Teacher Compass

This WordArt request is from Lannette (NightMajk), who wanted WordArt for homeschool, since she is homeschooling her kid (s). I thought that a nice, all purpose teacher quote would be great. Good for homeschoolers, good for public schoolers, good for private schoolers - good for EVERYONE! Yeah for me :)

Loss & Death WordArt Mini Pack

When I originally made this WordArt Mini Pack, I wondered if there was a need - but after thinking about it for a while, I decided that, yeah, everyone dies at some point, and we all know a loved one who has died. Wouldn't these make a great element for your layout of your loved one. I'm gonna start on a layout of my Grandpa, who died 4 years ago. Miss you, Grandpa Lucky.

Click here to visit my store :)

Also, I'm kicking around the idea of having a Monthly WordArt club thing - where you pay $3.00 a month and get 12 WordArts per month. Haven't worked out the details yet. Does this sound like something anyone would be interested in? Just post a comment here and let me know. Thanks girls!!!

Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow

We've got a really busy day planned for today! We have a school picnic from 11-2, then a Cub Scout evening with the Minor League Baseball Team for 6:30 - whenever - We can even camp out on the field if we wish. Don't know if I wish or not! hehehe. But, I'll be cooler outside then it is in my house right now! And, it's supposed to be above 90 for the next few days. Yeah, I'm not liking the AC guys right now. Curses on them :)

This WordArt request is from Cathy - Isn't it great :) She thought it would be good for Weddings, anniversaries, valentines day cards, etc. I have to agree with her!

Forever

So it was another day of thunderstorms. Wow! It rained really hard. And this coming from a girl who grew up in the Pacific Northwest! Our rental house has AC, which has been really nice the last few days, but we noticed that our ceiling upstairs in our bedroom (right under the AC) is leaking whenever the AC is on. So, it's off until further notice. I REALLY hope it doesn't get hot the next few days, or I might expire! Us Oregon coast girls aren't made to deal with the heat, isn't that right Madi!

WordArt request is from MaryAnn - she wanted the version that said "rent free" on the end, but I really liked it without. So, you get 2 choices today! Aren't I nice :)

Freckles

WOW! Was anyone else hit by the massive thunderstorms that rolled across the Midwest yesterday? It rolled right through our town! It was quite impressive to watch! So you all know that I'm kinda a weenie when it comes to being afraid of animals, but did you know that I LOVE storms? Kinda a weird quirk, I know. Well, any natural disaster, really. I LOVE watching those shows where entire towns are wiped out by tidal waves, buried by volcanoes, cities crushed by monsters (wait, that's Cloverfield, not a natural disaster!). You get the idea. So, while I was glad that the tornado passed without wiping out our house and home, something inside me was waiting for the natural disaster to strike. LOL! I'm a freak, I admit it :)

Hehehe, I have to admit that the first thing I thought when the storm hit tonight was "Oh crap, I forgot to post tomorrow's WORDART! Oh no!" I was so glad when the storm passed, and I was able to get online and post it. See how much I like you all!

This WordArt request is from Trina - I know that I can use it, even though no one in my family has true freckles. I get them, kind of, in the summer time when I get a tan. But I was thinking of one Halloween when I was a farm girl. Great big freckles painted on my face! LOL! Or even with my 2 year old when he's all mud splattered. That would be a really cute page! I may have to break down and scrap that one of these days :)

This layout is by Trina - You did a great job, girl! Lovin' the colors! You know, I always wanted freckles - lol! I get 'em sometimes in the summer time, from the sun. I think they're adorable!

Dog WordArt

Here are a few pics from our last Reenactment - it was a LOT of fun (minus the thunderstorm on Fri night and HOT weather on Sunday - lol)

I just LOVE this photo for some reason! Aren't my kids cute :)

Here are Captain America and I. It was sure warm! And no, head bands are not period correct! LOL!

For some reason, I just LOVE to cook over a fire! Here's our homemade chicken noodle soup. It looked so yummy! Too bad I'm on a diet, and didn't even get to TASTE it! Oh well. It smelled good!

Tom, sitting in the grass, watching on of the battles

Jimmy, playing on the play structure - isn't he cute!

This WordArt request is from Laura, who needed something to go with pics of her boy and his dog.

Remember, I don't do animals. I got freaked out when we visit some friends, who happend to raise rabbits to sell for 4H projects. She had a nice sized rabbit house, with a TON of rabbits in cages. Theoretically, they were beautiful looking animals. But all I could think of was that Killer Rabbit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I wanted to run. But I was brave, and no one knew of my panic :) lol. Seriously, 20-30 red eyed rabbits could get me if they all joined together and attacked. You know I'm right!

So, my animal WordArt is never the best. But, I think they turned out allright. Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the png files, and leave some love if you like my work :)

WordArt "ReWorks"

Well, I frequently get requests for "reworked" WordArt. I decided to take part of the evening, and work over a few that have been sitting in my inbox for quite a while now. I really can't stand to have stuff in my inbox. Does it drive you crazy too? Any more than about 10, and I start getting a bit anxious. lol!

This is a request from Fenn, who wanted the Blah, Blah, Blah quote reworked for pets.
Click on the image to go to my 4shared account to download the png, and leave some love if you like my work. :)

This one was from Tina, who only has one child, and wanted it to be Beware of the Kid.
Here ya go! Click on the image to go to my 4shared account to download the png, and leave some love if you like my work. :)

This rework request comes from Elaine (ehooten, redheadrev). She wanted it to say princess instead of queen. Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the png file, and leave some love if you like my work :)

OK, I think I got everyone. That took care of 3 from the good ole inbox. Horray! hehehe.

Oops, forgot this one - the comment was left on 4shared, and I don't always find all of them :) This is for AK Ruby Girl, who wanted this WordArt for "grown-ups". What, don't grown-ups have "daddy's" too? lmbo!

SO SUNny

OK, even though it says June 1st, disregard that, and remember WEDNESDAY!!! We had some technical difficulties at the Orchard (like it blowing up!), so Wednesday will be good for us! LOL!!!

Boys WordArt Mini Pack and French Quarter WordArt Pack

Wow, who would have thought that being gone for 2 days would have caused such back-ups in my email, and blog, and stuff! I have 2 new kits that released on Friday, and I wasn't even here to see 'em! So, here they are for you all to see (and buy? lol)

Don't worry, I'm working on the Girls Mini WordArt Pack too, but hey, I DO have 4 boys, you know! Of course I'm gonna do that one first! hehehe. I really liked how each of these turned out, and think that I'll have TONS of photos to use them on!

Click here to go to my store and get it! Because our server blew up (can you believe it!) during the weekend, I'm prolonging my 1 day sale - If you go in the next 24 hours, you can get it for 20% off!

Here's a layout I made using one of my WordArts, and papers from the SO SUNNY collab (yeah, I'll post another post about this) - the template is from Amy W's Scrap-A-Lot blog.

I think that this has to be one of my favorite WordArt packs! Isn't it pretty! And, I LOVE the colors Kami (Ziggle Designs) used! She's fabulous!

Click here to go to my site and get it! Again, this one will also be on sale 20% off for the next 24 hours! Hurry and get it while it's on sale!

Benevolent Boutique

So, I am working (well, doing WordArt, she's doing most of the work - lol) with Crystal (Digiscrapalicious) on a new store she has called Benevolent Boutique. I made 3 WordArts for each kit. Here's a little bit more about it from her site:

Benevolent Boutique (BB) is a digiscrap store in the making. BB will feature a forum, gallery, chat, store and of course this blog. The best part of BB is the name represents the store's philosophy. All kits sold at BB are created for to raise money for a charity. Make your memories count, shop at Benevolent Boutique.

Click here to go to the site, and learn more. All the proceeds (minus paypal fees and such) go to the Charity of the Month, this month being "Make A Wish Foundation". So, you get a great kit with a great donation. What could be better!

Family LOVE

YEAH, we're back! I know, you couldn't tell I was gone, but I was :) It was a great reenactment, and the kids had a lot of fun riding the train, and playing on the play structure (who knew there was gonna be a GIANT play structure in our campsite!), and shooting Yankees (lol). But, I'm glad to be back home. I'll put some pics on tomorrows post (I'm too tired tonight - it's still Sunday night)

Sorry about all the circle WordArts, but I just LOVE them! So you'll have to deal with it :) hehehe. I'm sure you can handle it! Oh yeah, and I just wanted to say Thanks to everyone who downloaded Saturdays WordArt. It had a HUGE response. When I got home from camping, and checked my 4shared account, it had 1765 downloaded! Amazing. It's my biggest hit so far!

Yesterday

Ha! I ran out of requests last Thursday when I was getting ready for our Civil War Reenactment (remember, I'm not really here - hehehe ), so I got to pick on that I liked. I haven't had to do that in a while :) It's kinda fun to pick my own quotes :) hehehe. And just so you all know, I've been doing 1 request per email. If you have multiple requests, I just pick my favorite. So, if you've requested something in the past and it didn't get done, just wait a while after your request is done, then submit another one. I keep unfulfilled requests in my inbox, till I post the WordArt :)

Dreams Take You

Well, I should be in Cincinatti right now, on the train, Civil War Reenacting. Hopefully your reading this, and the scheduled posting is working. hehehe.

Back on Memorial Day when we went to friends house, the Tyres's, Michelle, the mom, was showing me her Digiscrapping stuff, and I saw a few WordArts that went across the top of the page, then down the side. They were pretty cool, so I thought I'd try my hand at some! What do ya think? Pretty neat, he?

This WordArt request is for Karen. Hope you like it, girl!

Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work. Thanks!

This layout was sent in by Karen. Isn't it fabulous! She really did a great job with it. I'm so glad I could help you out with your WordArt request! Love the page, and I'm sure your daughter will to! She's gorgeous, btw!

sorry, she didn't include the credits - if you happen to know, or see something familiar, post it in the comments, would ya?

World's Greatest Daddy

I spent yesterday fast and furiously schooling, designing, sewing, and cooking! Wow, I was sure busy. We leave today for another Civil War reenactment, this time a Train Robbery. I'm SO excited, and so are the kids! If you're in the Cincinnati area, come by and check us out :)

This WordArt request is from Carrie, and while I don't know if it totally fits her request, it is Dad themed. Look HERE to find more Dad wordarts :) I know that I'm gonna have a lot of fun using this one in my layouts of my husband and my kids!

Thanks so much to Kim for sending in her layout! Didn't she do a fabulous job! What a cute little family you have :) Thanks again!

King and Queen

OK, OK, so today's WordArt was neat, but not so cool. I get it. Here's 2 more, and hopefully they're better! When I read the saying, I laughed! Yep, sometimes my kids act this way too. Heck, sometimes I ACT this way! hehehe.

Hope you enjoy! Click on the image below to go to my 4shared account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work.

Shield

This WordArt request is for Gwen. She wanted something relating to Law Enforcement. I thought that this would be cute for pics of kids meeting the police officers, or kids playing "cops and robbbers", or even kids dressed up as knights (you know, shield). Hope you enjoy :)

Mind Leaves

Last night was our last regular Cub Scout meeting of the school year. We had a cookout, and the kids played in the crick. It would have been even better if it wasn't raining! Hehehe. But that didn't bother me! I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, remember! If we let a little bit of rain stop our fun, we'd never leave the house! So, our cookout SO reminded me of home!

We can't get Jimmy to "smile", so Captain America decided to join him in the goofy face :)

Yep, it was a bandana day....again :)

Isn't this an awesome pic of Joe! Sure, it's a forced smile, but he's just so stinkin' cute!

Here's Jimmy and the Cubmaster's son, looking at the crick. Aren't they cute!

And here's Jimmy, running off to see something - probably to see the bunnies (our Cubmaster and his wife raise them, then sell them to 4H kids)

And now on to WordArt.

This is a WordArt request for MrsHomerLynn - it's such a funny quote, but sad in my case, because it's SO TRUE! I've heard that with each pregnancy, you loose a bit of your mind - well, I've been pregnant 7 times, so what does that say about ME!!! LOL!

Holds the Future

We had a great day yesterday. Captain America washed and waxed both of the rigs (he's very particular about his vehicles, and takes great pride in making them look as good as he can - it took HOURS) in the morning.

Then we went to our friends (who have 5 kids too!) house in the afternoon. We played in the crick (creek for your non-rednecks- hehehe), played corn hole (bean bags for your non-midwesterners), played croquet, rode 4 wheelers, BBQ'ed (well, we ate our lovely diet food, everyone else had burgers, fries, cheesecake, brownies, grapes, and strawberries - yeah, that was fun to turn away for sliced cucumbers and a bit of steak). It really was a great time. I'd post pics, but my camera was dead (sorry mom!). My friend said she'd email some pics she took, so that's good!

This WordArt request is from Diana, who wanted this quote for a graduation layout. I figured that you all could use it, since it is that time of the year. Here in Southern Ohio, they had graduation on a Sunday. Does that seem weird to anyone else? Oh well.

Memorial Day Remembered

Last night, I was all ready to post the freebie for today, then realized that it was Memorial Day, and I should have something appropriate. Do you know how many really awesome soldier/fallen hero quotes there are? A TON! The first one I picked because I like the song, and the 2nd one I picked because....well... just read the quote and you'll LOVE it too!

Today, at 3:00pm EST, there will be a moment of silence to remember those fallen heroes we are so grateful for. Remember what Memorial day is really all about :)

Star Wars

What a gorgeous Saturday we had! Sunny, not too cold, not too hot, just perfect! Gotta love it!

OK, as I was going through my emails to figure out which WordArt I was supposed to make for today (I try and do them in order that they were received), I remembered that someone asked for a Star Wars WordArt, but I don't have that email any more. So, if it was for you, please let me know by posting a comment on this post, and I'll be sure to let eveyone know it was made just for you :)

Thanks so much to Jody for sending in this clever layout. My boys would LOVE it! When we get together with extended family, there's likely to be a giant light saber duel. Yeah, we're kinda geeky :) hehhe.
