We had a great time last night watching National Treasure 2: Book of Treasures as a family. We haven't done that in a while, and it was a lot of fun. When the movie was over, and the kids were in bed, I went into the kitchen to turn off the lights, and noticed just how many bags of microwave popcorn were cooked. 7. For 5 little kids. And they ate it all. Captain America and I are on our diet (9 lbs to date- 11 lbs for Captain America), so no popcorn for us. I didn't realize they were making and eating so much. Goodness!
This WordArt request is from Julie. I thought the quote was very nice, and a great message! Click on the image below to download, and leave some love if you like my work.

Tagged - And a Freebie
Before I get to the tagging, I realized that if I was gonna make you all read this long and boring...er, fun and exciting post, I should at least have something fantastic waiting for you at the end. So, get to reading so you can see your surprise :)
Ok, I've been tagged 3 times in one day! What's up with that ? hehehe - does that mean that I'm loved! Lets see if I can figure out how to play :)
OK, now for the tagging of 7 people. Hmmmm, who's it gonna be?

I was tagged by Bonnie , Jeanie (aka scrapdoctor designs) , and LJ Marinello (bella memorie) - Thanks girls! I know this means that you like me :) hehehe
Anyway here's the rules:
- Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
- Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
- Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
- Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
1. I love making faces and being silly - oh, and I wear aprons. what, you think that's dorky. I don't care, I LOVE aprons! It's like dishtowels attached to your body!!! See the cute apron that my grandma in Oregon made for me! Thanks Grandma Ida :)
2. I met my in-laws for the first time on my Wedding day. At the wedding ceremony when I walked in. They were coming from Illinois to Portland Oregon, and we were driving 3 1/2 hours to get to the Portland temple, and had car trouble. We should have had an hour to meet and chat with them in the parking lot before hand, but it didn't work out that way. Our meeting was memorable, don't you think! (my mom is a paper scrapper, and posted a few of my wedding photos on her blog a while back - thanks mom!)
3. I'm afraid of manholes - I know, you're scared too, just thinking about it!!! Can you imagine actually falling into one. I shudder just thinking about it. And what would be even worse, is getting into a car crash, stumbling out of the car, getting attacked by a dog, THEN falling into a manhole. That's my nightmare scenario! Yeah, stop laughing! You know it sounds scary too!
4. I obsessively check my e-mail. It's gotten really bad lately. When online, I always have to have a window with g-mail open, and I'm on the computer a lot (what with homeschooling through a virtual academy). Our last civil war weekend was 2 days with no e-mail checking. I went through some serious withdrawals that Saturday :) But, I survived!
5. I arrange my closet by color. I used to arrange it by types of clothes, but I find that when I go to pick out an outfit, I pick color first, then type. Aren't I strange :) I like to look through my closet and see the pretty rainbow of colors. First blues, then blacks, then pinks, reds, purples, whites, creams, yellows, browns, and greens. I by FAR have the most black. It's such a lovely and sliming color, don't you think! (and just because I like my clothes color coordinated doesn't mean I'm a neat freak. just ask my hubby. he'll tell you otherwise. i'm really kinda messy - but don't tell anyone else!!!)
6. I've been pregnant 7 times, and have 5 kids. Yep, miscarriages between #1-2 and between #2-3. I guess my body just likes the 2 year spacing, not the 15-18 month spacing. It was sad at the time, but I'm not one to be sad about things for long. I had a friend who miscarried a while back, and I was really glad that I could help her though her tough time because I knew what she'd gone through, and how she was feeling. Things happen for a reason :) - Here they all are at the Build-A-Bear workshop in St. Louis. Poor little things had to all share 1 bear (puppy) - but it's has 7 hearts, so it'll have extra love!!!
#7 - One more to go! Let's see.....hmmmm.....I can pick up things with my toes! Can you? I LOVE this talent that I have (hey, it's a talent, don't laugh). No more bending over to get things. I just pick it up with my toes, and bend my leg up to my hands. AWESOME! hehehe. Goes right along with hating to wear shoes. Can't pick things up with shoes on, no can you?

Ride Em
Wow, I was up late again last night! I really need to start getting to bed earlier. Wednesday night it was 1am, and last night it was midnight! Maybe tonight I can get to bed by 11. It's just so hard when I have the whole evening to myself to design!
See what I made last night! Kami of Ziggle Designs has a new kit in her store, and I made some WordArt to go along with it! Don't you just love it!
And now for your freebee. This WordArt request is from Rachel. Don't you just love this font! Hope you like it! I know that I have all sorts of pics that will work for this one. Either pretending to be a cowboy, dressed up like a cowboy, or just riding around a stick in the backyard (what, don't your kids do that?).

Lives Forever Changed
So a lot of you wanted to know which diet my hubby and I have started, so I'll take just a minute and let you all know. We're doing Dr. Cohen's 1st Personal Diet. While there is a fee associated with it, I figured that we're spending more than that in diet meal bars (we're always on some type of diet or another). It's hard, and you have to eat only what's on the diet (but then, isn't that what a diet is :) and weigh and measure everything (but that plays into one of my personality strengths!), but it's working! We have a friend who's lost 26 lbs in 4 weeks.
I'll keep you all updated on my progress, and test it out for ya all :) hehehe. If it works as good as I think it's gonna work, I'll be back in my skinny clothes in no time!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
This WordArt request is for Chelsea. What a fabulous saying! I SO loved it!!! It was a bit long, but I think that it worked out pretty good :) She's gonna use it for the cover of her son's baby book. Let me know how it turns out!

My Baptism Day
Don't know if I've mentioned this here on this blog or not, but my hubby and I started a new diet last Monday, and I just wanted to brag and say that I've lost 8 lbs, and he's lost almost 10!!! Woohoo for us :) Sorry, just had to share :)
I want you to know that I searched the internet from top to bottom (ok, I may be exaggerating just a bit) to find a nice, short (always the key) poem on baptism to make a nice WordArt for Heather, but there's nothing. Absolutely nothing. So, this is what you get. I think it turned out quite nicely, but I still wanted that nice, short, and sweet poem. Oh well, we don't always get what ya want, right?
So here's 2 choices. The more "girly" choice, and the more "boyish" choice.

Boots For Walking
I thought that I'd take a minute and share a few pictures from our campout this past weekend. We had a GREAT time! It was our first Re-enactment of the year, and a very fun time. It was in a suburb of Cincinnati, on the north side, I think. Sharonville? Can't remember. Anyway, they had this really neat park with replica buildings from Civil War era. Perfect setting for a reenactment. If there were a bigger area for a battle, it would have been even better!
The kids had a lot of fun, and got to play in the wood and just be kids. Most kids don't get a chance to do that anymore. I'm so glad that our family does this as a hobby. It's a great family activity, and my kids get to learn TONS (more than they even want to!) about the history of our country. If you ever get the chance, you should go and see a reenactment. They're a great time, and you'll learn a lot!
Yes, the were CLOSELY supervised! That deep river and steep bank was NOT a highlight of my trip. I eventually laid branches out as a "don't cross this line" barrier so they could throw rocks into the river for a minute or two, then we moved on.

Here's Captain America again. He's on the gray horse (Travis). Merele, the guy on the far right, is kind enough to let us use his horse for the reenactments! Otherwise, we'd still be infantry. Cavalry is sure a lot of fun!
While you can't see Captain America, you can see his pistol and the shot coming from it. Only gunpowder is used, but ya sure wouldn't want to be standing near it when it goes off. It's still VERY dangerous, even without live fire (bullets). Gun safety is definitely taught in our household :)
And here's Tom (8 yrs)! Isn't he a cutie! His big brother let him borrow his habersack (that bag at his waist) and kepi (hat), and his dad is letting him pose with the sword. While sabers (swords) were RARELY used in battles, they were often still part of a cavalry mans uniform.
This is a WordArt request from Trina, who has a cute pic of her 3 month old in cowboy boots. Adorable! So, take your pick. Are you boots made for walking, or NOT for walking :) hehehe.

Accident
was reading in the forum over at ScrapOrchard about a little one (5 yr old) who had broken their arm, and thought about all of my accident prone kids. I've had busted lips, broken legs, stitches on eyebrows, dog bites to the eyelid, stitches on knees, bloody noses, missing toenails, bruises, bumps, knocked out teeth, mysterious swelling of hands, hives, bee stings, spider bites..... with 5 kids, we're VERY prone to accidents. Anyway, I thought that this would be cute with all of your pics of kids and boo boos (or not so little kids too! - i have one of my hubby after thanksgiving turkey bowl that would work too.....)

Children Feeling Cherished
Happy Sunday :) We're still on our Civil War weekend, and if you're reading this, then my scheduled post worked!!! (I was very prepared, and had it all ready THURSDAY night! Aren't you proud of me!)
I really liked this quote. I think that I need to do more cherishing in my house, and less correcting :) I do love my kids, and know that they do SO many things good and right! Love you guys :)
