Stand By Me

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little sister Maddie! Hope your day is FANTABULOUS!!!! Plus, it's her due date today with baby #3!!! Good luck with that, too! Boys are SO different that girls. I like boys better, myself. hehe. Go eat some cake for me!!!! And ice cream too!!!

Hey, I totally remembered to load my store this week! Oh yeah! I'm on the ball! Woo hoo! hehe :) Isn't that sad. My drugs must be working properly now - hehe :) Click HERE to go to my store to check out this weeks new releases, and to check out the newer stuff that's in there. You may be surprised at all the NEW stuff from the past few weeks that magically appeared there!!!

All layouts by Sharon :) Thanks, hon!!!

Morning, y'all! I woke up at 5:25am, got Jake ready for school, and headed off to Seminary. And had a nice little nap, snuggled nicely into my blanket. I love that little blanket. It's SO snuggely. Maybe that's what I should call it. Mr. Snuggely. That's kinda' dumb, but I like it.

Anyway, Jake woke me up after, and we headed home. Tom headed off to school at 7am, and I got the other kids ready for school, and headed to the bus. The moms chatted for a while, and we saw Jake head off to his bus. Poor Amanda was sick. She looked pretty bad. Poor girl :( I hate it when my friends are sick...

I got home and sat on the couch with the dog for a few minutes. I closed my eyes for about 15 minutes, then decided that I should go do something productive. So I went to take a shower and get ready for the day. I sewed up my new skit (it was a HUGE size but super cute), and even snapped a few photos.

There ya go, Captain America! Non goofy photos! It IS possible - hehe :) I didn't wanna just sit home, so I decided to go and fill the car up with gas, and go to Big Lots before picked up Kari for the movies. First stop, Shoppette. I got my 8+ gallons of gas, and go this for free! Sure, it's no Kit Kat or snickers, but yeah, it WAS free... some kid should like it...
And I got this for me :) It's just sad that Diet Coke is now better than Diet Dr Pepper...
Here's me on the way to Big Lot's rappin'. Yeah, it's my rappin' face. I don't know why my lips stick out like that. hehe. They just do. I bet you wish you could come and go on a drive with me, huh? Or to a dance with me? Oh yeah!

I found a few clearance snacks at Big Lots, and a clearance Scarecrow for the Front yard. The kids have been on me to get something to put in the front yard for days. And I finally did :)

I came back to post, hurried home, dropped off the scarecrow, put some carmel corn into individual bags, put some pretzel pieces in bags, and headed to pick up Kari. And off to the movies we went. Since we're taking the kids tomorrow, we decided to skip snacks today. No point spending tons of money if we don't have to, right?

We smuggled in snacks (naughty, I know... Don't tell on us), and only paid $4.50 for the first movie of the day matinee. The show started at 11am, and we were the only people in the theater! 2 more came about 10 minutes into the movie. I really liked it! Contagion. It was a good one. I think Kari liked it too :)

After the movie, Kari and I stopped by the Jewelry Box. Kari got a few pairs of Sunglasses. I got a sunglasses, some nail polish, and some dollar bags of jewelry. We paid, and headed home. I dropped her off, and went home to check on the dog.

Boxer had made a HUGE mess, but I figured that since it was only about an hour until Tom was supposed to get home, that I'd let him clean up the mess. Yeah, not nice of me, I know. But I wasn't then one that wanted to get the pet.... Not a good excuse, I know.... Shame on me.

So I grabbed my computer and nail polish, and headed to Amanda's house. We did our nails, and she edited some photos, and I worked on loading my store. Then, right before the bus came, we made a quick Sonic run.

Here's me in my new "Maggie" glasses from Jewelry Box at Amanda's house
And me wearing my new pink earrings from the Jewelry box
Here's me heading out to go to Sonic. Freaking glasses go stuck on my hair!!!

See my nails! Aren't they pretty! I did a different color of glitter polish on each nail to see which I liked the best. i think I like the thick blue the best. And my fluffy pink ring.
So since my Topomax is now making me not hungry, I decided that for this one day, I was gonna take advantage of it. And eat a Sonic Blast mini Oreo. For dinner. Because I wouldn't be hungry later. Sigh. It was so good!

Washed down by at RT 44 Diet Dr Pepper. Remind me to get a Coke Zero next time. DDP isn't my favorite on Topomax. Nasty stuff on these drugs.... Blasphemy, I know...
We headed back to post, and to the bus stop. And finished up our ice cream. Then chatted with the ladies at the bus stop. I'd left my car at Amanda's house, and told her that I'd just walk over before Soccer and pick it up. She was fine with that.

I walked my kids home after the bus, and we all worked on chores. The house looked TONS better after. But dang kids were whiny! Especially Tom. I think maybe he was having his man's time of the month or something? I don't know. Super sensitive... Anyway, they eventually got it cleaned. It was super messy from the dog.

Soon, it was clean, and electronics was opened up. Homework was done, and the neighbor kids came over to play. Joe got ready for Soccer, and the kids had leftovers for dinner. Joe and I walked over to Amanda's house around 5:15 to get the car, then drove to Soccer.

I hung with Kari for the game, and her Hubby Brian came at the end. He's a real good guy. We headed home at 6:30pm, and the kids all had free time until 8pm. I blogged during that time and finished loading my store. I'm tying up right now, and am gonna go put the little kids to bed. Gotta make sure they pick out their clothes for tomorrow. That sure helps in the morning rush...

Tomorrow, we're gonna go eat lunch with the little kids at school. We had SO much fun last week, that we're totally doing it again this week. Ha! And we have plans to take them to the movies in the evening too. Captain America, Smurfs, Harry Potter II, and Cars II are all at the $2 theater tomorrow :) Should be a good time!

Grand Illusions

Morning, peeps! I went to bed a little after 11pm last night, so I was super sleepy this morning. I had grand plans about going to Walmart during Seminary, but yeah, that SO wasn't happening. I decided to just sleep. I woke up Jake, drove on over, and totally went back to sleep. And what a good sleep it was. hehe. I was so out of it, that Jake had to wake me up when he got in the car. ROFL!

We drove back to post, got Tom off to the bus, and I got the little kids ready for the bus. And out the door we headed. I didn't have any Slim fast shakes left, so I was stuck with my Coke Zero Vanilla. Yeah SO not cutting it! hehe :)

I got the little kids on the bus, chatted with the ladies for about 10 minutes, then headed home. And because Jake had a therapy appointment at 9am, he wasn't catching the bus. So he and I got ready for the day, then headed to Walmart.

I needed a few things (including Slim Fast), so we made a very quick trip of it! It was 8:10, and we needed to be to the therapy place before 9am. We had to hurry! I grabbed the few items we needed, and paid, and we headed out.

We got to the building about 15 minutes early, so we had time to sit and eat some breakfast. Jake and I shared a peanut butter Cliff bar, and each had a slim fast. And he had an apple, and I had a HUGE nectarine. And it was SO nasty, I couldn't finish it. Maybe I'm just used to them being less ripe, and cold. I don't know, but it was gross. Jake didn't even want it.

We finished up, gathered up the trash, and headed inside. Jake met with the therapist first, and I designed about 10 freebies for November. Then it was my turn. And then the hour was up. And ff we went. I dropped Jake off at Austin, and made him go sign himself back in. And turn his signed excuse into the office. It's time he starts to learn how to do that, right? Gotta learn responsibility and independence at some point, right???

I headed back to post, and headed to Kari's house. I picked her up, then picked up Amanda. We were headed to the Boy Scout Shop today! I wanted some leader resource books, and she wanted some uniform pieces for Leo. They had older Cub Scout pants on sale for $5!!! I got some for Joe and Jim both! Can't pass that one up! Kari got a pair for Leo.

We paid and headed back to post. We dropped Kari off at home, and stayed for a few minutes to pick some tomatoes from her backyard garden. It's AMAZING back there! She's done a GRAND job with it this year!!! I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of it :)

It was almost time for the Bus. But Amanda and I decided that we wanted a soda. But I'd misplaced my ID. Luckily, I must look like a 14 year old boy, because I was able to use Jake's to get on post, but I didn't wanna chance it again, so we decided to go to the PX and get one.

And while we were there, we were given a sample of some WONDERFUL teryaki chicken from the Asian fast food place. SO tasty! And a coupon for a free soda with a meal. So, of course, we couldn't let the coupon go to waste, right? hehe. I figured that I'd bring home whatever I didn't eat to the kids. It was early release day for the kids anyway.

We ate a bit (I just ate the meat and veggies - no rice or noodles), then we headed back home. I dropped her off at home, and I went home. Tom got my left overs He was SO excited! I hung with him for a few minutes, then it was time to go to the bus. And yeah, I was LATE! I even thought I was early! Crap it!

Kari and Amanda and I stayed and visitied at the bus stop for a while and our kids played ball, then eventually made our way home. And I worked on my Cub Scouts for tonight for a bit. Did i mention that it was early release today? Kids came home at 12:30ish...

I made up a "cheat sheet" for the bobcat badge and for things that we do at flag ceremonies often. I figured it was good reminder for the kids and for the new guys :) I made it up on Photoshop and sent it to walmart to get it developed at 4x6's.
At 1:30pm, I was ready to go. I left the big kids in charge of each other, and I took Joe and Jim with me, and picked up Leo and Kari, and we headed out to Walmart. To look for Hot Wheels and a few other supplies. I'd promised the boys a race tonight if they were good. So they were gonna pick out a car.

That was the first stop. Well, once we made it past the Halloween isle. ha! That could have kept them entertained for hours. LOL. Halloween costumes and little boys are always a good time, you know :)

We went to the craft isle and got the stuff I needed to make the den flag, and the other supplies that I needed. Kari got the few items that she wanted, and we were ready to go. We paid, and headed to the truck. And JUST as we were ready to pull away from Walmart, I realized that I'd forgotten something.

THE PRINTS!!! Luckily, it wasn't that hot, so Kari volunteered to stay in the car with the kids, and I just ran back in real fast to the photo department so I could grab them. In and out in 7 minutes. So it was fast :)

We dropped Leo and Kari back off at their house and headed to our house. And I was SO excited to make me a big ole 64 oz drink of this! This is my indicator that the holidays are approaching. When the Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash hits the shelves. That's when the seasons officially start changing :) Fall is here, and Thanksgiving is RIGHT around the corner, my friends. I can fell it. AND taste it - hehe :)

And here's the flag that we rigged up. I wonder what I can do to make a base that's more sturdy?? I was thinking filling the Howdy's cup with rocks/glue????
Jim and Eme both had games tonight at 5:30pm. Only problem was that Jim's coach wanted hm there at 4:30pm for pictures. I'm not buying pictures. Are you kidding me? Those things are SO expensive! Not gonna do it. But I didn't want Jim missing from his teammates photos either.... So I showed up.

But we were rushed. We did get there at 4:30pm. And Kari was there with Josephine. And around 5:05pm, I snapped this photo when the photographer was taking the group picture.
Then I RAN back to my truck and headed back home. Kari stayed to supervize Jim and the starting of the game. I picked up Jake and Tom (in scout uniform) and Joe (in cub scout uniform) and Eme (in soccer uniform with snacks and drink for her team) and Jim. And the race track for the hot wheels. And all my supplies/materials for the den meeting. And we drove to Kari's house and got Leo (in cub scout uniform) and Justin (to drop off at his friends' house).

We drove Justin to his friends' house, then headed to the game. We were late, needless to say. Jake helped Eme carry the water bottles to her teams bench, then we joined Kari over by Jim's team.

My big boys decided to go inside and play at the Youth Center. And came back out looking all grumpy. They said they were told that they couldn't play. Oh no. That's not acceptable. Yeah, I don't know when I got so assertive. I NEVER ever used to be like this. Ever. Anyway, I left the kids on the bench, and went right in, and found out what was going on. Eventually, I had all 3 workers over talking to me, and go to the bottom of it. Apparently, there are rumors that there will be changes soon, but there are no official changes made yet. As of now, the youth center is open from 4-7pm for youth as free time. So my kids can come and play. Until I'm notified differently, my kids are welcome. Thank you very much! Take that, Main Post Youth Center. hehe.

Leo and Joe played around for the hour that the game lasted, Jim and Josephine played their game, Eme played her game, and Kari and I cheered on the teams. OK, so we sat and chatted. You caught us. hehehe. Soon, the games were over, and it was time to go home.

Or in my case, to pack up, and head to scouts :) Which is what we did. We got there about 15 minutes. Jake helped me carry in my track, and we got the room all set up. The Bears den leader didn't show tonight, so the 2 boys from that den came with me. So I had 5 boys all together. It worked out ok.

One of my wolf's has some attention issues. But he did ok. Leo and Joe seem to do pretty good, too. I think it's gonna work out great :) We all seem to get along great. We went out the bobcat stuff, and did a flag ceremony, and made a stencil, and worked on our den flag, and had a Hot Wheel race. And had a snack. All in all, it was a pretty good meeting! And it was only an hour long! See how much you can get done in an hour! Woohoo!

After the meeting, I gathered up the rest of my kids, and we headed home. I was wiped out! We got home around 8:30pm. After dropping Leo off at his house, my kids were tired too. They all grabbed a bowl of cereal, then bed time routines started.

I started blogging, and here it is, about an hour later. It's now 10pm. And I'm SUPER sleepy. I didn't even turn on prison break. That's how tired I was. I just wanted to get this blog post done and over with. Without distractions.

Oh yeah, I can't remember if I took my meds today. Is that gonna majorly mess me up, if I miss a daily dosing??? What's it gonna do to me??? My day was all jacked up today! hehe.

Tomorrow Joe and Leo have soccer games, and Kari and I may go see that new movie called "contagion". It's one I've REALLY been wanting to see. Sounded really good, and got great reviews. And it reminds me of a natural disaster movie where everyone dies. ROFL! You know how I love those - hehe :)

Dog Day Afternoon

Hey there peeps! Welcome to the new day :) Well, for me, it's the end of the day - ha! The end of Tuesday, anyway. By the time you're reading this, it should be Wednesday, right?

I woke up a few minutes before my alarm this morning and got ready for seminary. Jake and I were on the road and on our away right on time. And Captain America Skyped me when I got to Seminary, and I got to chat with my man!!! It was a great morning :)

We chatted up until the time that Jake came out, then headed home. We had a few minutes before Tom got on the bus, then I got the little kids ready for the bus. I went into the little kids room, and the smell of dog urine was SO overwhelming that I started gagging. GROOOOSSSSS!!! I yelled at them to wake up, grab their stuff, and run out of the room, all while dry heaving. They were worried about me, so they did what I said real fast. I hurried for the door.

Yeah, we didn't go back in there the rest of the morning. We were gonna have a serious date with the steam cleaner later in the day. A SERIOUS date. SO not funny!

Anyway, the kids got ready, and we headed to the bus stop. The kids left for school, and the moms and I chatted for bit. Jake left for school, and I headed back to the house. I took a quick shower, and it was time to head to the West side for my therapy appointment.

Traffic was bad, and I was a few minutes late. Here's me waiting for my appointment. Check out my hot pink coolness! And my crazy tall socks! To hide to hairy legs! ha!

No make up today because the girls and I were going for 2 for 1 facials at 10 am :) Happy day!
My therapist was running a bit late, and failed to inform me that he'd moved his office. At least it wasn't far. Just down the street and around the corner. It was easy to find. All in all, we were about 20 minutes off schedule.

It was a good session. We talked about how my Topomax is starting to work. How it lessens the Prozac in good ways, and how it's letting my natural emotions come through in positive ways. And how it's letting the good aspects of the prozac still work. I'm pleased with it so far.

We tied up the session at around 9:30am, and I headed back to post. But not before I stopped and snapped a picture of the UPS drop box! Ha! hehe :)
I swung by post, and picked up Rebecca (our new friend from the bus stop) and Kari. And we headed off to the TriState Cosmetology School. Terra met us there. And off to the facials we went!

We filled out paperwork, then changed into our 1/2 robe things, and off we went to our relaxing facials!
The ladies who did mine were great! The one chickie was teaching the other one how to do it, so not only did I get a great facial, but I got a blow by blow explanation of what was going on. ha! It took about 2 hours total. Scrubs and massages and rinses and such. She was pretty good and thorough. I liked it :)

After we were all done, Rebecca and Terra headed home, and I got my legs waxed. See the hair? Yeah, I wanted it gone before the pedicure!!! hehe :)

And it took a LOT longer than I thought it was gonna take. My lady was SUPER fun, but super slow. SUPER slow. Poor thing. Finally, the instructor came over to help. And it went a lot faster. And they did my lip that they forgot to do last week. But since they'd just did the facial, they had to use hard wax, or something like that. Oh yeah. That hurt! hehe :)

FINALLY, I was done. I headed back up to the front and paid. Kari and I got ready for our 2 for 1 pedicures, and the laid informed us that they weren't having that special. What??? So we decided to go home. Hmpf! Fine! I guess we didn't need one, then :(

We headed home, and I dropped Kari off at her house. I was starving, so I got some lunch for myself. There was still 1 1/2 chickens left, so I picked them, and made myself a chicken salad sandwich!

See, they got MOST of the hair.

After lunch, I watched an episode of Prison Break, and decided to clean the floor boards on the little boys room. Maybe THATS part of what stinks? Couldn't hurt, right? But I needed some precautions.... This should help, right?
I went in and scrubbed for a bit, then Amanda texted me and wanted to know if I wanted to go for Happy Hour. Oh yeah. That's JUST what I needed! Sounded great!!! So I packed up, and off we went!

Here's our buddy, Bob the bum! With the belly and the crutches!
Awww, me and the Rt 44, Diet Dr Pepper, Easy Ice!
We headed back to post, and headed to the bus stop. Crystal was just getting there, so we went to chat. Veronica got there a few minutes later, and all of our friends slowly trickled in. I love our bus routine :)

I gathered up my kids, and we headed home. We all grabbed our stuff, and we headed to the library. Today's movie was the first Harry Potter movie! I was SO surprised that my younger boys LOVED it. I new that the older kids liked it, but I didn't know that the little kids liked it too? It worked out, though :)

I'd brought my laptop and Amanda had brought her memory card for her camera. We were editing pictures of Justin for Kari. We got 6 really good ones done, then I started designing some freebies for November. I got 10 done, and then it was time to go. We had almost finished Harry Potter, but not quite. It's a super long movie you know. ha!

We headed home, and I started on dinner. I made a chicken and stuffing casserole of sorts. I took 1 boxes of stuffing, 1 can of chicken broth, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, a bunch of chopped up chicken, and some frozen veggies. And baked it at 350 until the veggies were done. It smelled SO yummy!

The kids ate mostly the chicken/stuffing part, and I took mostly the veggie part. It was pretty tasty :)

After dinner, Joe vaccumed the bedroom REALLY good, and I steam cleaned it with him. Then the kids had about 45 minutes of free time before bedtime. At 8pm, I put the little boys to bed, got the big kids to bed, and then Kari and I went on a 4 mile walk. Here's me before our walk.
After the walk, I came back home, had some fruit and raisins as a snack, and blogged and watched Prison Break. And now I'm sleepy. Jake did come out of his room at one point. And I knew he was still asleep. Because he wasn't making any sense. But he looked awake. He was ranting about needing to find a netflix movie for boxer. Um, ok. And then got mad at me for not taking him serious. hehe. Then got mad and stormed away and said I didn't care about him. hehe. He's just like his daddy when he sleep talks. ROFL!

Tomorrow, the kids have only a 1\2 day of school. Sigh. I mean, yeah for them. hehe.

Great one, Sharon! Looks fantastic! I love it :)
