Baking Some Smiles

Hey there girls :) How was your Sunday? Mine was very relaxing.

We slept in again, and woke up in time for Conference. During the first session, I got a text from my friend, Aimee. She's prego with baby #5, and is having a hard pregnancy. She was feeling super sick, her husband was gone for the day, and she needed some help. I spent most of the first session texting church people, trying to find someone to go and help her.

We had lunch after the first session, hung out, and watched the second session. After that, we started on dinner, and even made a cake for dessert. We had a TON of over ripe bananas, and I made a chocolate banana cake. The middle didn't cook, but the outside part was DIVINE!

4 Bananas
1 white cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup water
1/2 bag chocolate chips.

I baked it for 55 minutes on 350 in a round cake pan. And yeah, it was still gooey in the middle. I just scooped out the middle, put it in a much smaller pan, and put that part back in the oven. And we ate the outside ring. Mmmmm, tasty! And yes, I even had a slice of it!

It's now almost 7pm, and I need to get the kids thinking about baths and bed. We're watching Van Helsing together. I'd forgotten how much I like Hugh Jackman :) hehe.

Oh, I hate it when I do that! Bake a cake and it doesn't finish in the middle. Glad you were able to save it. :)
Thanks for the word art, the boys love to help me bake, so it will go to good use! ;)

That cake sounds yummy -- I made cookies the other night that didn't back in the middle --come one how hard is it to underbake a cookie--it's just the way things work around my house lately.
Cute WA too, will go well with pics of the kids making all kids of holiday cookies and birthday cakes.
