well, I'm gonna be pretty strong by the time we leave. Let me tell you, being apart really makes me realize how much I love and rely on my DH (dear husband). In the long run, it's only a short time we'll be apart. I wish my heart could think about it like my head * sigh*.
So, on to something MUCH more cheerful - LOL! Check out this FABULOUS mini kit that Kami of Ziggle Designs has made!!!
So, Kami of Ziggle Designs made this WONDERFUL mini kit to give away as a participation prize for today's "Make It Snappy" party. Well, she let me make this WordArt for you all! And, I guess that they're having a BLOG TRAIN over on Kami's blog, where you can pick up some 12x12 quick pages (QP), made from the mini kit. Well, now isn't this your lucky day!

Smile
It was another long day. I know you get tired of me telling you all about it, but you're my captive audience - LOL! My dad fixed the big kids' tents the other day, to make sure they don't get flooded when the rainy season starts. Oh, I did mention that my 2 older boys were sleeping in tents in the backyard, right?
He put the 2 dome tents up on palettes (4 for each tent, making a huge square - well, rectangle when you place the 2 tents together). Then, he strung a MASSIVE rope from the tree in the neighbors yard to the cherry tree in our backyard. The tents were positioned directly under the rope. Then, he put a GIANT tarp over the rope, and staked it down really good. It makes a little A-Frame over the tents. Thanks, Dad! Now my boys will stay dry!!!
Now, don't you all feel wonderful about your living arrangements - LOL! It was a good thing he rigged up the tarp when he did, because it started raining today. Football practice was rainy and wet. Poor boys. Scouts was directly after. Busy day for poor Jacob.
I spent the day designging. I think tomorrow I may take a shower and leave the house for reasons other than dropping off or picking up kids - LOL! Like the grocery store. Ha! That's a "shower and get ready" worthy activity. I know, I'm kinda weird. No wait, quirkey. That sounds better - LMBO!
Wow, you guys! I've got a TON of stuff for the store this week! 3 new WordArt packs, and 3 Commercial Use (CU) licenses for sale. Awesome, eh? It's all officially releasing tomorrow in the Orchard, but you can follow my "secret" links here - so tricky, eh?

This is a WordArt request from Shannon. Don't you just love the movie Annie? I think it's a lot of fun. My kids used to watch the newer version of it ALL the time. But, it's on VHS, and we haven't had that set up in over a year. Oh well. We should be moving to DVD anyway - hehehe.

WordArt Week 15 - Believe
OK, you guys, I just have to say, that yesterday was a rough day. I think I'm PMS-y, which doesn't help. At least I recognized it - hehehe. There's nothing worse than someone being wenchy and not knowing it - LOL! At least I knew it, and warned everyone before hand.
So, hopefully today proves to be a MUCH better day. Only 6 more days till I leave on my trip to see my DH graduate from Basic training. I sure the time passes quickly. I can't WAIT to see him! Sometimes, even grown ups need a hug (and not one from a 3 year old covered in berries, snot, and sand - LMBO!)
Kami, from Ziggle Design, agreed to let me use her mini kit to make this FABULOUS new WordArt for you all. Isn't it pretty? I just LOVE those flowers. Kami always does a GREAT job :) So, all you have to do is click HERE to go to Scraporchard, and download the zip file. Remember, you have to be logged into the Orchard in order to download the zip. Thanks!

Moments Matter
I was SO excited to watch NBC's "Heroes" premiere last night, and was really enjoying it, until I fell asleep during one of the commercials. Dang! Now I'm gonna have to go back and watch what I missed online. Hehehehe. Don't get me wrong. It was wonderful. It's just that I'd been up since 6:30am, and a show from 9-11 is pretty late :) Hehehehe!
And, just so you all know, Joe is better! We skipped preschool/playgroup, and stayed home. He felt well enough to go to PM kindergarten, and was TOTALLY fine. Thank goodness for short sicknesses :) Now, I just hope that no one else gets it - LOL!
This WordArt request is from Judy. I thought it was super cute! Thanks, Judy :) Click on the image below to go to my 4sahred account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work. Thanks!

S4H and CU TOU's
Ha! I feel like I'm speaking Army, what with all those acronyms - hehehe.
So, I've had quite a few inquries about my Scrap 4 Hire (S4H) and Commercial Use (CU) Terms of Use (TOU). Well, here it is :)
My S4H price is $0.66 per WordArt (click HERE to see the TOU)
My limited CU price is $1.50 per WordArt (click HERE to see the TOU)
With the S4H, you can make a layout for someone else, and they pay you for it (they only get the flattened version). Also, any WordArt pack purchased at my Scraporchard store is ALREADY S4H friendly. You don't need an additional TOU. Any freebie on my blog can be purchased for S4H.
With the CU, you can use the WordArts on your cards, tags, websites, where you get Money for it. BUT, you can't include my WordArt in your designer 'kit' as your own, then re-sell it. Any freebie on my blog can be purchased for CU. Any WordArt in my store can be purchased for CU.
Just email me at bnbharty@gmail.com for more details, and we'll work something out for ya :)
Thanks :)

Be My Friend
Poor little Joe (the 5 year old). He's sick. During Sacrament meeting at church, he told me he had a headache. He snuggles with Grandma the last half of the meeting, then after church said that he was gonna puke. We ran to the bathroom, but it was a false alarm. My grandma Ida volunteered to take him back to the house and watch him. I drove them home, got him situated, and made it back in time to do my Chorister calling.
After church, he was feeling much better (the nap and the tylenol really helped), and he told me that he was just tricking me, that he wasn't really sick. We had lunch (chili and bread - well, the kids had that - I had cheese and cucumbers), and everyone went about their business. About an hour later, Joe said that he was gonna puke, we we ran for the bathroom. It was NASTY. But luckily, his aim is MUCH better than his sister, Emeline. We won't go there - LMBO!
He had moments during the day where he felt good, but he puked another couple of time, and took another nap. Poor little guy. I guess we won't be doing pre-school or kindergarten tomorrow. I hope the little guy feels better soon! He's so skinny, his baby brother will pass him in weight if he's not careful (Jim is only 2 lbs lighter than Joe)
You know, it's a good thing that I like you guys! I was gonna make this as a freebie, then decided that I just liked it too much for a freebie, and that I'd put it in a WordArt Pack. But then, I changed my mind again, and decided to give it to you - LOL! So, here ya go! I really liked it, and I hope that you do to!

Halloween
I had another busy day yesterday. Just when I think I'll get some time to design, something comes up. LOL! I knew that coming to my mom's house would keep my busy, but who knew it would be THIS BUSY! Hehehehe.
We went down to North Bend for Jacob's ball game this morning. Game started at 11, and we had to be there at 10:30. We left the house at around 9am. Jacob forgot his jersey, and only had his practice jersey. So, I taught him a nice lesson "being prepared" with natural consequences. He had to go and tell the coaches that he'd forgotten it, and try and figure something out. They made the water boy give his jersey to a larger boy, then made that larger boy give his jersey to Jacob. It wasn't ideal, but at least he had a jersey. And, after the embarassing situation, I really don't think he'll forget his jersey again :)
After the game, my parents took us out to Sizzler for dinner. It was my dad's b-day the day before, so it was his b-day dinner (just a little late - LOL!) This was one of the first times that it was hard for me to watch other people eat yummy food, while I had some lettuce and chicken. I guess it was my first watching someone elses"all you can eat" meal on this diet. It wasn't so fun, but I did PERFECT on my diet :) I'm only 5 lbs from my goal!!! Woohoo.
We briefly went to Walmart (Jake needed a sports bag for all of his gear, I needed more veggies, ect.), then we headed home. Stopped in Reedsport on the way back home and bought some fresh corn (yum!), and I cooked it up when we got back. The kids LOVED it!
I was able to go to a "girls night out" at 7pm last night. It was my first (I'd been invited several times, but didn't ever have a babysitter) time, and it was a BLAST! We each brought our favorite Fall treat (mine were ginger snaps), and made a candy corn candle craft (yeah, say that 5 times real fast), and just chatted and had fun. I really enjoyed my time :) Thanks, Maren and April for hanging out with me! You guys are a lot of fun!!!!
So, now it's 11:30 (pre-publishing, remember!), and I'm trying to keep my eyes awake long enough to post this. I still have to come up with a singing time thing for tomorrow. Hmmmm, there's time before church, right? I guess we'll see :)
Since it's getting to be fall time, and I thought I'd throw out a Halloween WordArt for you all. (I'll have a pack in my store in the next week or so) Have you noticed that all the stores are ready for Halloween? Goodness. It's still more than a month away! Anyway, click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work.

Love - Johnny Cash
First off, I wanted to show you all my NEWEST WordArt packs! And, my lovely CT has made up some pages with them already (aren't they WONDERFUL!). I just LOVE their layouts :)
Crystal (Digiscrapalious)

Well, yesterday was my Dad's b-day, and we had a nice little family party for him. I made homemade Lemon Meringue pie (first time ever), Banana Cream Pie, and Brownies. I guess they turned out well. Again with the parties and no dessert for me. One of these days. Actually, I'm only 2 lbs away from "re-feed" on my diet, where I re-train my body how to deal with larger food quantities, and different food types. I'm looking forward to it - LOL!
My sister, my mom, and I went in 3 ways to buy him some FOX riding gear. We got him a jersey and a hat. He 3 wheels out on the dunes, and we thought it would be nice for him. The kids got him Dollar Store presents, and my sister got him a nice assortment of nuts (his FAVORITE!). I think he had a nice b-day. And, it was National Talk Like A Pirate day, so we sang :
Happy B-day to you (arrgh!)
Happy B-day to you (arrgh!)
Happy B-day Papa Steve (aargh!)
Happy B-day to you (aargh!)
Believe me, it was very memoralbe - LOL! We did take pictures, but I haven't downloaded them to my computer yet. Usually we hustle to get photos online for my sister in Utah, but she's here with us, so she lived it - HA!!

I'll Be There
We had a fun and exciting morning yesterday :) The little boys and I (and my sister and her daughter), and 2 friends and their 3 boys, walked to the old Middle School (previously the High School) and watched them demolish it. It was kinda neat for the little boys to see. Lots of dump trucks, chippers, and back hoes. Lots of wreckage, and dust, and loud noises. Little boy heaven!
I made the YUMMIEST chili last night. Well, I'm assuming it was the yummiest! I didn't actually eat it, cause of my diet, but it sure smelled good! But I did get some buffalo burger! THAT'S on my diet :) It's the same recipe I always use - tasty!
Chili
1 onion
1 lb ground beef
1 lb sausage
1 lb bacon
1 can chili
1 can black beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can red kidney beans
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can bushes baked beans (yep, it's better with this particular brand)
1/2 bottle BBQ sauce (I liked the hickory smoke and brown sugar flavor)
water
Brown all meats, add all cans and sauce and water. Simmer until done.
Yeah, my directions aren't the best, but that's just how I cool - LOL! It makes a WHOLE bunch of chili, so don't just make it for yourself - LMBO!
This WordArt request is from Karen. She wanted it for a layout of her husband and her son, right before her son got stitches. It's really a very nice photo. Great lighting. Anyway, she wanted this saying on the layout, and thought I could work something up for her. So, what do you think? I thought it was pretty nice :)

Nice, Normal Family
Well, my sister's here for 2 weeks, and we got to hang out this afternoon. She's a lot of fun! And, her daughter Ella (19 months) played so nicely with my 36 months old Jimmy. He looked so BIG compared to little Ella. I remember now from my other kids, that to make your baby grow up in your eyes, just get them a younger sibling - ha! Works every time. Well, we're not doing that (LMBO - we're done!), so Ella will have do - hehehehe.
We had pre-school yesterday morning, then lunch at McDonalds with my mom, hanging out at my Aunt's house, a WIC appointment, back to my Aunts house, home to meet the big kids from the bus, off to football (and it was COLDer than usual), dinner, homework, designing. Another busy day :) But busy is good! It's not alone, and that's huge!
Ha! I thought this was one of the funniest requests I've gotten, and I just LOVED it! This SO describes my family :) hahahahah! This request is from Leanne. Thanks for the idea, girl! It's AWESOME! Every Moment
My Mom drove up to Porland last night to pick up my sister and her daughter. They're coming from Utah for a 2 week visit. Our house is gonna be SO full, but I'm SO excited to have Madi and Ella here! I think we'll have a TON of fun visiting and playing these next 2 weeks.
I had my first child miss school for the school year. Jacob was sick. He had a fever, chills, and even puked once. Poor guy. He just laid on the couch all day long. No school or football for him. Tom had football tonight, from 6-7. We found out that he's now gonna have practice on Monday and Tuesday from 6:15-7:15. Now I'll be at the park M,Tu, W, Th, and then games on Saturdays. My goodness. Anyway, I hope Jake feels better today.
Welcome to WordArt Wednesday Week 14!!! Can you believe how fast the time files! Goodness :) Well, here's my WordArt for this week! Hope you like it - I thought it would be nice on many everyday layouts :)

Hard
I made the yummiest smelling dinner tonight! White beans, bacon, diced spiced tomatoes, and Currywourst seasoning. In the crock pot. It smelled AWESOME. I'm still on my diet, so I didn't get any, but it made me want some :)
My friend, Becky, who's family is stationed in Germany, sent me a package the other day (thanks, girl!!!) full of army info, and also filled with German food. It was FANTASTIC!!! The currywourst seasoning pack was in there. There were some chocolates, some cookies, and some real Germal saurkraut. I'm saving that for when my DH comes home at X-mas. He's gonna LOVE it!
And, I got a letter from my hubby today. Poor guy, he's having a rough week (or had, it was dated last week). Apparently, a few individuals in his platoon decided to run a candy bar racketeering thingy. The Drills found out about it, and sent the whole platoon back to day one, "Red Phase".
See, the way BCT (Basic Combat Training) works, you have Red Phase, White Phase, and Blue Phase. Each phase you pass to, you get more privileges. Well, DH was just getting ready to pass into the Blue phase, where he might get phone calls. I was pretty excited at the thought, but crappit! It's not gonna happen now! OH well.
And, all because some 19 year old couldn't go for 9 weeks without a freakin' candy bar. Come on, guys! Grow up a little. I haven't had a candy bar (or bread, or sugar, or anything) since the beginning of May, and I'm doing just fine :)
OK, now that that's out of my system, I feel much better :) I'm really excited to see Captain America in October, which is now only like 16 days away!!! Woohoo!!! I've gotta decide what I'm gonna wear!
And, if anyone is still reading this extremely long post (LMBO), I was wondering if anyone wanted to be my "blog manager". I need someone to link the daily WordArts (file them away) on the side of my blog, and stuff like that. Blog management, I guess :) I'd give you a $10.00 coupon to my store each month as payment. So, anyone who is interested, just email me :) Thanks!
I thought that this WordArt would be fun! So fun, in fact, that I scrapped a layout with it! Hehehe. So, here ya go! Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work. Thanks!

Big Shots
Well, another week has just begun, and I think it's gonna be even longer than last week (if that's at all possible). Today is the lightest day of the week, with just school, then I have a meeting from 5-6. Tuesday, Jacob has tackle practice from 5:00 - 6:30. Tom has flag football practice from 6:15-7:00. My sister and her daughter fly in from Utah, and get into Portland at 7:00 (3 1/2 hours away from home). Wednesday, Jacob has tackle from 5-6 (no Scouts for Jake). Thursday, Jake has tackle from 5-6:30, and Tom has Cub Scout from 6-7. And did I tell you I just got called to be the DEN LEADER!! Woohoo! I'm so excited!
Friday, Eme has cheerleading from 4-5. Saturday, Tom has a game in Florence at 9:30, and Jacob has a game in Coos Bay at 11:00 am. Yeah, that's gonna be impossible to do both. We'll have to split the family, 1/2 with Tom and 1/2 with Jake. Sunday, I have a meeting after church, and my mom has a meeting after church in Coos Bay. Goodness!!!
Now I see why I never put my kids in sports before! This is insane!
OK, all of you Stephenie Meyer fans out there! Did you know that there's a manuscript from her that got leaked early on the internet? She wasn't too happy about that, and decided to just post it on her site, and not finish it. Poor thing! It's part of the story from "Edwards" point of view. I think I'm gonna check it out when I get a free minute. I LOVED the books!
Can you believe that I actually made a layout to go with todays WordArt! Remember when I used to do that - LOL! This WordArt request is from Laura. I thought it was a super cute saying. You're Beautiful
Hi all! So, how was your Saturday? Ours was pretty good. Busy, but good! I thought I'd share a few pics from our weekend so far. Below is a pic of my daughter Emeline at her 2nd Cheerleading practice. She's the one with the pink pants and brown hair. Such a cutie! Cheerleading was from 4-5 on Friday night.

And here's Tom at his first flag football practice. I know the kid is right handed, but for some reason he's throwing with his left hand. Huh. He says that's what feels natural. He's TOTALLY loving football :) Flag Football was from 6-7 on Friday night.
Here's Jacob with his football team for pictures. It was from 5-5:30 at the high school football field, on Friday night (we reallly had a busy Friday night) He's #53 on the back row. His buddy Clay is #43 on the back row. For those of you who are "Twilight" fans, Clays family was stationed in Forks, Washington with the Coast Guard for a few years. How totally cool is that! His mom actually met Stephanie Meyers one Sunday at church while she was there visiting - cool, eh?

And here's Jacob in his first game, on Saturday, in Coos Bay, at Marshfield Stadium (11am - 1 hour drive from home). It looks like real football, eh?!!! He's the one with the long sleeve blue shirt and gloves. That made it easier to spot him - LOL!

And one more pic of Jacob in action. We did our best, but still lost 28-ish to 0. But the important part was that he had fun, and they worked hard as a team. They'll get better :)

We went to lunch at Wendy's, the headed off to Wal-Mart (since we can't go to the city without stopping at Wal-Mart- ha!). When we finally got back home, my dad played catch with Tom, Jake played on the computer, and the little kids played with toys and watched some TV. I decided to start crocheting a beanie hat for football season (blue and gold, of course- go VIKINGS!) I"ll post it when I'm done, if you promise not to look too closely at it - LOL!
I got a package today from my friend in Germany. Her hubby is in the military, and is deployed. She sent me some magazine and papers about the army, and some food from Germany. It was a very nice and thoughtful package! Thanks, Becky! It had cookies and chocolates and saurkraut from Germany. So cool!!!!
OK, enough about me (hehehe), and onto WordArt, the reason you put up with all of my ramblings - hehehe. This WordArt request is from Crystal. She had a cute little story about her son that went along with it. So precious. Anyway, I thought that it would be a nice sentiment for all of us to use :)

Imagination Fun
Announcing : My First CT!!!
Wow, you guys! You are all FANTASTIC scrappers! Why'd you have to make it SO hard for me to choose!! I spent all my free time today going over your layouts, and your galleries, and trying to make a decision. I finally narrowed it down to these 13 WONDERFULLY talented girls!

Andrea (chia)

Diana Dang -----------------Anja ------------------------- Crystal Longblake

Katherine (flutterexpressions) --- Kim (kimmerbean)----------- Jaimee Voigt

Minna Ruger ------------------Mirjam (schneeflocke)----------------------------Netty

Trina Jones ------------------ Ulla-May------------------- Wendy (Neverland Scraps)
Thanks to everyone who sent in applications - really, I was very impressed. I SO wish I could have just kept you all on my CT!!! I hated having to turn people away. It didn't help that my 11 year old son, Jacob, pointed out to me that I was ruining people's mornings by telling them they didn't make my CT. Thanks, Jacob. That really helped :) hehehehe.
