You Feel

Did I tell you guys that I've started jogging. Yeah, I'm not gonna be the "out of shape" one in the relationship - hehehe. Just like when Captain America decided to join the army, and had to lose 50 lbs, I wasn't gonna be the "fat" one, so I did the same program and lost 55 lbs myself. So, I jogged a mile M, T, W, Th, and Friday. Aren't you proud of me. It's not a great pace (LOL!), but it's definitely jogging. I'm so proud of myself :)

Yesterday was my Grandma Ida (my mom's mom)'s 78th birthday. She's such a great lady! I LOVE you, Grandma Ida! I hope you had a great day! And your cake smelled SO good. I hope you liked it! BTW, it was a really neat cake (from Wal-Mart bakery), and it was pre-cut. How cool is that! OK, so not as cool as we thought at the time, but it was pretty cool! You'll just have to take my word on it!

Last night my dad and I watched "America's Toughest Jobs" on NBC. Have you guys watched that? It's not one that I usually watch, but this one was all about logging. Well, that's what my dad does. It was really neat watching it with him, and getting his take on it all. He's such a tough guy. I don't know how he does it!

Oh yeah, and if anyone is still reading this, I have a message for Sharon D. Long story, but she's been emailing me for a few weeks (maybe longer). I respond to each of her emails, sometimes several times, but it appears that she doesn't get them. So, this is for you, Sharon. I'm getting your emails, and I'm replying to them, but for some reason, you're not getting them. You wanted a custom WordArt for "All because 2 people fell in love", and I've already done that one as a freebie. HERE's the link for it :)

Hehehe, see the link's I go to to keep everyone happy - LOL!

This WordArt request is from Barbara. I thought it was a very nice quote, and you can't be Eleanor Roosevelt! Thanks for the request! Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work.

Swinging on a Star

OK, you guys. I've become spoiled already, I think. Since Captain America left for OCS, I talked to him on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. No phone call on Wednesday. No phone call on Thursday! How did I possibly make it for 9 weeks without phone contact. I'm getting soft - LOL!

I went to a 3 person baby shower last night. There were 3 girls in our ward that had babies within 2 weeks of each other. Cool, eh? One had a boy (4th boy), one had a girl (3rd girl, has one boy), and one had a boy (1st boy, has 2 girls). It was a lot of fun. We played some fun games that I hadn't played before.

Here's one for ya. You sit on a chair, and have a pile of stuff at your feet (toys, blanket, sock, pencil, odds and ends). The object is to see how fast you can toss the stuff away from you, using only your feet. Well, since I'm the QUEEN of toes, I, of course, won! People were doing it in 15, 20, 25 seconds. Me, you ask? 8. Yep, 8 seconds. I HATE to wear shoes, because you can't pick things up with your shoes on - LOL!

Another game was guess what's in the diaper. And this isn't the melted mini chocolate bar game, but that one's fun too. These were 20 diapers, wrapped up, with various foods and stuff inside them. Like soy sauce, Vicks, peanut butter, tuna, feta cheese, apple juice, chocolate chips, Desitin, pears, bananas, maple syrup. That one was kinda fun too. I've noticed since I don't eat a lot of food, my sense of smell is pretty good :) I got 9 (2nd highest score - yeah me!!!)

All in all, it was a pretty fun baby shower :) Everyone had a great time, and my mom watched my kids so that I could go, so it was a WONDERFUL kid free time for me :)

Well, I have another WordArt collab with Crystal!!! This newest kit of hers is AWESOME! Here's the preview:

See, didn't she do a great job :) I told you it was COOL!!! Well, I made up 2 WordArts using her kit, one for me and one for her. Below is the one offered at her blog. Click HERE to go to Crystals Blog to get this WordArt.

And here's the one I made for you guys. It's my favorite of the two :) I like the way that the 2 stars are a little off set, and, blue and gold are GREAT colors :) Go Vikings (my high school colors and mascott- hehehe). Trust Me

First off, I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Gail, my Blog Manager! I haven't taken the time to introduce her, and say "GREAT JOB!!!" If you haven't noticed, she's got all of my WordArt blog freebies filed over there on the right hand side of the blog. They're all linked up and listed by subject. She totally ROCKS!!! Thanks so much for all of your hard work!

Also, I just brought on Diane as my Blog Publicist. What's that, you say? Well, she's gonna be sharing my freebies over at digiscrapdepot.com. That's where I first started getting freebies. There's a place where designers can link up their freebies. It's a nice little site. Any of you know of any other sites where you can link up your freebies? Anyway, thanks Diane, for coming on, and helping me out!!!

Wow, you guys! I've got a TON on new stuff hitting the store this Friday :) But, I've posted the links to my "secret" store (hehehe) here for you all :) I tried something new this week, with the calendars. Sine (from the orchard) requested it, and I thought I'd give it a try. I made the personal use one, and the CU one too :) Aren't I nice :)

Wow, are you all still with me :) That was a LOT of WordArt packs - I didn't realize I'd designed that much - pfew! What a busy week :) Most of that was Wednesday, too :) hehehe.

Today's WordArt request comes from Anna Dawn, and I thought that it was HILARIOUS! Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work.

You Light Up My Life

Another busy day at the Harty/Winona household :) Kids came home at 3:45, Eme needed picked up from cheerleading at 4:30, Jake dropped off at football at 5:00, Tom dropped off at football at 6:15, then Jacob picked up at 6:30, then Tom picked up at 7:15. My goodness! I have a greater respect/pity for all of you "soccer moms" out there - LOL!

I must say, that I'm SO enjoying this new training that my hubby is in. I've talked to him every day since last Thursday! He got his cell phone back on Saturday, and still has it! We talked 3 times today :) This is gonna be a much nicer training, I can already tell :)

He did really well on his PT (physical training) test today. They have 2 minutes to see how many PU (push ups), SU (sit ups), and how fast they can do a 2 mile run for their test. They get a certain number of points, based on a scale of 100 per area. So, a total of 300. He scored a 268. Well done, sweetheart!

From what I've gathered so far, the process is this: At about 6 weeks in, the men get to choose their "MOS", or "jobs" (I think that's what it's called). There's a list of about 180 openings. The higher you score on all of the tests, the more accumulative points you will receive. At the 6 weeks, the guy with the highest score picks first. Then, it goes on down the line. If you get to the bottom of the open list, and there's still guys left over (an no openings), they go back to enlisted, and don't become officers. No pressure, or anything!

But, he also said that he THINKS that at about 7 weeks, we'll get our station orders, and know where we'll be moving!!! We won't actually move until the end of the training time, but we'll actually KNOW where we'll be. That will be SO nice to be able to plan :) I LOVE to make a plan - hehehe. So, now you're all caught up on my CRAZY life :) hehehe.

This WordArt request was left on my blog as a comment, but no name was left. This person said that this song was played at their wedding, 30 years ago! I hope you enjoy it :)

Geek in Training

First off, I just wanted to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to my sister, Madi (23 this year!)! Hope your day is FABULOUS!!!

Well, I decided to spend the day with my 3 year old today. Not that I usually don't spend the day with him, but emotionally, I wanted to be there for him :) He's been having a rough time (it's not easy being 3, you know - especially when you're daddy is gone, and you have no home). Not a day goes by that he doesn't ask to go back to his real home. Poor little guy. So, I just followed him around today, and chatted with him a lot. I hope it helped :) He didn't seem to do as many "naughty" things today as normal. They do eventually grow up, right?

Ha! I shouldn't admit that I could use this WordArt as much as I can, but, um, there's no denying it :) We're kinda a geeky family - hehehe! We just LOVE Sci-Fi stuff, and have LOTS of computers. I guess there's not hope for us. Well, there's much worse things that was could be - LOL! This WordArt request is from Sharon Kay. Thanks! Light of Your Own

Well, I think I'm finally getting caught back up on life - hehehe. 3 hour time changes can play havoc on your body. My eating times have been all messed up, and I keep waking up at 5am. Hopefully this will work itself out in the next few day :) LOL!

The kids were happy to see me when I got home, and I was VERY glad to see them. I just LOVE my kids :) I'm so glad they're mine :)

This request comes from Elaine. What a nice quote. I hope you like it! Click on the image below to go to to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work :)

One Life

So, it's Friday night in my hotel room in Kentucky, and I decided that I'd be too tired on Saturday night to design, so I'm pre-publishing this :) I'll let ya know later how my trip back home went. I'm sure it will be fine - it's a direct flight this time. No layovers - that makes the trip much nicer :)

Isn't this one pretty? I really liked it :) Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work. :)
