Happy to Meet You

Hey there girls! Hope everyone is doing well :) Me? I'm pretty darn good! I woke up today early enough to get a text from Sharon saying that I hadn't posted my blog! Oops! I forgot to hit publish. hehe. I published it real fast, and then it was time to wake up. And I got the kids ready for school, and right before they headed out the door, Laurie dropped off 2 of her kids, saying that they'd missed the first Hughey bus (who knew there were 2 buses???), and if they could walk to the stop with my kids to catch the 2nd one. LOL. So they stayed, we had our family prayer, and out the door they all went, to the bus stop. In a little gang - ha!!

And I got to work cleaning. I cleaned the bathroom, and the living room, and the dining room, and the kitchen, and things were looking pretty good. Acceptable, anyway. And I made the most DIVINE dip for fruit EVER! Seriously. It was THAT good :)

You take 2 packages of cream cheese, softened, and beat it until fluffy. Ok, or until as fluffy as you can get it. I'm a little impatient, and didn't wait for it to warm up after I pulled it out of the fridge. Anyway, add in 24 oz of orange yogurt. I found Lite Orange Dreamsicle yogurt at Walmart. Walmart brand. And add the zest of 1 orange, and 2 TBSP of honey, and mix really really good until light and fluffy. Then mix in 1/2 cup of coconut. SOOOO stinkin' good!

And I cut up some apples and oranges (I forgot the bananas...), and some celery and carrots and cucumbers, and laid those out on a tray, and had some ranch dip, and some pretzels and crackers. And made some Diet Lemonade. Party ready to go!

Kari got there about 9:20am, and Laurie came next. And by 10am, Maggie and Charlotte were there too. We had SO much fun playing. And yeah, girls, next time, NO FOOD. I ate WAY too much, and didn't dance enough. hehe. Big group Just Dance 2 is not for exercise, but for socialness, I'm thinking - hehe.

Here's a photo I snapped of the girls dancing when I was sitting a round out.
And, I don't know if it'll click or not, but you can watch a 1 minute video of us playing HERE. It's on my facebook page, so maybe you have to be my friend? I'm not sure...

Anyway, it was a TON of fun, and over WAY too soon. The party only lasted for about 45 minutes, and the people had to start leaving. We're all pretty busy, and had various things to do. Sick kids needed picked up from school, students of the month needed their moms to eat lunch with them, groceries needed bought, the regular "stay at home mom" stuff...

Me? Yeah, I had nothing else that needed to be done, per se, for the day. Sure, there were a lot of things that I COULD do, but the cold meds that I'd taken earlier in the day were kicking in, so I decided to take it easy.

Captain America Skyped me as I was eating lunch, and we chatted for about 20 minutes, and he needed to go to bed. It was late where he was, and he was sleepy. Jake and I watched a movie, and yeah, I TOTALLY fell asleep in it. All I know is that I woke up at 2:30ish, wrapped in my red Elmo blanket, feeling rested. Jake had tucked me in apparently. What a sweet boy!

I went to the bus stop and picked up Jim, and he and I and Maggie and her kids went to the park to play. And were there for about an hour, until the rest of the kids got off of the bus. We came back home, and I chatted with my neighbor Leigh for quite a while (AWESOME lady! Love her :), then relaxed for the evening. I know that I played Just Dance with Jim for a bit before he ditched me, then I turned on the "Just Sweat" part, and programed it for hard. I need to "sweat" 2000 points a day. So I sweated almost 4000. Ha! Take that, Just Dance 2! hehe.

And then I started on dinner. Friday is the new pizza night! I cooked, and Jim Wii'ed for a while.

Oh yeah, I'm sexy.... Honey, aren't you sad you aren't here to see me! hehe.
And here's my 3 batches of pizza dough. Take 1 packet of yeast, and dissolve it in 1 cup of hot to warm water, with 2 TBSP of sugar, until foamy.

While it was sitting, I called back my Grandma Ida and chatted with her for a bit. She's SUCH an awesome lady :) She turned 80 last year. And she's still as active as ever. Love ya, Grandma!!!

And after chatting with Grandma Ida, I added the rest of the ingredients. 2 1/2 cups of flour, and 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of onion powder, 2 tsp of italian seasoning, and 2 TBSP of oil. And mix well and kneed for a bit.

I LOVE my pizza stone, but my other pans are just regular metal pizza pans. I think I have about 5 of them - hehe. I oil them REALLY good (no non-stick spray - use oil), and dust it with Cornmeal. Then roll out the pizza dough on the counter, and transfer it to the stone/pan.

I used 1 28 oz can of spaghetti sauce for 3 pizzas, and then added cheese and toppings. Mmmm, yummy!

Once the pizza was all done cooking, we turned off the games, and turned on a movie. Jake and Tom and Boxer were on one couch, Eme and Jim on another, and Joe and I snuggled on a couch. And he and I both fell asleep part way through the movie. hehe. We'll have to watch the end sometime later, I guess :)

Jake carried Joe to bed, and I helped get everyone else to bed, then retreated to my room for the night. And to blog. I'm sleepy. I didn't eat well today. And I'm feeling it. I NEVER eat the pizza, and I totally did tonight. But not tomorrow. I'm gonna do fabulous tomorrow with my eating. I really am! I feel SO good when I'm on my menu. I really do. And I have more energy. And am happier. So that's it! Tomorrow, I'm back on the diet! Not to loose weight, but to maintain. Maintanence is VERY important!

High Hopes

New stuff in the store!!! Hope you guys enjoy! Click HERE to go to my store :)

Hey there, peeps! Happy Friday, right? How was your Thursday? Mine was pretty good with a few rocky patches - LOL!

But first, here's a few pics from last night at Carls Jr. I found them on my camera when I downloaded the photos this morning :)

Me, being SUPER thrilled with Carls Jr...

I watched a few episodes of Persons Unknown last night, and then Captain America Skyped me. Woohoo!! We were able to chat for more than an hour :) And then I watched some more TV, and finally, around 2am, went to bed.

Anyway, I had an interesting morning. I woke up at 7:30am. No so good, since the kids were supposed to leave for the bus. Luckily, they were ALL ready to go, so they just gave me hugs, and off they went. And I totally went back to sleep. I didn't have my phone, didn't know where it was, and was sleepy, so just slept.

And yeah, I totally woke up at 8:50am. Good, if it were Wednesday. But it was Thursday, which mean Hiking in the mountains at 9am day. WHAAAAT? Plus, since i couldn't find my phone, I couldn't tell anyone I was running behind. So, I had 10 minutes to get up, get ready, eat breakfast, and make sure the kids were situated. It was close - ha!

Laurie came over and dropped off Rowan to play with Jim and Jake, and then Kari came over, and off we went. And headed over Transmountain to the Franklin Mountains.

Here's a few pictures from our hike. We had to be back in time for Jim to get to school and Laurie to get Rowan to his tumbling class, so we went on a shorter hike this week.

I got home, took Jim to school, came back, and had lunch with Jake. We watched the last episode of Persons Unknown. And yeah, strange. Didn't care for the ending much, but still, I really enjoyed the series...

After lunch, Jake washed Boxer, cause he was rolling in the dirt - hehe. Here's Boxer snuggling on the couch, trying to warm up :)

I got Jim from the bus at 2:30pm, and he and I hurried off to Walmart/Dollar Tree. And I knew that I only had about an hour before I had to pick up the kids from AQ. So, it was gonna be a VERY fast trip.

First, we went to the Dollar Tree, and I grabbed a few things. And they actually had my bread this time! Woohoo! I grabbed a few things for my Wii party tomorrow, then Jim and I headed to Walmart.

And grabbed some fruit and veggies and stuff for tomorrow, and then we went to the check out. And only had 2 people in front of us! Miracle of miracles...

Yeah, I totally look like a thug...

We hurried and paid and headed to the school. And got there only a few minutes after AQ got out. Not bad, huh? And I picked up Eme and Tom and we headed home.

And my friend Aimee texted with me for a bit, and was asking about if I was feeling alone with Captain America being gone. Her hubby is with the same unit. But she's living with her family in Idaho, and has 4 little kids, and is prego with #5. No older kids like me. So yeah, I could see where she'd be feeling a bit more lonely.

Anyway, I said how I was feeling good, and things were going fine. And yeah, I TOTALLY jinxed myself. Next time, I'm gonna tell everyone that things are sucky, and then I won't Jinx myself - hehe.

So, as soon as I was done texting Aimee, I started kids on chores and I started dinner. And people were fighting and carrying on and whining and complaining, and yeah, I wasn't dealing well with it. RUDE people. I turned into the yelling mom for a few minutes, and after sending all of the offending people to their rooms, Joe and Jim and Eme and I had a pleasant time cooking French Toast :) I SOOOO wanted to spank Jacob. SO much. But how do you spank someone who weighs 60 lbs more than you?

After dinner, Jim and Joe and I headed to the Hockey rink, and Tom wanted to go too. So we left Jake and Eme (and Boxer) at home, and off we went.

And Jim had a TON more fun this time! He had a dude helping him (which he said was SUPER better than the guy from last time - hehe) learn to skate, and he was doing SO much better.

Kari and I hung and chatted the whole time, and the hour passed super fast. We had fun trying to figure out which kids were ours. Cause they all looked the same - hehe. And joked about putting them in pink hoodies, or painting flowers on their helmets. ha!

We headed home around 7:10pm, and were home and getting kids ready for bed by 7:30pm. Little boys were in bed by 8pm, and Jake and Tom and I sat down to watch an Episode of Chuck.

It's now 8:35pm, and I need to load my store, and I'm done with work for the night :) Maybe I'll watch a movie. That sounds like fun :)

Super cute, Sharon!!!

Food, Friends, and Fun

Morning, all! Hows the week going so far? Mine's pretty good. I got up at 6:45am, read scriptures, said prayers, got ready, got kids ready, and on the bus at 7:30am.

I spent the morning on my computer, designing a little, checking emails, facebooking, etc... And I'm not really sure what I did for the morning, but it passed - LOL! And soon it was time to get to the bus.

Oh yeah! I remember! I went to the post office a little after 10am to ship Captain America's trunk! Almost 40 lbs, and $82. Dang, that's SUPER expensive! It had a ton of stuff that he wanted in it, though..

Anyway, got back home in time to pick Jim up, drop him off at the bus, and head to Kari's house to pick her up for Yoga. And we were a few minutes late, but we got there before it started all the way.

A skype call from Captain America came in as we were heading to the room, but the connection was SO bad that I didn't call him back. Looking back, maybe I should have. Just skipped Yoga and called him on skype. Sure do miss that boy!

But I went to Yoga, and got myself centered for the day. It was SO nice. Lots of stretching and calming myself. Gotta love it.

We were back home around 12:30pm, and I got ready for lunch. I chatted with Captain America for a few minutes on Skype as I got ready for lunch, and he headed off to bed. It was super late where he was. Anyway, at 1:15, I was ready to go, and went outside in the sunshine to wait for Kari.

And then we headed to Olive Garden. Jake was picking up Jim and Maggie's son, Jake, from the bus stop at 2:30, so we were all set! Woohoo!

It was Kari and I and Maggie and Veronica and Laurie and a girl from the neighborhood who's hubby is in Captain Americas battalion named Nicole came too! It was a fun group. We ate and chatted and laughed and joked and had a blast! Thanks, girls, for the fun at lunch!

Soup and salad and breadsticks is SO yummy!

And on the way out, Kari and I found this truck - ROFL! And I wanted my picture taken in front of it. And, of course, the dude who owns it walked out as soon as I struck my pose. LOL!

And check out my POOR finger. I picked it (hangnail) at lunch, and saw that it was bleeding, so I put on a bandaid from my purse. Then checked it again about 15 minutes later, and it was ALL bloody. Crappy bandaids, me thinks... This is my 2nd soaked bandaid...

We got home around 3:30pm, when the kids got off the bus. And then I went to pick up Tom and Eme from AQ, brought them back home, and was SO tired. I felt like I was getting a headache, so I took some tylenol and advil, and a decongestant. And I was out of the non drowsy one, so I took the drowsy one :) Which was probably why I needed the nap. LOL.

Anyway, I went and laid down, and was woken up at 5pm to Joe crying about something or another... What a way to be woken up, right? I felt like I'd JUST laid my head down on the pillow. Before I'd laid down, I'd re-done the chore chart, and had set the kids about cleaning up. Really, they did a pretty good job.

I cooked dinner (chili and cornbread), and the kids and I made some cookies, and I designed for a while, and soon it was time to get ready for Scouts. And I realized that I'd failed to have Joe do his homework. Crap. I decided to have him do it when he woke up in the morning.

We got Boxer in his kennel, and out the door we went. We dropped Jake and Tom off at Scouts at church, and Eme and Joe and Jim and I went on to Carls Jr. I sent the kids in to play, and I ordered a big drink and a large fries for everyone to share.

And yeah, look, I totally left the funny bandaid on my head - hehe. I'm such a dork :)
Nice zits, right? What's up with that! I've got about 4-5 new ones, today alone. SO not cool... Anyway, I designed and realized that I could get free Wi-Fi. Sa-weet!

We headed back to the church at 8:30, picked up the kids, and at 9:30am, everyone was in bed. I laid down with Jim and Joe for a bit, and durn near fell asleep in there. hehe.

Jake and Tom went to bed shortly after, and I sat down and started blogging. And watching an episode of Persons Unknown. And somewhere in the middle of blogging, Captain America Skyped me! I got to video chat with him for a few hours, and it was SO nice :) Just chatting and hanging out with my honey :) Miss ya, babe!

Anyway, it's after 1am, and I'm still blogging. And I'm still watching TV. And I'm still sleepy - hehe. But I'm happy. And love my sweetheart :)

Awesome, Sharon! Good one!
