Life is Beautiful

Well, I must say, I got a GREAT nights sleep last night. And yes, the Niquil helped. hehe. I woke up a few times in the morning, but finally got out of bed at 8:30am. The kids were all playing nicely and left me alone to sleep in. Thank goodness! hehe.

We had breakfast, and luckily, the house was mostly clean. I had Jake help me find the Halloween decorations in the garage, and we went through them, and put up what we had. The house looked pretty good! Here's Jake and I taking a break on the couch.

So, since I'd had dreams last night about being SUPER dirty, I decided to take a shower. ROFL! It felt SO good. hehe. And got ready for the day. And decided to take Jake to the Dollar Tree to get some "Pirate Party" decorations. And to swing by the PX for a stop at Game Stop. He'd earned a little bit of money, and wanted a game :)

Anyway, the kids were all taken care of, so Jake and I took the truck and headed to the Dollar Tree. But swung by Goodwill to donate those bags of clothes first. Thank goodness! It felt good to get rid of them.

So to the Dollar Tree, and we found a bunch of good stuff. It's gonna be a fun party on Monday, I think! We paid, and headed to the PX. Jake went to Game Stop, and I went to the food court to pick up some Burritos for lunch. I ordered a big soda, and 14 Beef Cheesey Nasties. OK, so they're really called Beefy 5 Layer Burritos. hehe. Because we have a BUTTLOAD of people at home. So the lady asks "Is this for here or to go?" Seriously? I'm gonna sit with me soda and eat 14 beefy cheesey nasties? I think not! hehe.

I met Jake at Game Stop, and he found the game he wanted. But it was rated M. He gave me some crap about turning down the violence and language, or something like that. But his therapist had said absolutely NO rated M games without her approval. So, of course, I was taking away all the fun. Really, he just wanted a game that was $8 or under. And he could only find that one M game.

Lucikly, there was a bin of under $20 games, and a ton were in his price range. And rated T. And he found one that he liked, and got it for under $8. Battlefield, Bad Company, or something like that. He seemed excited :)

We paid, and headed back home. With my 50 lbs of burritos. Seriously, that bag was HEAVY! We got home, and EVERYONE was so excited for the burritos. You'd have thought I was giving away bricks of gold. hehe. I know how to make a house full of boys happy!

Oh yeah, you like my glitter skull shirt? The glitter was falling off on EVERYTHING today - hehe
We ate, then Jake helped me put up the Halloween/Pirate decorations. The house looked pretty good when we were done!

We decided that it would be fun to go to the movies today. Transformers 3 was at the $2 theater at 2:10, and that was in my price range. I asked Kari if Leo could go with us too, and she said that she was going to the Rodeo at 1:30, and to ask if any of the kids wanted to go with her. So we split the kids up. I took Jake and Leo and Tom, and she got Josephine and Jim and Joe and Eme. Amanda and Austin were coming to the movies with us too. So we all headed out for our day.

Jake and Tom were fighting SO bad all the way to the movies.... Sigh. I was starting to re-think the trip... This was supposed to be relaxing, not stressful. We got there, went inside, got tickets, and popcorn. I got 2 big sodas and a large popcorn, and so did Amanda. She and I got our own sodas, and the 2 sets of boys had to share sodas.

We'd brought popcorn containers to split up the big tubs of popcorn, and there was enough for everyone to get as much as they wanted. And we started watching the movie. Yeah, it just went on and on and on and on... hehe. Who knew that the movie lasted for 2 and 1/2 hours!!! It was mildly entertaining. Mildly. Toward the end, I just wished it would get over...

Finally, it did. We all headed back home. I dropped Jake off at the Youth Center, then dropped Amanda and Austin off. Then picked up Jim and Eme from Kari's house and dropped Leo off (Joe stayed to play longer), and headed home. Tom watched the kids, and I headed out to Scrapbooking class. It was for the "waiting families" program.

I got there a good hour and a half late, but I was there. And I didn't know anyone there. Sigh. And they all seemed to know each other. And typically, I would have tried to find someone fun to chat with, but I was feeling a bit down. I think it's because my period is getting ready to come, and I feel a bit melancholy a day or two before... Anyway, I took my computer, and retreated to a table in the back.

I actually got a lot designed, too. Parts of about 8 different WordArt packs. Not too bad for a few hours worth of work. Around 8pm, I packed up, and headed to pick up Jake from the youth center. He'd really enjoyed his game, and said that he'd had a great day. Good!

We got home, and I got the kids all ready for bed. They seemed pretty tired and worn out. Jake took Boxer on a walk, and I sat down to blog. It's now 9pm. Everyone is in bed. I'm gonna watch some TV, then go to sleep. I'm feeling somewhat better.

But a bit down, like I said. I know it's all hormones. It's not a "real" down. And I'm sure I"ll feel better tomorrow :)
