You've Really Got Me

Hey there girls :) I'm blogging from a foreign computer. OK, so not really foreign computer, but not my own. It's Tom's. Because mine is locked in my room. Long story. I'll get to that. hehe.

I woke up at 6 something this morning, and couldn't go back to sleep. So I was online till around 7am, and then I went out to see why the house was so quiet. Jake and Jim were still asleep, and I found this on the couch. Joe's cute, huh? hehe.

We spent the morning cleaning and organizing, and getting ready for our pool party. And drinking water. Because I have to start early if I'm gonna get my 100 oz in... lol.
At one point, Boxer jumped the fence again, and wandered off. I woke up Jake, and had him walk the block looking for him. And they came home and slept on the couch for a bit. Aren't they cute :)

I cleaned the backyard, and Jake helped me rake it and get it nicer looking. We filled up the baby pool, and got the coolers ready for the Popsicles. Jake earned pool privileges back by doing Eme and Tom's chores, and by helping clean the backyard. So the house looked decent when my friends got here :)

The kids had a TON of fun in the pool, and eating Popsicles. Amanda and Austin, Kari and Leo and Josephine, and Terra, Eryn, and the twins were there. And Jake and Joe and Jim. Great group of friends!

Around lunchtime, Terra drove and got some Little Cesars pizzas, and the kids got out for pool break. It was funny, because we had Amanda blow the "whistle", and everyone piled out, just like at the real pool. hehe. And the grown ups got in for about 15 minutes while the kids ate. Then we opened the pool back up to the kids again.
The twins in the little pool.

I made sure to put a TON of sunblock on myself and the kids today. No burns for us!!! The kids played, and the mom's chatted, and around 1:30pm, the party broke up, and people started heading home. We cleaned up, changed, and I let the kids watch a movie.

And I started watching a bit of 24, but yea, TOTALLY fell asleep. And the nap felt super good. I woke up, got some dinner for the kids, played in the pool with them for a bit longer, hopped out, and showered and got ready for Girls Night Out.

I told Jake that I would pay him $5 to babysit for Joe and Jim tonight. Because he just needed to play with them until 8pm, then put them in their room with a movie, and they would go to sleep. Then he could watch TV until I got home. Sounded like a plan. And he'd been in a great mood all day, so it should work. 2 kids isn't too bad to babysit.

I headed out around 6:15pm, and headed to the Northeast Side.
The party was a Kristals house (primary president), and there were SO many girls that came! Over 20, at least! We all just chatted and ate and had a great time! Well, I chatted, but didn't eat. Weigh in is tomorrow, and I'd already eaten my dinner, and I didn't wanna blow it all the night before weigh in, you know. So I had a few DDP's, and called it good.

I chatted with Charlotte for a bit, and Lesa for a bit, and Tammy, and chit chatted and had a grand time.

I didn't eat these, but SO wanted to. hehe.

At 8:40, I bid my friends farewell, and headed out for the movies. I was meeting Kari and Amanda at the cheap movie theater to see Water for Elephants at 9:05. And I had a great time driving and singing all the way across town :)
I got to Skype in the car with Tom for a few minutes in the parking lot of the Movie Theater. He said that he got to go horseback riding, and was having fun with his friends. Sounded really happy and positive, and like he was having a blast. Yeah Tom!!!

I got the to the movies JUST as it was starting. Apparently I should have left Kristals house sooner. hehe. Oh well, It's all good. I found my friends, and watched the movie. It was FANTASTIC. I loved it. The fact that "Edward" was the main character was good, too. He's hot. LOL.

After the movie, we stood outside and chatted for a good 30 minutes, then all headed back to our homes. My kids were all in bed when I got home, and Jake had taken the trash out for Tom. Awe, what a good brother! Thanks, Jake!

I checked on Joe and Jim, and found them sound asleep.

Happy to be home at last.

And then I tried to go to my room, and the door was locked. Crap. Jake must have realized that I left it unlocked, and helped me out by locking it. Only problem is, the key is in there.... And yeah, so is my laptop, my clothes, my bed, my meds, my contact case....

So I grabbed Tom's little laptop that was hooked up to the TV, and started to blog. Luckily, I'd emailed Sharon the wordart freebie, so I had a copy of that. And all my pics are on facebook, so that was easy enough. I think I'm gonna just sleep on the couch, and figure out how to break into my room tomorrow. It's now 12:50am...

Any suggestions, you guys? It's a keyed door knob that I bought at Lowes. Not the regular inside house door knobs.... Maybe the window is unlocked, and a kid can crawl through and unlock it for me. But that's a job for tomorrow, me thinks. I really need to get that other key, and keep it somewhere NOT in my room....

Click on the link below to go to my account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work. Thanks!

Awe, poor Eme's arm :( Great layout, Sharon :)

well at least the door being locked isn't for a bad reason. Jake was only trying to help this time. Hope you get back into your room soon. Glad your day went well, I was wondering, since the different computer issue.

Try using a credit card (or any plastic card) to open the door. You just slide it in the crevice between the door and the door jamb right about where the door latch is located. You might have to try more than once and you might have to jiggle it around a little bit. I've actually broken into my own house when I've been locked out by doing this (thankfully the dead bolt wasn't locked!).
