And I tried to turn on conference, but the internet wasn't working. Crap. What's up with that??? I tried a few things, none of which worked, then finally called Time Warner. And after 30 minutes, conference was on, and all was good again! I turned it on the Big TV (with the laptop), and sat down to listen. There were some really good talks.
Between 1st and 2nd sessions, I ran to the Dollar Tree to grab some bread. And SCORED! They had bagels, the bread we like, and my Sandwich rounds! I bought it all! They freeze well, you know!
And then it was off to Howdys! I got myself a 64 oz, and Tom a 44 oz. And back home I went.
We had lunch, and I made some super cute Easter snacks! My mom had sent me the link for it. Don't have it now, though... Anyway, it takes a bag of marshmellows, a stick of butter, and a bag of Chow Mein noodles. And some Malt Eggs for Easter. Pretty easy :)
Melt 1/2 cup butter in a pot, add the bag of marshmallows, and melt. Then turn off heat, and add the package of chow mein noodles. Just like rice crispy squares.
Shape into balls, flatten, poke an indent in the middle, and put 2 "eggs" inside the nest. And chill. SUPER easy
And soon ,it was time for the 2nd session of conference. After about the first 30 minutes, Jake came home with his friend, and they wanted to go to the Teen Center. So I said I'd drive them over. My iPhone got conference, so I just plugged it into the stereo in the car, and listened that way. Pretty tricky, huh?
When I got home, the kids were watching TV, so I put my headphones on, and listened to the rest of the 2nd session. And designed while I was listening.
Here's Jim watching TV. I don't know why there's an end table in the middle of the floor. I don't even know where it came from. I think it was in the garage, maybe....
We ate the treats, and shared with the neighbor kids. Who were over to play. It was an electrons Free-For-All today... I guess that's what Saturdays are for sometimes, right? Yeah, tomorrow will be NO fun time electronics for the kids. They had an overabundance of it today :)At around 5:30pm, I got a call from Jake from the Teen Center, saying that he and Clayton were ready to come home. I guess their turn for the XBox got over, and other kids were messing around with the Legos and lost the privilege for everyone. So they didn't have anything else they wanted to do. So I went to pick them up. It's about a 10 minute drive across post...
When I got home, I made homemade pizzas for the fam, and cooked them up. I kept designing, and think I designed about 4-6 WordArt packs today. Not too shabby :)
At 8:oo pm, I made everyone turn off electrons, and we cleaned the house. And I had Tom go and get Jake (who was across the street at Claytons house) so that he could help clean too. And the house looks much better now!
I put the little kids to bed at 9pm, and Jake and Tom and I watched 2 episodes of Chuck. And here it is, 11:02pm, and I'm done blogging, and designing, and the kids are all in bed. I may go get a 64 oz Howdys of water, and watch a movie. Sounds like a fun thing to do :)
General Conference starts at 10am EST tomorrow, and you can find it HERE. YEAH for church at home twice a year, in my jammies! hehe :)
