Exercise

Busy, busy, busy day :) Got up at 6:45am, read scriptures, said prayers, got kids ready and fed and dressed and out the door at 7:30am. And then I hurried and got changed and ready for the pool. I was meeting Kari there after kids got on the bus.

And I'm SO excited for when I get to wear contacts again! Because I can't see a thing at the pool. ROFL! Good thing I don't have to share a lane with anyone, because I'd TOTALLY run into them - hehe.

I swam 16 whole laps, 32 1/2 laps, 1 mile. Yes! The water was FREEZING today. You know it's bad when the lifeguard has on a coat and scarf - hehe. OK, so it really wasn't that cold, but it was colder than usual :) And they really were wearing a winter coat and a scarf, but I think she'd just got there...

I got home at a little before 9am, and jumped in the shower. Not shopped in the shower - hehe. I guess I had a creative typo the other night :) And got all ready and pretty for the day :)

Yeah, I still had to wear my glasses, I just took them off for the picture - lol :)
Another of my "15 skirts" from Savers that one day - ha!
And I headed out to my therapy appointment. And chatted with my mom on the way over. It was a good session. We talked about my "food" issues, and why the cookie dough keeps calling me - hehe. And we talked about some good strategies to make the cookie dough less tempting. Because will power is one strategy, but shouldn't be the only one. So we talked about SEVERAL others to put in place when I feel my resolve slipping.

Now, I'm not talking about eating an extra helping at dinner. Or a cookie or a scoop of ice cream. Because that's normal stuff. I'm talking about sitting down with a tub of cookie dough, then downing a HUGE bowl of cereal, and eating whatever else is on hand, just to eat it. Late at night. Cause that's not good. Not good at all.

I ate the cookie dough last night, needless to say. And I'm not planning on doing it tonight. I felt hungry after the little kids went to bed, and had had a PERFECT food day, so I ate an extra bag of lite popcorn. And some diet jello's. And, if I still feel super hunger after Jake and Tom go to bed, I'll make some hot herbal tea. Or turn off the TV and go in my room. Or clean something. Or say a prayer. Or do something that will distract my thought from the proverbial cookie dough.

Anyway, I got off track. hehe. So that's what we talked about at my counseling session. And I headed off to Dollar Tree. I wanted to see if ANY of the Dollar Tree's had bread. Well, this one did. Just not the bread that I wanted. But I still got a loaf. Natures Own, but not the lite stuff. Still, it's good bread :)

I got some kites for the kids, and a few popcorn bowls, and a few other things that looked interesting, and headed home. And made it there in time to have lunch at home with Jake. And we watched a few episodes of Persons Unknown. Thankfully, he'd put Jimmy on the bus for me while I was at my appointment.

I designed for quite a while today while I watched TV. I think I got 4 WordArt packs done. Yeah me! And then it was time to pick up Jimmy from the bus.

And I designed a little bit more, and soon it was time for the library. 3:30 on Tuesdays, we go to the on post library and have snack and watch an educational movie. Anyway, I got the kids all loaded up in the truck, drove to the bus stop, picked up Tom and Eme and Joe, and off we go! And, since we have the kennel now, it's SO much easier to leave Boxer at home. So Jake came too.

The movie was about Frogs and Toads. And was SUPER short. The kids had Capri Suns and popcorn and cookies. I'd totally cooked the rest of the cookie dough up before the library, and had 2 dozen cookies to bring to share with the kids, and yeah, instead of setting the timer for 10 minutes, I set it for 20 minutes, so I had some burnt cookies. That I didn't bring. But I sure SMELLED like burnt cookies - hehe. Maybe next week. If I DARE make cookies again, after my cookie dough fiasco...

We got home at 4:30pm, and the kids did chores, homework, then played with their friends. I folded about 6 loaded of laundry, and helped with chores, then decided that I was WAY too tired to make Haystacks for dinner like I was supposed to. So I made leftovers :)

Grilled Spaghetti and Cheese sandwiches. And 4 of the 5 kids LOVED them, so I count that as a success!

Leo had come over after the library to play, and the neighbor kid Noah was in and out for a while, and I felt like there were 20 kids in here. hehe. Probably because 1/2 of them were on skates. Anyway, at 6pm, they all went home, and it was just us for a while :)

After dinner, Eme and I re-cleaned the living room, and then played Just Dance for about 30-45 minutes. A little longer than we'd planned, because I kept wanting to play "just one more" song. hehe.

At 8pm, I put the little kids to bed, and snuggled with them for a few minutes, then watched and episode of Chuck with the big kids. It's a little before 9:30pm, and I'm done blogging. And desiging. And I think I'm gonna get some hot herbal tea, Elmo (the name of my big, red, fluffy blanket - what? Don't you name things???), and lay on the couch for a while. And watch some TV. And not eat a bunch of food that I don't need :)

hehe, too funny! Thanks, Sharon! LOVIN' it!!!

I love the photo of you in your new pink skirt. You look so pretty and you certainly are stylin. :)

I eat M&M's every night. They are my downfall. I know that I eat too many and I know I should not be eating all of the sugar and fat but I do it anyway. Thing is.....I know why I do it and I have a hard time of just stopping!I need to replace my M&M addiction for something else like going to bed. I should just stop buying them right? UGH!

Good for you for having a cup of tea, grabbing Elmo and going to bed.

I think I might have had a spaghetti sandwich once--I had a new sandwich maker and had to try something in it. Thank you for the word art. :)

Bethany thank you so much--today I used my treadmill for the first time in a LONG time and I was working on a layout. This is perfect!

If you take a sleep med, it might be doing your willpower in. I take Ambien and I get the munchies EVERY NIGHT. I can polish off a box of crackers, the leftovers from dinner or dessert, even make grilled cheese or a whole thing of popcorn with butter. I mean, cook it and put real butter on it. Wow that sounds good...
