Hope everyone had a WONDEFUL Father's Day yesterday! We had a little Father's Day party on Saturday night, since we usually don't see my husband much on Sunday's. He was out the door at 7:30am (no breakfast in bed :(), and didn't get home until about 3. He took a nap (that's always my favorite part of Mothers day!), then had to turn around and got out Home Teaching. The 2 oldest boys, and Captain America, and I did get a chance to play some games tonight, though. That was a lot of fun. We played "Magic, the Gathering", a card game. We'd just recently bought some new decks at Wal-Mart, and wanted to try them out and teach the boys how to play also. I won, and that always makes the game seem more fun! lol!

Thin Feels

This WordArt request is from urgrlfrdy. She's doing Weight Watchers, and says that it's her favorite new thing they say there. I've heard it a few times, and also think it's great. I have to keep this in mind when I'm watching my kids eat things like Wendy's Frosty's, and fried chicken, and quesidellas (yeah, it's definitely not spelled right!) with ranch. While my food is tasty and satisfying, sometimes my brain likes to feel sorry for itself. I just need to repeat this saying more :) But, something is working, cause I'm 14 lbs down. Yeah for me :)

Tee Ball

Just had to say, Happy Anniversary to Me and My Hubby, 12 years today!!!! Woohoo!

We went to Cub Scout camp yesterday for a few hours, and it was just enough to make me sick from the heat. Well, not totally sick. But i started to feel yucky on the way home, and I didn't really recover from it. I'm definitely taking the day easy today, in my nice cold AC.

OH YEAH! I forgot to tell you all that it's FINALLY FIXED! Cold air once again :) We had to call different repair men, since the one from last time messed it up. When the new guy went into the attic, he found that the...um...unit? was not level, so the run off water wasn't going through the pipe. And , the drain pan wasn't level, so it was overflowing, right onto my bed. Nice. But, the new guy fixed it all, and we've had cold air since Thursday. THANK YOU REPAIR MAN! You're my hero!!!!

We put my oldest in Tee-Ball when he was in Kindergarten, and it wasn't a good time. He just sat in the outfield and picked dandelions the whole time. Sibling Relationships

We get to go out to Scout Camp for the morning today! Should be fun. Since my hubby is the District Director, he can show up at events and bring us with, and we can just walk around and have fun without having to be there all day long. Sometimes that's just the right amount for my gang! Ha! We're a little camped out right now. Our pack is there for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, but Friday morning works perfect for me!

Oh yeah, it's Friday the 13th! Almost forgot. So, are any of you superstitious? Isn't it supposed to be a bad day? (I only knock on wood, no other superstitions - although hubby WON'T cross a black cat - lol!)

Riding

We filled up our pool (just a wal-mart one, nothing too fancy) on Sunday (yeah, keeping the kids out of that was fun!), and got to go and play in it yesterday. The kids played from 9am till 2pm. I had to go to Wal-mart, so I made 'em get out :) We hung out in the nice air conditioned room (our one window unit is upstairs in the kids room) for the afternoon, and read books. Then, after dinner, the pool was "open" again, and they played till 7pm. We all went back into the "cool" room and watched a family movie together, until the kids all drifted off to sleep, one by one. All in all, it was a very relaxing day :) I even got time to design a new WordArt mini pack (it's not ready for the store yet) and rework my Mom and my Aunts blog headers. Awesome day!

So today was H-O-T! I'm not loving life right now, girls. We even went to church 45 minutes early, just so we could sit in the nice AC, and stayed an hour past, chatting. Yeah, it's that hot. I'm miserable! And it's affecting the quality of my WordArt, and we don't want that! All I have to say is, those repairmen had better be here on Wed/Thurs, and they'd better fix it fast, or....or....well, it's just not gonna be good! Miss passive aggressive here will DEFINITELY have words with them in my head! So they'd better watch out!

Wednesday WordArt at ScrapOrchard

Impossible

We had a ton of fun at our campout this weekend. I know, I know, we camp A LOT! Hehehe. This time is was through Scouts - a baseball game and campout on the field. My kids had a BLAST! My oldest told me that it was the most fun he'd had ALL MONTH! heheheh, you know, that's a LONG time for a little kid - lol! The kids all found a new friend to hang out with after the game (11pm), and had fun running amok all round the field. They watched movies, and the ball field lights didn't go out till 1am! Talk about fun times for kids! We were up at the crack of dawn (literally), and everyone was out of the ball field by 7:30 am. I did get a nice nap this afternoon though! Gotta love naps :) Of course the kids trashed the house while I slept, but it sure felt GOOD!

Now mind you, this wasn't a lake or pond we went to - it was the park! We've had such bad rain the last few days, that the low areas are all filled up! It was stinky and nasty, but Jimmy was in HEAVEN!!!

Awe, aren't my kids sweet! (note to self - don't take 5 kids to a baseball game if your hubby is running the event - you'll have to corral them all by yourself :) lol

Ah Ha! He came to see us! He got to sit with us from the 5th inning on! Look how hot and sweaty we all are! Crazy heat!

Here I am! I'm liking my new big sunglasses :)

Joe is crazy! I told him to have a big smile, cause the last one was a little weak. Well, I guess this one is "stronger"!!!

When I originally made this WordArt Mini Pack, I wondered if there was a need - but after thinking about it for a while, I decided that, yeah, everyone dies at some point, and we all know a loved one who has died. We've got a really busy day planned for today! We have a school picnic from 11-2, then a Cub Scout evening with the Minor League Baseball Team for 6:30 - whenever - We can even camp out on the field if we wish. Don't know if I wish or not! hehehe. But, I'll be cooler outside then it is in my house right now! And, it's supposed to be above 90 for the next few days. Yeah, I'm not liking the AC guys right now. Curses on them :)

So it was another day of thunderstorms. Wow! It rained really hard. And this coming from a girl who grew up in the Pacific Northwest! Our rental house has AC, which has been really nice the last few days, but we noticed that our ceiling upstairs in our bedroom (right under the AC) is leaking whenever the AC is on. So, it's off until further notice. I REALLY hope it doesn't get hot the next few days, or I might expire! Us Oregon coast girls aren't made to deal with the heat, isn't that right Madi!

Freckles

WOW! Was anyone else hit by the massive thunderstorms that rolled across the Midwest yesterday? It rolled right through our town! It was quite impressive to watch! So you all know that I'm kinda a weenie when it comes to being afraid of animals, but did you know that I LOVE storms? Kinda a weird quirk, I know. Well, any natural disaster, really. I LOVE watching those shows where entire towns are wiped out by tidal waves, buried by volcanoes, cities crushed by monsters (wait, that's Cloverfield, not a natural disaster!). You get the idea. So, while I was glad that the tornado passed without wiping out our house and home, something inside me was waiting for the natural disaster to strike. LOL! I'm a freak, I admit it :)

Hehehe, I have to admit that the first thing I thought when the storm hit tonight was "Oh crap, I forgot to post tomorrow's WORDART! Oh no!" I was so glad when the storm passed, and I was able to get online and post it. See how much I like you all!

This WordArt request is from Trina - I know that I can use it, even though no one in my family has true freckles. I get them, kind of, in the summer time when I get a tan. But I was thinking of one Halloween when I was a farm girl. Great big freckles painted on my face! LOL! Or even with my 2 year old when he's all mud splattered. That would be a really cute page! Remember, I don't do animals. I got freaked out when we visit some friends, who happend to raise rabbits to sell for 4H projects. She had a nice sized rabbit house, with a TON of rabbits in cages. Theoretically, they were beautiful looking animals. But all I could think of was that Killer Rabbit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I wanted to run. But I was brave, and no one knew of my panic :) lol. Seriously, 20-30 red eyed rabbits could get me if they all joined together and attacked. You know I'm right!

Benevolent Boutique

So, I am working (well, doing WordArt, she's doing most of the work - lol) with Crystal (Digiscrapalicious) on a new store she has called Benevolent Boutique. I made 3 WordArts for each kit. Here's a little bit more about it from her site:

Family LOVE

YEAH, we're back! I know, you couldn't tell I was gone, but I was :) It was a great reenactment, and the kids had a lot of fun riding the train, and playing on the play structure (who knew there was gonna be a GIANT play structure in our campsite!), and shooting Yankees (lol). But, I'm glad to be back home. I'll put some pics on tomorrows post (I'm too tired tonight - it's still Sunday night)

Yesterday

Ha! I ran out of requests last Thursday when I was getting ready for our Civil War Reenactment (remember, I'm not really here - hehehe ), so I got to pick on that I liked. I haven't had to do that in a while :) It's kinda fun to pick my own quotes :) hehehe. And just so you all know, I've been doing 1 request per email. If you have multiple requests, I just pick my favorite. So, if you've requested something in the past and it didn't get done, just wait a while after your request is done, then submit another one.
