I Fought The Law

Yeah, I TOTALLY forgot about working yesterday.... Oops :) Can I play the "I was sick" card? I DID puke, you know... Anyway, HERE"s my new stuff for the week!












Oh yeah, NOT a peaceful sleep last night... I finally went to bed at 1am, and fell instantly asleep. Only to wake up at 4:30am, and NOT be able to go back to sleep. You know, my little deal with myself, about not playing on electronics or reading or doing something enjoyable when I can't sleep at night. Yeah, after 30 minutes of tossing and turning, I got up, and cleaned for an hour. The kitchen looked pretty good when I was done. And then I was tired.

And went back to sleep for an hour and a half, then had to get up to take Eme to Volleyball camp. And I was dragging. SO sleepy... I totally went in my jammies, again...
I came back home, and Joe and Jim were awake. I got them breakfast, turned on some TV, and crawled back into bed. And JUST as I was about to drift off to sleep, I realized that it was Friday. Which meant that yesterday was Thursday. My "load the store with new products" day. And yeah, I totally hadn't. Crap! I checked the Designers Thread at SBG, and it was still open, luckily! I grabbed my laptop, came out with the kids, and proceeded to package and load my store. And got it done in about an hour. But by then, there was no sleeping for me...

I decided against free lunch, and instead to go to lunch with Terra and Eryn and Avery at L&J's. I left Tom in charge, arranged for Charlotte to pick up Eme from Volleyball and drop her off at the house, and I left with Terra and the girls for lunch.

First stop, Post Office to mail Captain America his package. And the lady at the counter had the COOLEST nails. I totally tried to sneakily take her pic, but the darn flash went off. hehe. I was like, "Sorry, but you're nails are AWESOME!". LOL!
And off we went to L&J's. And as we drove by the airport, we saw this HUGE plane. Fat thing. Sure, it doesn't look so strange in the picture, but in real life, it was disproportionate... We thought it was cool. It caught ALL of our attentions...
We got to L&J's, and there was a wait. So we got the beeper (that looked like a taser), and waited. And played on our phones. And chatted. And waited. And finally got our seats. And yeah, I've picked up a few lbs as of late... My diet hasn't been too successful. Anyway, I had on my full body girdle, and it was squeezing me. And I couldn't hardly breathe. And felt almost sick. Not the best for eating out. Or maybe it is. hehe. I didn't really feel hungry...

We play FourSquare, and sometimes at check-ins, you get bonuses. And for Terra's 5th check in at L&J's, we got FREE chips and queso. Cool, huh???
We all ordered, got our food, and there wasn't space on the table for all of it - hehe. Yummy!
My salad. I ended up eating 1/2 of it, no shell, and brought the rest home as my "babysitter bonus".
Terra let me bring her leftovers home for Tom, too. Chicken Tacos. And I brought home the chips and queso. My kids were gonna be excited!
I think we all must have been a bit tired. We were very low keyed and relaxed at lunch. I was SUPER full super fast. Yeah, full body girdle at work... I couldn't wait to get home and take it off!

We paid, and headed out. And drove over to the Cielo Vista mall. The girls wanted to look around. We were there for about 30 minutes, then headed home. I SO needed a nap. Here's me with my Howdys water.


We made plans to meet back at the pool at 3pm. And I had time for an hour and a half nap. But I didn't get one.... And that made me kinda grouchy... I got home, gave the kids the food, and laid down for my nap. About 1:30, i think. And then Jake woke up... And was grouchy. And tried to take over the Wii, and was being SUPER rude to all the kids. I tried to ignore it as long as I could. But I seriously wanted to go and yell at him. Or worse... PMS, you know...

Anyway, I decided to bump up my pool schedule. And drop Jake off at the youth center. For all of our sanitys! We got into swim gear, loaded up in the truck, and drove on over to the youth center. And dropped Jake off. He didn't need picked up until 9pm. Sa-weet!

We headed to the pool, and met Amanda there. And Terra. And Kari. And Becky. And Paige and Lynette came later. And we made a new friend named Tara. She had 4 kids, and seemed super nice.

We stayed from 2 ish until 5 something. And had SO much fun. I got in the water a few times, and had a ball chatting with all my different friends.

Check this out. We were under the sunshade, and looking one direction, perfect blue sky...
And the other direction, Thunder Storm! It looked like it was gonna cut loose. Lightening flashed a few times, and the pool was temporarily closed. That was our cue to go home :)

We got home, had dinner, and relaxed for the evening. I watched some 24, and finished off season 4. Kids cleaned their rooms, and had electronics free time. At 7pm, I got a call from Jake saying that the Youth Center was closing early because there wasn't enough kids there. Crap. So I loaded up in the truck in my jammies, and headed to pick him up. LOL.

We got home, kids finished rooms, I took a nice, relaxing bath, and we watched a movie together. I designed a few wordart packs, and then proceeded to make this layout. hehe. Funny, huh?
I put the little kids to bed, and Jake and Tom and I started a movie. And I started blogging. And I think my head is starting to hurt again. I'm not liking this... Maybe it's just lack of sleep. I really didn't get a lot of sleep last night. No one wake me up tomorrow, I'm sleeping in, ok?

July Calendar

Well, I woke up again this morning with a headache. Not as bad as the day before, but still, it was hurting. Joe woke up early and was hacking and coughing, and came and slept on my couch for a few hours before we all got up, too. I got up at 7:30am, and got Eme to Volleyball camp.

I totally went in my jammies. And PT sweats. hehe.

I came back home, and slept for a little while. My head was still hurting. I took some meds, and decided that I didn't have time to be sick or to have a headache. I had stuff to do. I could either sit home and hurt, or be out and about sick. So Jim and I packed up, and headed to the commissary. I needed some cash, and some groceries.

The new Commissary on Ft Bliss opened yesterday. And apparently there were crazy long lines JUST to get in. And I needed food yesterday, but SO wasn't gonna wait in long lines outside. I hoped that today wouldn't be as bad.

We got to the parking lot, and there were a TON of vendors outside. Tents and food and all sorts of stuff. Jim LOVED the race car!

It ad a video game inside, and spaces for 2 kids to play. Cool, huh?

We wandered around a bit, looking for the entrance. So many vendors outside! I found the ATM and got out some cash (Tom kept reminding me that I owed him babysitting $$$ for June. hehe), had to wait in line to get a cart, got a free ticket to the drawing, and started shopping. We LOVED this watermelon display. The top part of the tank spun around. And the watermelons were only $1.99 a piece!

I wanted Jimmy to get his picture taken with Mustard Man, but he didn't want to. So I took my picture with mustard man instead... hehe.
I found all sorts of deals there. Yoplait yogurt for $0.30 a container, corn for $0.15 an ear, chicken nuggets for $3.99 a big bag, chicken breasts for $1.19 a lb, Johnsonville Brawts for $1.99 a package, just to name a few. We were there for about an hour, fighting our way through the crowds, then paid, and headed home.

I had the kids help me carry in groceries, put them away, and we got ready for the pool and free lunch. I wanted Jake to get up and go with us, then go to the Youth Center. We needed a bit of "space"... We like each other better if we're not all cooped up together all the time. hehe.

Anyway, he did NOT wanna get up. And fought me every step of the way. The rudeness was never ending, it seemed. At one point, he couldn't find his flip flops. And that was my fault, apparently. Then, he couldn't find socks to wear with his tennis shoes. So he literally TORE apart his room looking for them. Finally found them, then blamed me for making him mess up his room. Sigh...

Anyway, we got to free lunch, a bit late, but we still got there. Chili and cornbread and broccoli/califlour (or white broccoli, as Jim calls it - raw), and strawberries and milk. Kids ate, and we headed to the pool. We stopped and picked up Eme from Volleyball camp, then on to the pool. And met Amanda and Kari there. Terra was there too, and our new friend, Liz.




We were at the pool from about 1230-300. And had a lot of fun. Playing on the slide, eating snacks, chatting with the girls, having a grand old time. Liz has a boy the same exactly age as Tom, and the two of them got along GREAT! Jake even had fun. Sure, he was annoying the other kids, but I know he was enjoying himself a little bit.

My head was really starting to hurt at the pool, so Kari (trained massage therapist) came over and rubbed my neck a bit. OMHeavens, she's good. And after 15 minutes, my head felt TONS better. I'm gonna have to work out a trade with Kari. I have WAY too many knots...

We headed out at 3pm, and I dropped Jake off at the youth center. He was warming up to the idea of going there. Thank goodness! I needed a break. LOL.

The rest of us got home, and started on chores. We turned on a Glee soundtrack, and started cleaning/dancing/singing. hehe. The kids did their chores, and I rearranged the living room. And re-hung pictures. And swept under furniture. I can't believe the amount of STUFF that was under there. Sigh. Messy kids! Hopefully once they go back to school, the house will stay cleaner!



Terra dropped off her extra chili, and I re-heated it for dinner. And I helped Eme make chocolate chip cookies. Then I took a nice little nap. I woke up, finally changed out of my swim clothes (hehe), and Amanda and I went to Walmart around 7pm. I was sick and tired of kids snitching food out of the fridge/freezer, and wanted to get a baby lock. Besides, night time Walmart runs are ALWAYS fun with friends!

We found these in the dog isle. Really???

I bought some training bells to hang on the backdoor, so that we know when Boxer needs to go out. Any tricks on getting him to use it???

We found these in the toy department. SUPER tiny Disney's Cars stuff. Cute, huh? My kids would TOTALLY lose it within 10 minutes. hehe.

Amanda wanted a grilling thingy for Ribs (well, her hubby did), but we couldn't find what she was looking for. But did find these in the garden section. LOL!

We looked at the baby section, but the baby locks aren't designed for older kids. Jim could totally figure out the "lock". So we went to hardware, and found a combination bike lock. That might work. And I found a keyed lock that would be PERFECT, and was on sale. I got both, and decided that I'd keep the one that worked better.

And we went to the quick check out to pay, and I snagged a Diet Mt Dew. Hello, soda! hehe. Then we loaded up, and headed back to post. Singing loudly to Glee songs the whole way home.
We stopped by the Youth Center and picked up Jake, then tried to stop by the PX, but it was closed, and headed home. It was a little after 9pm. The on-sale bike lock worked PERFECTLY. Here's Jim when he discovered it!
No more popsicle thieving at my house! hehe. I'm gonna have to lock all the good stuff in here, and keep all the "non-tempting" stuff in the unlocked fridge. Like milk and veggies and junk.

Tom got the little kids to bed, and I told Jake and Tom that if they had the house cleaned before I got back from my evening walk, that we'd watch a movie together. I changed, and headed out. Kari met me at the park, and we started walking.

And about 15 minutes into the walk, I started feeling really bad. I tried to push past it, but eventually it got SO bad that I had to tell Kari. I was feeling like I was gonna puke.

And before we got to the end of the trail, I had to turn back. She was very nice, and came with me, and stopped when I needed to stop to rest. But I felt bad that I messed up her walk. But I was hurting. We weren't even walking that fast, and I was sweating SO much. The whole back of my shirt was drenched. I was trying SO hard not to barf all over the place.

After what seemed like HOURS, we were back at my house, and I instantly went to the bathroom. And puked a few times, and felt mildly better. Jake and Tom had gotten the kitchen and living room cleaned, and it looked pretty good! I grabbed my laptop, and the boys helped me to the couch with a pillow and blanket. Jake and Tom and I watched a movie, and I blogged. I feel a tad bit better, but no sudden movements for me...

No definite plans for Friday yet. Hopefully I'll feel better when I wake up in the morning. No more puking for me!! We made plans to go to the Fireworks on post on Sunday with our friends. That should be a lot of fun :)

For What It's Worth

Hey, guys! Blogger won’t let me on tonight. Well, it let me do a little, then it freaked out. Sigh. Guess I should have blogged earlier, right? Procrastination sometimes comes back to get ya! Hehe.

Anyway, I woke up at 6:30am with a SPLITTING headache. I popped an Imitrex, and went back to bed until 7:40am. Nope, didn’t touch it. I got up, got Eme ready in 5 minutes, and drove her up to Volleyball camp. And took some more meds when I got home (after eating a protein bar – no meds on an empty stomach, you know!). And laid down for a while longer.

And my head hurt SO bad. I think it’s hormonal. Before “that time”, I get headaches more frequently. Anyway, by 10am, I was feeling a lot better. But no yoga for me. Sorry, Kari! I was looking forward to going, too ;(

I texted Charlotte, and asked if she could get Eme while she picked up Maddie. She said yes. Thanks, my dear! I was feeling a tad better, so I worked on my closet and laundry man. He was getting in my way last night. I pulled out ALL the clothes that were winter-ish, and put them on top of my closet. Then I boxed up all the clothes that must have shrunk. Because they fit before Captain America deployed… That’s the only thing I can think of. They MUST have shrunk… ROFL!

Anyway, I hung up all the stuff that still fit that’s been piling up on my bed, and put away the rest of the stuff too. My bed is mine again. Ha! And the closet looks a TON better. Kids had lunch, I had lunch, Eme came home at 12 something. At 1pm, since I was feeling a bit better, I went with Terra to take Krista to a doctors appointment. We went to Sonic first, then headed on over. I was along for the ride. Hehe. Avery and Eryn were babysitting Kendra at home.

While I was with Terra, CPS called to say that my case was being dismissed, and that after a quick questionnaire, I’d be officially done. Thank goodness!

I was hoping that my headache had gone away, but it hadn’t. My meds started to wear off, and I was feeling awful by the time Terra dropped me off at home. I took a round 2 of meds, and laid down for a bit. The kids were driving me NUTS. Jake was being annoying, little kids were fighting and being EXTREMELY messy. And I felt like I was gonna puke. Sigh.

Eventually, Jake and Tom decided to ride their bikes to the library. Thank goodness! Tom was gonna sit in the compfy chair and read, and Jake was looking for a Star Wars book. Sounded like a plan to me.

After about 15 minutes, I got a text from Jake saying that Tom had passed out once they got to the library once they were locking their bikes up, and that he fell and scrapped his face. OH NO! The little kids were in the pool, so I had them jump out real fast, grab towels, load in the truck, and we were off to the library. Wet kids and all!

Tom and Jake were sitting in the lobby of the library, reading. Tom had a little scratch on his face, but looked a bit dehydrated. I helped him to the car, and Jake grabbed his bike and helped load it up in the truck. Jake stayed to look for his book, and I took Tom home. He got some water, and rested on the couch, and felt SO much better. Poor child!

I felt SO sick all the way home. I was trying not to puke. My head was still hurting. I got back home, and laid down. And after about an hour, I felt a LOT better. I was able to get up and cook dinner and do a few things.

I decided to use my hair color and fix my gray. I bought a lighter brown than normal for me, so we’ll see how it turns out! I applied all the color, and waited for the right amount of time.

Amanda got home from New Mexico around 7pm, and she came over to show me her new phone! It was pretty cool. I can’t remember what it’s called, though. Some fancy schmancy name. hehe. We chatted for a bit, and the boys played. I looked spiffy with the hair color still in my hair. Hehe.

She headed home, and I hopped in the shower to get the hair color out. And shower. Ha! Gotta do that every once in a while, too, right? I blow dried my hair, and I don’t know that it looks any different than it did before. Less gray, but same color. Hmpf! Oh well…

Must have got some color on my hands. Oops! That's gonna take a while to wear off, right? ha!

I told Jake and Tom that if they put the little boys to bed, and read them library book bedtime stories, that I’d let them watch a movie together. They agreed. Thank goodness! I sat down to blog, and blogger wasn’t working. Crap.

I watched a few episodes of 24 on and off all day long today. LOVE that show J It’s now almost 11 pm. And I may watch one more episode. Or I might just go to bed. I’m definitely taking another round of meds. My head is starting to hurt again. Poor head!

Tomorrow, Eme has Volleyball camp at 8am, and we’re taking kids to free lunch at main post CDC at 11:30, picking eme up at noon, and pool after that. Hopefully Kari comes too! Then we’d have Kari and me and Amanda and Terra. Fun times with my girls!!!
