New stuff in the store! And since you girls seem to LOVE the attitude stuff, I've got 2 for you this week! Click here to give it a look see!!! All layouts are by the FABULOUS Sharon :)
Well, I'd blog more, but I'm battling a TERRIBLE migraine. I'm about ready to get my monthly visitor, and CPT and I had a lovely go around, so I'm sure that those were some contributing factors to the fun that is a migraine. Anyway, not much exciting today.
We slept in, I didn't hike with the girls. CPT and I went to lunch at El Taco tote at noon, we drove on over to McKelligon canyon and bought the yearly park pass so we could hike when we wanted, hiked for about 30 minutes, then headed back to the bus to get the kids. And fought for the rest of the day. We were kinda only 1/2 fighting early in the day. Yeah, it was a real winner of a day... Yesterday was a good-ish one, though. Does that count? Sigh.
And it was all over cleaning. And how to keep cars/Suburbans clean. Do YOU have a clean vehicle? And if not, does it make your significant other upset??? Sigh. Anyway, I've gotta go and try to get some Miche stuff figured out for my FIRST ever party tomorrow at noon, and my head won't let me. Wish me luck. CPT and Tom and Jake are at the shoe store looking for Hiking boots, and the little 3 are already in bed. It's 8:oopm. I'm not too far behind them. This migraine is kicking my bed. Ambien may be my BFF tonight :)

So, long busy crazy day today! But it was a good one! It started off kinda tense, but was good :) The mood between CPT and I had been a bit strained, but we were trying. We keep trying, and I think that means something, right?
Anyway, got up at 6:45am with the kids, and got them ready and out the door and on the bus. I had time to get all pretty, and get Jake ready, and he and I headed out. CPT went to do his exercise, and he and I were gonna meet up at 11am.
Jake and I posed for a few pictures. Look how small my head looks! ROLF!
Loving my Miche!!!
Jake had a very good session, so good in fact, that Jake got moved to every 3 weeks. He's progressing so nicely :)
I dropped him off at school, and headed over to the west side. But stopped off at Circle K first to grab a banana, a sausage egg biscuit, and a soda. Then off I went. I chatted with my Mother-in-Law until it was time for our session.
CPT and I had decided to fly his parents out for a visit, and I was chatting with his mom about dates. Soon, it was time to go inside. CPT wasn't here yet, but neither was the therapist. I was the only one on time. Go figure. lol.
The guys eventually got there, and we started the session. It was tough at times... and I thought that it was getting no where at all. Then, at the very end, it magically got better. All better. When CPT and I left, we were holding hands and happy with each other. Our "assignment" for the week was to do 3 things a day for the other person that was in their love language. CPT's is acts and mine is words/gifts.
So when we headed back to Jake's school area for his ARD, I said that I wanted to ride in his truck so he could show it off to me. That was my #1 for him. He was SUPER happy. We ditched the white suburban. We made a quite drive thru run to Wendys, then went to Jake's school.
Kim met us there, and the ARD started. It was a great ARD. We got all of the things that we wanted. Jake gets out 5 minutes before lunch to avoid the crowds. His teachers are going to be VERY literal about directions and remind him about things. I'll get notified if he's in trouble. He can wear a hood or hat in PE because of the sun thing. We fixed his locker issue. Lots of little things that should make life easier for him, and help improve communication between the school and us, and help improve his grades. It was a good, but long, meeting.
After the meeting, Kim headed home, and CPT and I headed back towards the therapists office to pick up my Suburban. CPT headed over to get some truck work done on his Suburban, and I headed back towards post. I got to the bus stop a few minutes early, ordered the tickets for my in-laws, and chatted with Julia for a few minutes. She was SUPER upset because her daughter had LICE! The neighbor girl gave it to her. It was the neighbor girls 3rd time this school year. Sigh. Poor Brooke, she was the only other one in the class to get it. Probably because she played with this other girl a lot. Luckily, there were only a few. Julia is a HUGE clean "freak" though, and had plans to tear the house apart cleaning. I let her borrow my steam cleaner, and got her some plastic gloves after the kids got off the bus.
I dropped the kids off at home, and then Eme and I headed out to Piano lessons. I designed while Eme was having lessons. Her teacher, after her lesson was over, told me that Eme was doing SO well that she really needed to be in private lessons. She's progressing so quickly that she is leaving the class behind. She recommended having 30 minutes of private lessons instead the hour of group instruction. I'll call tomorrow and see what I can do. It's $75 instead of $60 a month. Dang piano is expensive!!! For 30 minutes a week for a month.
After piano, we headed back home. CPT texted and said that he was on his way home, and that he'd found the BEST Circle K in town. And asked if I wanted a drink. OF COURSE! hehe ;)
We swung by Little Cesears on the way back to post. I still had those free pizza and bread stick coupons, and it sounded very easy. We had to leave for the church close to 6:15pm. I didn't have time to cook. I ended up doing a 3 point back up maneuver in the parking lot, and back into a wall!!! A concrete one! Luckily, it just hit the trailer hitch. Still, my heart was pounding. I hate that! Nothing was damaged, thank goodness :)
I got the pizza, and we headed home, and got there the same time that CPT did. And my kids loved me, because I was bearing gifts. And yeah, when I looked at my phone app, this was totally the reason for all of the emotions and the pizza...
We had time for dinner, and then to get ready to go to scouts. We were gonna cut out pinewood derby cars tonight. I threw on a jacket because it was getting cold, and snapped a few pictures with the kids. Here's me and Tom.
And me and Jake.
I did an opening ceremony with the boys, then we had them draw their design on the cars. Then they cut them out with Brian (Kari's hubby, Leo's dad). It was a great meeting. It did go longer than it was supposed to, because some of the boys from other dens jumped into our meeting. We may need to address that at a committee meeting...
Charlotte's hubby, Dave (Matthew's dad) kept the other kids entertained by playing some games and doing some relays with them. Good job!
Jimmy is funny - lol.
Good job, Brian! You rock!
Thanks SO much to Brian for coming and helping out! We were at the church a good hour after Cub Scouts was supposed to get over. I don't think we got the kids to bed tonight until around 10pm. Yeah, they oughta have a hard time getting up in the morning. But, we have all of the cars cut out. Our den is taken care of!
Tomorrow the girls and I might go hiking. Should be a good time. CPT and I are gonna go and watch another episode of The Office. We watched one while I was blogging, but it was SO funny, I got distracted. hehe :)

Morning, girls! I was up and getting kids ready at 6:45am. All the kids were on the bus by 8am. CPT and I hung at the house for a while, then he went to lift, and Kim and I went to Walmart and Fallas. I had a list of odds and ends to pick up at Walmart, which we eventually chipped our way through.
Next, it was on to Fallas. That store is always so much fun. Lots of deals. Like this cool clock. CPT was saying that we needed one for our bedroom. And I LOVED this one :)
I also found a super cute dress. When I got home, I threw it on, and had just enough time to fix my hair before Kari texted and asked if I wanted to go and sign Joe up for Hockey when she went to sign Leo up. CPT was back, and was working on his truck. Aren't we cute? Ignore the lipstick on the lips - LOL.
We went to the YMCA, and paid the fee, and got the kids signed up. I put Joe in the 3rd and 4th grade league. Joe is supposed to be in the 3rd grade anyway. He's a good skater. Then we headed back to post, and went straight to the bus stop. We picked up the kids, went home, and the kids changed into swim clothes. I'd promised them the pool. They were so excited about using their new goggles :)
Poor Joe. Check out his his ouchy eye! And it turned blackened!
Kari had to go to a Hail and Farewell, and I was her babysitter. I took Josephine and Leo home from the pool, and I cooked Hot Dogs for dinner. We also had bean dip and chips to go with them. The kids LOVED them. We watched some Terra movie on Netflix about aliens. It was pretty good. CPT came in and out from working on his truck and watched part of it with us.
After the movie, I decided to try out a recipe for Pretzel Bites. Cause I wanna have them at my Miche Party at Maggie's house on Friday. And I didn't wanna try them for the first time on Friday. So, I texted out this recipe. It was FANTASTIC!!!
Here's how they looked when they turned out. They looked darker in the picture, but I thought they were super tasty a bit lighter. And I forgot the step about the butter. And the extra salt. Oops. We just dipped them in cream cheese sauce. Let me tell you about it. Take a can of sweetened consensed milk, and combine with 2 packages of cream cheese!!! OMHeavens, it's divine!!! Oh yeah. Definitely a recipe that I'll do again! It made 2 trays of pretzel bites this big.
I sent home some pretzel bits with Kari's kids when Justin got done with practice and came to pick them up, and I put my kids to bed at 8:00pm. Then I came in my room, watched some Once Upon a Time on IMDB.com, and blogged. I'm gonna go lay in my nice warm bed now, and relax for the nigh. See y'all tomorrow!!!

So. CPT was up late last night working on the kids' bikes, then was up early taking his Suburban in to get the mufflers worked on. I slept in till around 9am, when he called asking for a ride home.
Joe wanted to ride with me, so he and I loaded up in my white Suburban, and went to picked him up. I explained how I was just PMSy last night, and that's why I wasn't handling his crap, I mean the situation very well, and that I was sorry. It helped :) Amazing how well "I'm sorry" works, right? hehe. And I was sorry. I didn't wanna fly off the handle for no apparent reason. That's not cool. I totally know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of that one, you know - LOL.
Anyway, we came back home, and he was BEAT tired. He went back to bed, and slept till around 1pm. Must have been tired! hehe. I worked on my computer most of the morning, and the kids did their things. We had a few chore checks, and Tom and Eme had a mandatory outside play time (they were getting on my nerves).
Erin dropped her boys off at 11;30am so that she could go take a test. Her hubby is away on trainings, and since it's a holiday, all the schools/childcare centers are closed. Of COURSE I'd watch her kids. Especially since she had Jim practically all weekend! He kids were SO good, too. They just sat on the couch and watched America's Funniest Home Videos with my kids. It was funny to watch it with them. People getting hit in the head, chest, or groin. Yeah, THAT's humor.... LOL :) I know, I'm 5....
After she came to get them, I woke CPT America up, he got ready, the kids got ready, and we headed out to the movies. We were going to go and see The Muppets at the dollar theater. It was SO funny! I loved it. Sure, it was silly. They broke out in singing and dancing. But it was goofy silly. And it made me laugh! And I loved it!
"If I'm a Muppet, I'm a very manly Muppet"... "Are you one of the Ninja Turtles? Yes, yes I am"... "Maniacal laugh" I found myself laughing the whole time. Jake said it was dumb, but I KNOW he was laughing too! Even CPT was laughing - hehe.
CPT's Suburban was done after the movie, so we all headed back to pick it up. On the North East side. We dropped him and Jake and Joe off, and headed to the Dollar Tree. I wanted to get some prizes for my Miche Party. I'm starting to stress about it a little. ha!
I found some $ prizes, and some gift bags. Tiny ones. 3 for $1. That's what I'm talking about - LOL. The kids each got a prize, and we got some Popsicle, then we headed back home. We had another chore check, then CPT went skating. And I worked on my Miche presentation for a bit. I pulled in a folding table from the shed, and put a table cloth on it, and 2 stools, and my sheets of metal holder things. It was cute, but SUPER crowded.
We put the kids to bed, then I took it all apart. And grabbed another table from the shed, and started to set it up in the living room (I'd had it set up in the bedroom). I think CPT got annoyed with me for re-setting it back up, and huffily went to bed. Sigh. We were on good terms ALL day long... well, almost!)
Anyway, with the 2 tables and 3 stool, it was PERFECT! Now I'm gonna have to remember how I had it set up... I timed myself when I took it all down, and it only took me 13 minutes. I worked on some Miche stuff online, and ordered some paper supplies. And somehow it's now 11:30pm.
But I feel a little more confident on my presentation. I know what's in my "kit". I know that only current shells are in there. And I ordered some more Spring Catalogs. Those things are BEAUTIFUL!
I worked on my presentation and what I was gonna say. I watched a tutorial on how to enter the party totals and shipping and junk. I just feel a bit anxious about what I'm supposed to do! I'm glad that I'm doing it with friends. Because I know that they love me, and won't think I'm an idiot. Well, they already think that, and they still love me - hehe :) Thanks, girls!

Dude, I've been neglecting this lately... My trip was both really good, and tough at the same time. We had to come home early on Saturday. Joe fell on a trampoline and needed stitches.. He got 7 above his eyebrow on his left side. Poor kid!
Sunday was good and bad too. We had an ok time at church, and then got in a fight at home. Sigh. It's a day to day thing. I'm gonna go to bed early, I think. Wait. It's 10pm. That's not early. Oh well. I'm going to bed.
