Whispered Heart

OK, I had to share a few pics that I scrapped from our day yesterday. How cool are these! I just love family pictures :) This one is from the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. It was pretty neat. There were 2 bus loads of school kids there at the same time as us, so it was pretty crazy! But the kids had fun looking at the replica boat, and visiting the fort. Pretty cool stuff!

Then, we headed over the river to the Arch. That was awesome. I'd only ever driven by it, but seeing it up close was AWESOME! It's so huge! Very impressive. And under the arch, there's a huge museum. Who knew? It's the Museum of Westward Expansion, and has all sorts of great things inside. We had a good time taking pictures of EVERYTHING! Here's a few pages from us outside on the Arch grounds.

Then, we drove into the city and saw Busch Stadium, where the Cardinals play, and the Scottrade Center, where the Blues play, and the Edwards Jones Dome, where the Rams play. Can you tell that someone in the family is into sports? hehehehe. And check out all of our Cardinals shirts. We bought a different one for each of us. Amazing that Wal-mart had that many different choices, eh? We figured we'd save a ton of money buying them there instead of from a touristy place! Aren't we cute :)

We're gonna be heading back to Ohio today, making the LONG DRIVE with a car full of tired kids. But, we're gonna be listening to the 2nd book in our book on CD. I must say, it sure helps the time go by! I would highly recommend it. We're listening to "The Golden Compass", which, I think, is a great story. I was initially scared off, because of all of the bad press about it being "anti-religion". I must say, I didn't see it in there. If by anti-religion, they mean anti-corrupt evil organization, then yeah, it is. But who isn't? That's not what my religion is, and I doubt it's what yours is either :) Anyway, enough about that :)

So, here's the WordArt for today. It's a suggestion from Colette. Isn't it a great quote! Love it :) Hope you all like it. Click on the WordArt below to download, and leave some love if you like my work.

Raise Sons

We have another fun and exciting day planned for St. Louis. First, we're off to see the Louis & Clark Museum (my hubby is a HUGE history buff....hmmm...should explain the civil war reenactor thing!), and then off to see Busch Stadium, where the Cardinals play. We'll also see the Arch Museum, and walk around downtown a bit. Should be a GREAT TIME!

This WordArt is for Jenny. I do like this quote, and am excited to use it on my own layout with my boys! Hope you like it, Jenny!

Who I Am

Hi from St. Louis! We had a great time yesterday. We went to the St. Louis Science Center, which was awesome! My little one, Jimmy, was terrified by the dinosaurs. So funny :) There were a lot of hands on activities for the kids.

Papers and Elements - Raspberry Roads

We were able to go to Build-A-Bear workshop in the Science Center. Boy they are spendy. Didn't realize how much those little buggers cost. So, we got 1 for the whole family to share :) We picked out a puppy, and he has 7 hearts. Hehehehe. They even made my husband and I do the routine and put in a heart. So funny :)

Paper - Raspberry Roads

Then, we went to Cahokia Mounds. Awesome time :) We live in Southern Ohio, near Chillicothe, where the Hopewell Culture Natural Historical Park - Mound City is. So it was kind of fun to visit Cahokia Mounds too! Great interpretive center! We walked up on top of the mound itself, where I noticed that my kids are sorely out of shape. hehehe. We went out to dinner that night, and it's the first time in a while that we had equal ratio of kids to adults. Usually doesn't happen with our group :) Then, back at the Uncles' house, we had b-day cake and ice cream for my husband. What a great day!!!!!

So, back to WordArt :)

I thought that this one turned out really cute. I went on a "font hunt" the other night, and found quite a few new ones that I like. This is a WordArt request from Gemma. How true it is! Isn't that all we really want. For someone to love us for US! And, isn't that how we should treat those we love. That we love them for THEM. Great sentiment! I think it would make a great layout for kids being goofy.

Every Chance

This is a WordArt request from Aimee. What a great saying. I totally agree. I tell this to myself when I'm a "mean mom", or when I mess up. Just take a deep breath, and try again. That's the beauty of life. You can choose how you want to act in every instance. Awesome :)

We're On Vacation!

Yeah, we finally made it to St. Louis :) Sunday, we drove from Southern Ohio to Chicago (Joliet), and stayed the night at our house that's for sale. We turned off the water and the gas last time we were there, but at least spring had come, so it wasn't cold :) But, with no water, and 5 kids, that was a little tricky.

We spent the day in Joliet, going to my favorite thrift store (it was 1/2 price day) and visiting with friends. We headed out for St. Louis at 3:30, stopping at about 5:30 for dinner at Crackle Barrel. It's my hubbys B-day, and had a good time! We do love Crackle Barrel :)

We rolled into St. Louis (Edwardsville) at about 9:30 or so, and am glad to be here! The kids are loving seeing their uncles and aunt, and playing with the cats. We don't have pets, so the kids are having a BLAST!

So, I didn't check my email for over 24 hours, and I got 45 emails from you all! I'm gonna be a while getting back to you all, and posting your layouts, and such. So, please be patient with me :) I did hear that there was a problem with the WordArt for today, and have that fixed now. So, enjoy!

Take care :)

Wash His Face

I know, again with the double posting :) Well, since I have almost all boys, I know how hard it is to find eveything GIRLS! So, I decided to put up a boy quote to match the girl quote. See, it all makes sense :) I know that I have SO MANY pictures of my little boys with their faces dirty. Funny, but it is one of the worst things you can do to them! It's like it takes all the fun of their play away when you "wash it off". Like they're saving it for memories of the good times. hehehe.

Forever In Bloom

This WordArt request is from LJ. I thought that it was a very nice quote. I'm so glad that I have at least 1 daughter. We have 4 boys, and just 1 little girl. My poor mother-in-law had 6 boys before finally getting her girl. Can you imagine? Girls definitely are special little things. That being said (and that I love my daughter to death), I'm sure glad that I only have one :) My personality type does so much better with boys!!! hehehe.

Your Life is a Miracle

Hi all! We're off and on our way to Illinois! We should be getting to Joliet around 9pm, then have a busy Monday planned. After all that, we're driving down to St. Louis (4 hours away), and will be there for the rest of the week! Yeah for Spring Break :)

This is a WordArt request from Tanja. I've seen it around for a while now, and haven't yet tackled it. I think it gets the award of most tricky quote to WordArt. Boy did it give me problems. But, I'm satisfied with the finished product. Hopefully you'll like it too!
