Go Shopping

Well, I should be getting on my plane soon to fly home to Oregon. I had a FANTASTIC time on my trip, and enjoyed every SECOND of the time spent with my hubby. It really was a nice re-charge for this next round of trainings.

Ha! This one is in honor of the 1 1/2 hours I spent at the PX yesterday - LOL! (Military store, for all of you civilians - hehehe). I did have fun, but mostly because there was no one asking for stuff, or running away, or yelling and screaming, and I could look at what I wanted to look at, and go at my own pace. While I love my gang to pieces, it's kinda nice to get a break every once in a while :)

New WordArt Packs and BCT Graduation

Hey you guys!!! I TOTALLY forgot to blog my new WordArt packs - LOL! What could have possibly come up that made me forget? What? I got to see my hubby? Oh yeah! That's right! LMBO!

Here's 4 new WordArt packs (I was VERY productive on the plane on Wednesday - hehehe). I hope you like them!

Click HERE to go to the store to get Mother Page WordArt

And, in case you were wondering, I had a FABULOUS time at Graduation. I thoroughly blogged it over at my personal blog. Click HERE to go and see how much fun I had.

And, check out my new Desktop Wallpaper. I took all my favorite pics from our trip, and collage them together! Look how happy we are :) I hope I can look at this over the next 16 weeks, and remember how good we felt when we were together, and keep that with me :)

October Leaves

Hi from Pre-publishing land again! Yep, I'm still back on Tuesday night :) LOL! I sure hope I'm having fun on my trip - hehehe.

So, today was family day at Ft. Knox. I headed off to base at about 8:15, and after sitting and waiting in the car for 15 minutes at the place I "thought" it was at, we were directed somewhere else th_001_smile.gif We all waited there until 9:00, and then waited some more - LOL! The term, "hurry up and wait" was tossed around a lot. At about 9:25ish, the head guy (yeah, not speaking Army so well - LOL!) told us the rules for the pass (no alcohol, no tobacco, no entering into contracts), and then they marched out the company.

We were all standing behind a white tape marker, and when the guys were finally released, it was a madhouse. DH saw me before I saw him, and he had a HUGE smile on his face! It was WONDERFUL seeing him again!!!! Here we are in front of his barracks.

I signed him out, then we headed for the rental car. The closer we got to the car, the more "normal" he seemed. I think he was having trouble switching out of "soldier" mode while still being there. Here's a pic from the parking lot. What a cutie! He's lost SO much weight since I sent him here!!! Holy cow!

We left base, and came back to my hotel. It was so nice to just hang out, and be "normal" again! It was like he'd never left. He was back to his happy, cheerful self th_001_smile.gif I feel a little bad, but I am SOOOOOO glad that I left the kids at home - hehehe!

We went out to lunch at Applebee's (let me tell you ladies, they just want to EAT!!!!! when they go off base - they're STARVING!), and a quick trip to Wal-Mart for supplies for him to take to OCS. Then back to the hotel.

We went out to eat at a Mexican Restaurant, which was FABULOUS! So yummy. Again with the eating. He REALLY had to focus on not just scarfing it down. I guess they regularly have to do that, and it's a hard habit to stop. Poor thing! Here's him with his "fried" ice cream. He was so full from the giant taco salad, that he could only eat a few bites.

The guys were supposed to be back at the barracks BEFORE 2100 (9pm). We were in the parking lot at 8pm, and just sat there and chatted. It was so nice. I think we're both "recharged", and ready for the next 16 week training. He'll have his cell phone for the next training, so it should be a lot better. Here's some pics, just before the guys got back into formation.

So, tomorrow at 9am is the Graduation. I get 15 minutes with him after graduation, then he gets on a bus for Ft. Benning. Wish me luck!!!!

Here's a really neat quote I found. It's a part of a Robert Frost poem. Isn't it wonderful?!! Can't wait to see the layouts using October and fall colors and leaves and such! I can see it now!!!

Miracles

Hi all! I'm pre-publishing again! It's Tuesday night, and I'm getting ready to go on my trip. If I have time on Wednesday night, I'll pop back in here, and update you all. I hope that my trip goes well (I'm sure it will)!

Here's a nice WordArt that I made the other night. Don't you like it? Hehehe. I just LOVE that font! You probably noticed! But, I thought that this WordArt would be REALLY cute on a pic of a prego lady! Don't you think? I'm sure it'd be good on MANY different layouts too!

Heart Whispers

OMGoodness!!! I'm actually on my way :) I'm SO SO SO SO excited! (Can you tell - LMBO?!!) Here's my plan for today. Get ready and get the kids out the door to the bus by 7:30, then be on the road a few minutes after that. Grandma Ida (she'll be 78 in a few days) will be by to watch Joe (5) and Jim (3). I need to be at the Portland Airport (3 1/2 hours away - my mom is driving me) at 11:15 in order to check in for my flight at 1:15.

I'm flying to Chicago, and my next flight doesn't leave until 9:50 pm. OUCH! I'll have a lot of time to kill. Luckily, I'm bringing the new laptop (woohoo!) and my mom's Stephanie Meyers book, The Host. Between the two, I should be FINE!

I get into Louisville, KY at midnight, then have to rent a car, and drive south to Fort Knox (about an hour (maybe less) away). Thank goodness for mapquest! Check into the hotel, and wake up early the next morning for my day with my SWEETHEART!!! We're supposed to be at the base at 9:00, so I'm leaving the hotel at like 7:30am - hehehe. I think the base is about 10-20 mintues away, but I'm not taking any chances - LOL!

Orientation at 9:00, then I get to take hubby off base until 2200!!!!! That's 10 hours!!! Woohoo!!! I'm gonna be one happy girl :) Apparently, my letter from the army about graduation and family day had a back side - who would have thought! It told all about taking them off base and such. Too bad I didn't see that part until today - LOL! That would have eased my mind a bit - hehehe.

I'm SO excited! So, wish me luck!!!

Here's the latest installment of WordArt Wednesday. I decided to go with the easy quotes, not the requests, remember :) Land Before Time (those dinosaur cartoons) has always been a favorite of my younger kids, so I thought this was appropriate. Click HERE to go to scraporchard to download the zip file, and leave some love if you like my work. And REMEBER, you have to be logged in to the gallery to get the file :) Thanks!!!!

All Dreams

OK, you guys! It's almost time for my trip!!! I am SO excited :) So, you know what that means :) Pre-publishing - woohoo! I'm gonna work on that today. Yesterday, I spent my free time (ha!) transferring files from Captain America's old computer, to my laptop. Then, my files from my old laptop to my new laptop. Talk about tedious work. LOL! Thanks goodness I'm almost done with it.

Oh yeah, some of you wanted to know what kind of laptop I bought. Well, I usually get HP, because I LOVE them, but I went with a Dell this time. It was cheaper for what I was getting, so yeah, Dell. It's been GREAT so far (knock on wood - LMBO!) Here's a link to see it :) Mine's the one on sale for $899.
Isn't it pretty?!! I LOVE it! It has 3 MB of Ram, and 300 gigs of Memory. Or something like that - ha! It has a duo processor, which while I don't really undersand what it means, I KNOW that it means that Photophop works PERFECTLY! That's JUST what I wanted. And, tons of storage space. And a massivly large screen - gotta love that (especially for watching TV and moves on). And, it has a number pad thingy. I SO love that :)

I've just got to tell ya. Open House. So some SMART person in the school district decided that we should have a SCHOOL WIDE open house, on the same night, at the same time. Monday night from 6:30-8:00. So, how in the world am I supposed to do 4 OPEN HOUSES at the same time? Really, come on people! What are ya trying to do to me! It was utter chaos! Each kid had at least 2 different teachers that they wanted me to go and see, and I was dragging along 5 kids with me. Insane!!! I'm definitely giving my "feedback" to the powers that be. That was NOT fun - hehehe. But, the good news is that they are all doing well, and are all smart kids (although I already knew that, it's SURE nice to hear now and again!).

So, because I'm SO close to my trip, I'm gonna suspend requests until I get back. It's just easier to pick a few easy ones :) This one if from Walt Disney, and is so cool! I hope you all enjoy it! All Dressed Up

So, after church today, we went to Sweet Home to visit with my Dad's side of the family. My grandma Mavis moved into an assisted living home over there, to be close to my Aunt Sherri and Uncle Rick. They picked her up, and we met up with them at the park. We had a nice little family cookout/reunion. I hadn't seen them in SO long. It's been at least 5 years. 2 of my cousins were there, and their husbands/boyfriends, and their children. The other cousin was on vacation with her family to Disneyland. It was a LOT of fun, and a great day :)

But now I'm tired (pre-publishing - remember!), and I haven't had a chance to answer emails in at least 3 days. Goodness. My inbox is growing again. I think I'll have some time tomorrow to look at them, but I still need to pack for my trip (WOOHOO!!!!!). I haven't flown since September 11th, so I know it's a lot more tricky than before :)

Can I bring my contact solution in my carry-on? Or is it too much liquid? What about my SUPER thick hair gel? Is that a no-go on a carry-on too? Do all of these "fluid" regulations apply to under the plane, or just carry-ons? I'm flying Southwest (woohoo! - gotta love Southwest).

This WordArt request is from Laurel. I know I've got a few pictures that it would definitely work on :) And not because we're fancy - hehehe. Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work.

Life Uncommon

Well, it was another busy Saturday. My oldest was away at a campout/football game, and my #2, Thomas, had a flag football game at the park. My #3, Emeline, was cheering at it. They were both SO cute. It started at about 8:45, and we were done by 11:30. We spent the rest of the afternoon at home, relaxing and veg-ing. Sometimes, you just need to do that :) I went to the store and got a B-day present for my sister (Princess Bride - LOVE it!), and we had a b-day party for her at 6:30 ish.

Madi's b-day is actually in October, but since she'll be home before then, we had the party early. It was fun to see everyone! My mom bought a REALLY AWESOME chocolate cake from the store, and I SO wanted a piece. But, I just smelled it. LOL! And let me tell you, it sure smelled good!

So, it's Saturday night (pre-publish, remember), and I'm posting this and trying to watch a movie at the same time. I'm SO tired, and I think when this movie is done, I'm hitting the sack. After church tomorrow, we're driving to Sweethome to visit my Dad's mom (Grandma Mavis). We havent' seen her since we got here. I'm pretty excited about it :)

This WordArt request was from my buddy, LD. I made it for him so that he could use it on a handout for a class he was teaching the other day. I thought that you all might like it too :) Isn't it pretty :) LD is such a good guy, and has such a wonderful family, I was so glad to do it for him :) Thanks, LD, for everything!

1st Phone Call - 30% off!!!

OK, you guys! I'm SO excited! My hubby just called! Woohoo! Apparently, there was a slight location change for Family Day at basic graduation, so they were each given 5 minutes for a phone call. My parents, my kids, my sister, her hubby, and daughter, all had decided to go to the beach (which isn't anything like the Southern California beaches - think 65 mph cold winds - ha!). My kids decided to "fall" in the water, and were all wet, but having a lot of fun. We decided it was time to go home, and started walking back up the beach to the parking lot, when my phone rang. I'd almost left it in the car. I didn't recognize the number, and thought it was a credit card place.

But it wasn't!!! It was CAPTAIN AMERICA!!! I had to practically put my jacket over my head to get the wind out of the phone. He wanted to know if we were in the car with the windows down!) He told me about the change in plans (about 1 1/2 mintues), talked to our oldest son, Jacob, about football and his campout (about 1 1/2 minutes), then I told him that we were all good, and everyone missed him (about 1 minute), then he said he had to go and that he missed us (about 1 minute). Then he was gone. But let me tell you, it was SO GOOD to hear his voice, to chat with him, even if briefly.

So, because I have this silly little smile on my face that I just can't seem to get rid of, I'm putting my WHOLE STORE on sale for 30% off! But, the sale ends 9/29 at midnight. So, you gotta go quick! I'm just passing along my happy mood to all of you! Thanks :)

Here's the CODE: 1stPHONEcall

Happily Ever After

Yesterday was a MUCH better day. Thanks, girls, for all of your positive thoughts! Its REALLY worked :) My mom, sister, and I even got a "girls night" out at Fred Meyer (kinda like an expensive Wal-Mart). Don't make fun - hehehe. It's still a "girl's nite out"! And, I wanted to shop for a new outfit to go and visit Captain America! And, I need you all to help me decided what to wear!

So, here's the 3 new tops that I chose. I will see him on Family Day (for about 6-10 hours), and then on Graduation (about 2 hours). I think that's all I'll get to see him. So, my question is, which 2 shirts do I wear? Here's the choices:

Black and White

Black and Teal

Blue Asian
And, I set up a "poll" on the left, right side of my blog, so you can all vote :) I have my favorite, I'm just wondering what the rest of you think :) And, the best part, was that they were all on sale, so each shirt only cost $10.00. Not bad for a department store shirt :) And, I got new higher heel (yeah, I don't do heals so well) shoes/sandals. A black strappy thing. I can wear it with my jeans. I'm SO excited. And, I got new jewelry too! Earring/necklace combo's (on sale from $15 to $3).

OK, so the other day, my kids found this photo albumn with our trip to Disneyland when my oldest was young. I think I was just recently prego with #2. And fat. Did I mention I was fat - LOL! Well, at the time I didn't think I was fat. But, check out these 2 pics I found. OMGoodness! I'm SO glad that I look like what I do now - hehehe.

OK, enough about me, lets talk about my kids - LOL! My oldest, Jacob (11), went on his first Boy Scout campout last night! How did he get that old? He got home from school at about 3:50, and we pack him up, and had him at his Scout Leaders (who also happens to be his assistant coach) house by 4:20. They're camping, then going to the football game. We sent him with his fooball bag :) Coach will drive them there, then bring them back home. Thanks, Merritt!

And, Tom (8) has his first game today, and Eme (6) cheers at her first game today. Different town than the game that Jacob plays in. Good thing for the campout :) I'll make sure to get some pictures :) The little kids are excited about a fun day at Miller Park! It has a GREAT play structure, nice swings, and a TON of sand (but then, Florence in general has a TON of sand - hehhe)

So, this is the FIRST WordArt designed on my NEW LAPTOP! My hubby found out that he can have a laptop at OCS (officer candidate school), so I got a new one, and am giving him my old one. Doesn't that sound like a GREAT plan :) It's SO fast, and I just KNOW that I can get SO much more done. This WordArt took me 2 mintues to make :) Woohooo!

See the Stars

Hi all! Yesterday was a rough day at the Harty/Winona household. Today is Day 60 without Captain America, and it's really taking it's toll. I should get some sort of prize for holding on 59 days before finally having a meltdown - LOL! But, we're all doing fine, and we came through it :) Today will be better, right? What's that saying, "That which does not kill us, makes us stronger". Well, I'm gonna be pretty strong by the time we leave. Let me tell you, being apart really makes me realize how much I love and rely on my DH (dear husband). In the long run, it's only a short time we'll be apart. I wish my heart could think about it like my head * sigh*.

So, on to something MUCH more cheerful - LOL! Check out this FABULOUS mini kit that Kami of Ziggle Designs has made!!!

So, Kami of Ziggle Designs made this WONDERFUL mini kit to give away as a participation prize for today's "Make It Snappy" party. Well, she let me make this WordArt for you all! And, I guess that they're having a BLOG TRAIN over on Kami's blog, where you can pick up some 12x12 quick pages (QP), made from the mini kit. Well, now isn't this your lucky day!

Smile

It was another long day. I know you get tired of me telling you all about it, but you're my captive audience - LOL! My dad fixed the big kids' tents the other day, to make sure they don't get flooded when the rainy season starts. Oh, I did mention that my 2 older boys were sleeping in tents in the backyard, right?

He put the 2 dome tents up on palettes (4 for each tent, making a huge square - well, rectangle when you place the 2 tents together). Then, he strung a MASSIVE rope from the tree in the neighbors yard to the cherry tree in our backyard. The tents were positioned directly under the rope. Then, he put a GIANT tarp over the rope, and staked it down really good. It makes a little A-Frame over the tents. Thanks, Dad! Now my boys will stay dry!!!

Now, don't you all feel wonderful about your living arrangements - LOL! It was a good thing he rigged up the tarp when he did, because it started raining today. Football practice was rainy and wet. Poor boys. Scouts was directly after. Busy day for poor Jacob.

I spent the day designging. I think tomorrow I may take a shower and leave the house for reasons other than dropping off or picking up kids - LOL! Like the grocery store. Ha! That's a "shower and get ready" worthy activity. I know, I'm kinda weird. No wait, quirkey. That sounds better - LMBO!

Wow, you guys! I've got a TON of stuff for the store this week! 3 new WordArt packs, and 3 Commercial Use (CU) licenses for sale. Awesome, eh? It's all officially releasing tomorrow in the Orchard, but you can follow my "secret" links here - so tricky, eh?

This is a WordArt request from Shannon. Don't you just love the movie Annie? I think it's a lot of fun. My kids used to watch the newer version of it ALL the time. But, it's on VHS, and we haven't had that set up in over a year. Oh well. We should be moving to DVD anyway - hehehe.

WordArt Week 15 - Believe

OK, you guys, I just have to say, that yesterday was a rough day. I think I'm PMS-y, which doesn't help. At least I recognized it - hehehe. There's nothing worse than someone being wenchy and not knowing it - LOL! At least I knew it, and warned everyone before hand.

So, hopefully today proves to be a MUCH better day. Only 6 more days till I leave on my trip to see my DH graduate from Basic training. I sure the time passes quickly. I can't WAIT to see him! Sometimes, even grown ups need a hug (and not one from a 3 year old covered in berries, snot, and sand - LMBO!)

Kami, from Ziggle Design, agreed to let me use her mini kit to make this FABULOUS new WordArt for you all. Isn't it pretty? I just LOVE those flowers. Kami always does a GREAT job :) So, all you have to do is click HERE to go to Scraporchard, and download the zip file. Remember, you have to be logged into the Orchard in order to download the zip. Moments Matter

I was SO excited to watch NBC's "Heroes" premiere last night, and was really enjoying it, until I fell asleep during one of the commercials. Dang! Now I'm gonna have to go back and watch what I missed online. Hehehehe. Don't get me wrong. It was wonderful. It's just that I'd been up since 6:30am, and a show from 9-11 is pretty late :) Hehehehe!

And, just so you all know, Joe is better! We skipped preschool/playgroup, and stayed home. He felt well enough to go to PM kindergarten, and was TOTALLY fine. Thank goodness for short sicknesses :) Now, I just hope that no one else gets it - LOL!

This WordArt request is from Judy. I thought it was super cute! Thanks, Judy :) Click on the image below to go to my 4sahred account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work. Thanks!

S4H and CU TOU's

Ha! I feel like I'm speaking Army, what with all those acronyms - hehehe.

So, I've had quite a few inquries about my Scrap 4 Hire (S4H) and Commercial Use (CU) Terms of Use (TOU). Well, here it is :)

My S4H price is $0.66 per WordArt (click HERE to see the TOU)
My limited CU price is $1.50 per WordArt (click HERE to see the TOU)

With the S4H, you can make a layout for someone else, and they pay you for it (they only get the flattened version). Also, any WordArt pack purchased at my Scraporchard store is ALREADY S4H friendly. You don't need an additional TOU. Any freebie on my blog can be purchased for S4H.

With the CU, you can use the WordArts on your cards, tags, websites, where you get Money for it. BUT, you can't include my WordArt in your designer 'kit' as your own, then re-sell it. Any freebie on my blog can be purchased for CU. Any WordArt in my store can be purchased for CU.

Just email me at bnbharty@gmail.com for more details, and we'll work something out for ya :)

Thanks :)

Be My Friend

Poor little Joe (the 5 year old). He's sick. During Sacrament meeting at church, he told me he had a headache. He snuggles with Grandma the last half of the meeting, then after church said that he was gonna puke. We ran to the bathroom, but it was a false alarm. My grandma Ida volunteered to take him back to the house and watch him. I drove them home, got him situated, and made it back in time to do my Chorister calling.

After church, he was feeling much better (the nap and the tylenol really helped), and he told me that he was just tricking me, that he wasn't really sick. We had lunch (chili and bread - well, the kids had that - I had cheese and cucumbers), and everyone went about their business. About an hour later, Joe said that he was gonna puke, we we ran for the bathroom. It was NASTY. But luckily, his aim is MUCH better than his sister, Emeline. We won't go there - LMBO!

He had moments during the day where he felt good, but he puked another couple of time, and took another nap. Poor little guy. I guess we won't be doing pre-school or kindergarten tomorrow. I hope the little guy feels better soon! He's so skinny, his baby brother will pass him in weight if he's not careful (Jim is only 2 lbs lighter than Joe)

You know, it's a good thing that I like you guys! I was gonna make this as a freebie, then decided that I just liked it too much for a freebie, and that I'd put it in a WordArt Pack. But then, I changed my mind again, and decided to give it to you - LOL! So, here ya go! I really liked it, and I hope that you do to!

Halloween

I had another busy day yesterday. Just when I think I'll get some time to design, something comes up. LOL! I knew that coming to my mom's house would keep my busy, but who knew it would be THIS BUSY! Hehehehe.

We went down to North Bend for Jacob's ball game this morning. Game started at 11, and we had to be there at 10:30. We left the house at around 9am. Jacob forgot his jersey, and only had his practice jersey. So, I taught him a nice lesson "being prepared" with natural consequences. He had to go and tell the coaches that he'd forgotten it, and try and figure something out. They made the water boy give his jersey to a larger boy, then made that larger boy give his jersey to Jacob. It wasn't ideal, but at least he had a jersey. And, after the embarassing situation, I really don't think he'll forget his jersey again :)

After the game, my parents took us out to Sizzler for dinner. It was my dad's b-day the day before, so it was his b-day dinner (just a little late - LOL!) This was one of the first times that it was hard for me to watch other people eat yummy food, while I had some lettuce and chicken. I guess it was my first watching someone elses"all you can eat" meal on this diet. It wasn't so fun, but I did PERFECT on my diet :) I'm only 5 lbs from my goal!!! Woohoo.

We briefly went to Walmart (Jake needed a sports bag for all of his gear, I needed more veggies, ect.), then we headed home. Stopped in Reedsport on the way back home and bought some fresh corn (yum!), and I cooked it up when we got back. The kids LOVED it!

I was able to go to a "girls night out" at 7pm last night. It was my first (I'd been invited several times, but didn't ever have a babysitter) time, and it was a BLAST! We each brought our favorite Fall treat (mine were ginger snaps), and made a candy corn candle craft (yeah, say that 5 times real fast), and just chatted and had fun. I really enjoyed my time :) Thanks, Maren and April for hanging out with me! You guys are a lot of fun!!!!

So, now it's 11:30 (pre-publishing, remember!), and I'm trying to keep my eyes awake long enough to post this. I still have to come up with a singing time thing for tomorrow. Hmmmm, there's time before church, right? I guess we'll see :)

Since it's getting to be fall time, and I thought I'd throw out a Halloween WordArt for you all. (I'll have a pack in my store in the next week or so) Have you noticed that all the stores are ready for Halloween? Goodness. It's still more than a month away! Anyway, click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work.

Well, yesterday was my Dad's b-day, and we had a nice little family party for him. I made homemade Lemon Meringue pie (first time ever), Banana Cream Pie, and Brownies. I guess they turned out well. Again with the parties and no dessert for me. One of these days. Actually, I'm only 2 lbs away from "re-feed" on my diet, where I re-train my body how to deal with larger food quantities, and different food types. I'm looking forward to it - LOL!

My sister, my mom, and I went in 3 ways to buy him some FOX riding gear. We got him a jersey and a hat. He 3 wheels out on the dunes, and we thought it would be nice for him. The kids got him Dollar Store presents, and my sister got him a nice assortment of nuts (his FAVORITE!). I think he had a nice b-day. And, it was National Talk Like A Pirate day, so we sang :

Happy B-day to you (arrgh!)
Happy B-day to you (arrgh!)
Happy B-day Papa Steve (aargh!)
Happy B-day to you (aargh!)

Believe me, it was very memoralbe - LOL! We did take pictures, but I haven't downloaded them to my computer yet. Usually we hustle to get photos online for my sister in Utah, but she's here with us, so she lived it - HA!!

And, on to WordArt for today! Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work :) Thanks!
