Dreams Take You

Well, I should be in Cincinatti right now, on the train, Civil War Reenacting. Hopefully your reading this, and the scheduled posting is working. hehehe.

Back on Memorial Day when we went to friends house, the Tyres's, Michelle, the mom, was showing me her Digiscrapping stuff, and I saw a few WordArts that went across the top of the page, then down the side. They were pretty cool, so I thought I'd try my hand at some! What do ya think? Pretty neat, he?

This WordArt request is for Karen. Hope you like it, girl!

This layout was sent in by Karen. Isn't it fabulous! She really did a great job with it. I'm so glad I could help you out with your WordArt request! Love the page, and I'm sure your daughter will to! She's gorgeous, btw!

sorry, she didn't include the credits - if you happen to know, or see something familiar, post it in the comments, would ya?

World's Greatest Daddy

I spent yesterday fast and furiously schooling, designing, sewing, and cooking! Wow, I was sure busy. We leave today for another Civil War reenactment, this time a Train Robbery. I'm SO excited, and so are the kids! If you're in the Cincinnati area, come by and check us out :)

This WordArt request is from Carrie, and while I don't know if it totally fits her request, it is Dad themed. Look HERE to find more Dad wordarts :) I know that I'm gonna have a lot of fun using this one in my layouts of my husband and my kids!

Papers and elements came from Betty Jo Martin, Ruth Davis, Karen Aicken, and Julie Mead - Artistic Fall Collection 2 - escapeandscrap.net; Elements from Rina at SBB ; template from Erica at Templates by Erica (with slight modifications due to size)

Thanks so much to Kim for sending in her layout! Didn't she do a fabulous job! What a cute little family you have :) Thanks again!

King and Queen

OK, OK, so today's WordArt was neat, but not so cool. I get it. Here's 2 more, and hopefully they're better! When I read the saying, I laughed! Yep, sometimes my kids act this way too. Heck, sometimes I ACT this way! hehehe.

Hope you enjoy! Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work.

Shield

This WordArt request is for Gwen. She wanted something relating to Law Enforcement. I thought that this would be cute for pics of kids meeting the police officers, or kids playing "cops and robbbers", or even kids dressed up as knights (you know, shield). Hope you enjoy :)

Mind Leaves

Last night was our last regular Cub Scout meeting of the school year. We had a cookout, and the kids played in the crick. It would have been even better if it wasn't raining! Hehehe. But that didn't bother me! I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, remember! If we let a little bit of rain stop our fun, we'd never leave the house! So, our cookout SO reminded me of home!

We can't get Jimmy to "smile", so Captain America decided to join him in the goofy face :)

Yep, it was a bandana day....again :)

Isn't this an awesome pic of Joe! Sure, it's a forced smile, but he's just so stinkin' cute!

Here's Jimmy and the Cubmaster's son, looking at the crick. Aren't they cute!

And here's Jimmy, running off to see something - probably to see the bunnies (our Cubmaster and his wife raise them, then sell them to 4H kids)

And now on to WordArt.

This is a WordArt request for MrsHomerLynn - it's such a funny quote, but sad in my case, because it's SO TRUE! I've heard that with each pregnancy, you loose a bit of your mind - well, I've been pregnant 7 times, so what does that say about ME!!! LOL!

Holds the Future

We had a great day yesterday. Captain America washed and waxed both of the rigs (he's very particular about his vehicles, and takes great pride in making them look as good as he can - it took HOURS) in the morning.

Then we went to our friends (who have 5 kids too!) house in the afternoon. We played in the crick (creek for your non-rednecks- hehehe), played corn hole (bean bags for your non-midwesterners), played croquet, rode 4 wheelers, BBQ'ed (well, we ate our lovely diet food, everyone else had burgers, fries, cheesecake, brownies, grapes, and strawberries - yeah, that was fun to turn away for sliced cucumbers and a bit of steak). It really was a great time. I'd post pics, but my camera was dead (sorry mom!). My friend said she'd email some pics she took, so that's good!

This WordArt request is from Diana, who wanted this quote for a graduation layout. I figured that you all could use it, since it is that time of the year. Here in Southern Ohio, they had graduation on a Sunday. Does that seem weird to anyone else? Oh well.

Memorial Day Remembered

Last night, I was all ready to post the freebie for today, then realized that it was Memorial Day, and I should have something appropriate. Do you know how many really awesome soldier/fallen hero quotes there are? A TON! The first one I picked because I like the song, and the 2nd one I picked because....well... just read the quote and you'll LOVE it too!

Today, at 3:00pm EST, there will be a moment of silence to remember those fallen heroes we are so grateful for. Remember what Memorial day is really all about :)

Star Wars

What a gorgeous Saturday we had! Sunny, not too cold, not too hot, just perfect! Gotta love it!

OK, as I was going through my emails to figure out which WordArt I was supposed to make for today (I try and do them in order that they were received), I remembered that someone asked for a Star Wars WordArt, but I don't have that email any more. So, if it was for you, please let me know by posting a comment on this post, and I'll be sure to let eveyone know it was made just for you :)

Thanks so much to Jody for sending in this clever layout. My boys would LOVE it! When we get together with extended family, there's likely to be a giant light saber duel. Yeah, we're kinda geeky :) hehhe.
