Gram

This link is for Modgee, who wanted a WordArt for Gram, not Grandma. I've redone a few of my old ones for you, using Gram. Hope you like them :)

This WordArt suggestion came from Amanda. What a beautiful sentiment. I am so excited for my daughter and I to have the kind of relationship that my mother and I have. :)

Thanks to Crissie for sending in her layouts "Here is my latest attempt at photo blending. At taylormadedigidesigns.blogspot.com she has some great tutorials and I used her freebie paper ”taylormade-casuallyblendingin-pp3”.

Thanks!!! You did a great job :)

Boys Are...

This WordArt suggestion comes from Dodo, who wanted a WordArt for rough and tumble toddler boys, that incorporated the title Nana (not grandma). Wow. That was a tough one. But, I think this will work. Actually, I really liked the way it turned out. And, I made it generic for everyone, specific for Nana, and specific for Grandma. Just take your pic, everyone :)

Mornings

This WordArt request is from Suzanne, who hates mornings. She's a night owl, she says :) Me, I love to sleep in, but find it hard. Maybe it's too many years of getting up early with little children, but after the sun comes up, my body wants to be awake too. Don't get me wrong, I don't jump up out of bed, heheheeh. As for nights, I get really sleepy around 11pm, and am not good for much after that. My husband, now that's another story. He's definitely a night owl. :)

Children Teach Us Life

This WordArt request is from Karen, and I really did like it. Having so many children, I must know a TON about life. Hehehe. And most of that, I learned from them! No, but seriously, children really do teach us so much. We learn love, and kindness, and compassion, and forgiveness, and charity, and how to have fun! I'm so grateful for my children, and all that they teach me!

This WordArt request was from Amanda. I'm sure we all have TONS of cute bath pics of our kids. I know of one in particular I could use, involving my 2year old (then 1), the bathtub, water, and his fresh jammies. Yeah, it was priceless :)

Here is a layout with Emeline and myself at a Civil War Reenactment in Northern Indiana. Or was it Michigan. Right on the boarder, can't remember which. It was at Heston Train Museum, and was pretty fun. One train ride out, the Yankee's would be in control of the train, and the confederate would take over, and the next time, the Confederate would be in control, and the Yankee's would take over. Pretty fun to ride on the train and experience it all. We had a blast!

Expect Do

My husband and I were just talking about this on Sunday. So true, isn't it. You have to believe that you can do it before you can do it. We were writing our weight loss goals on note cards, so we could carry them around with us. I know, it sounds corny, but it really does work. Back in '02, I lost 55 lbs in 5 months, and kept it off for 3 years. But, unfortunately, after child #5 was born (and moving, and lots of stress), it's seemed to find it's way back. So, we're re-dedicating ourselves to our diet, and WILL lose the lbs again. Last time, we had our goals, and we read them multiple times a day. Funny thing, how your brain can be convinced of something just by repeating it enough times.

Anyway, I got WAY off track. Hope you like the WordArt!

Family - God's Gift

What a nice quote! How true it is. We don't get to pick, here on earth, who comes to our family. But we sure love them, don't we! I thought this would be great for family pictures, and could even work for families with adoptive/foster kids.

Here are all my kids (minus Jimmy - the 2 yr old), posing in front of the flag on Voting Day. Remember, how I told you all that we ALL went to vote! My oldest was so excited when I let him push a button. He said "Ha! I got to vote". Funny kid. Jimmy was cropped out of the picture, because he just sat on that deck in the background, and wouldn't come for the picture. Oh well, you snooze, you loose :(

Thanks again to Scrap Shana for the lovely kit, Young Love! I absolutely love it :)

He is Risen

Love Chocolate

Ah, chocolate. I sure do love it. It doesn't love me, though. I think I'm slightly sensitive to the caffeine in it, and experience withdrawal-like symptoms if I don't have it again in 24-48 hours. Migraines, to be exact. I know, it sucks. So, my choices are A) No chocolate (I know, not a very good choice) B) eat it when it's around, and get migraines for a day or two, or C) just give myself daily doses of it, so stay off the headaches. What would you choose?

Jimmy found a bowl of chocolate pudding on the kitchen table, and made a royal mess of himself. Two questions. First, why was the gate open (isn't that why we have a baby gate!), and second, why on earth was there LEFT OVER CHOCOLATE pudding. That just doesn't make sense! Hehehe, looking at that cute pic of Jimmy above, he isn't really as messy as he could be, is he?

Only Me

Isn't is neat how we are really the "one and only" us! No one quite like us. And for some of us, that's a good thing. I don't think the world is ready for more than one of some of us! hehehee.

Jesus Lives Again

I made this WordArt in honor of Easter, which is fast approaching. In years past, we've gone to St. Louis to celebrate Easter with Captain America's brothers, but now that we're in Ohio, it's too long of a drive. So, we're doing Easter on our own this year. I'm excited to decorate eggs with the kids. I think, the last couple of years, we haven't gotten around to doing it. Well, this year, I'm doing eggs! It'll be fun :)

This WordArt comes from a childrens song about Easter. I really liked the words of the song, and do have joy in the knowledge that Christ really does live, and so can I :) Hope you enjoy!

Fairy Tale

Usually, after making a WordArt, I sit back and say, yeah, it's good enough. But with this one, I REALLY liked it. Don't quite know why, but I just like the look of it, I guess. And isn't it true, that our life should be the best tale. We can make it what we want to be, so it could be filled with excitement, with romance, with whatever we choose to fill it with!

Success

I thought that this quote would be perfect on a layout of a baby, just learning how to walk. Or, a kid riding a bicycle. Really, and "first" would be perfect. What a great saying, and how true it is :) We just need to keep trying, never give up. Don't despair, try try again !!!

This layout is from Zalaine, and I must say, it's AWESOME! Love the look of it :) You really did a fabulous job :) Thanks so much for sharing. I failed to ask her about the credits, so I don't really know what she used, but she sure did a GREAT JOB!!!

Team

This WordArt suggestion comes from Sharon Kay, who needed a WordArt to go with her son's basketball tournament pictures. Isn't this a true quote. Team sports require us to work well together, and not think just of ourselves. This is why playing on a team is an important life lesson for kids (and adults) to learn!
