Looking for the Good

Dude, I took a BUTTLOAD of pictures today... Which means that I have a lot to put in my blog. hehe. I guess that means that I was doing a lot, and keeping busy, right?

I got to sleep in. And I LOVED every minute of it. hehe. Well, maybe sleep is too concrete of a word. I got to lounge around in my bed, with the lights out, and the covers pulled up, and didn't have to get up. Kids kept coming in asking me questions, but I didn't get up. LOL. Saturday mornings are divine :)

I finally did craw out of bed around 9:30 or 10am, and went in search of food. The kids had had waffles. LOVE you, Eggos. You make Saturday Sleep In's possible :) I got myself ready, and WAY before I knew it, it was time for the Birthday Party at the Bowling Alley.

You like my new shoes?

Here's me rapping to MC Hammer. Oh yeah, I'm a gangsta!
First soda of the day :) And then I dumped it in my Burger King cup, along with another, and we all headed out to the bowling alley :)

Well, after I rounded up a few kids. Here's Joe with his GI Joe fort
And Jim's GI Joe fort
And I couldn't convince Jake to go. He DID not wanna leave the house. I guess that our excursion to Walmart last night was enough for him. But I told him that he WAS going, and that it would be our family activity.

So when we all finally loaded into the truck, and Jake didn't come out. And I didn't have the energy to drag his sorry butt down the stairs, so I just left him. hehe. I did text him and tell him no electronics while I was gone.

And we got to the bowling alley, and got shoes, and started to play. It was Leo's 8th birthday!

And 2 hands into it, Jake started texting, asking why we'd left him, and if he was in trouble. Whaaat? Was this the same kid who refused to leave the house? Whiplash! hehe :)

Anyway, he SOOO wanted to come now, and wanted me to go back and pick him up. Sigh. So I left the kids at the bowling alley with Kari, and headed back to the house. At least we were only about 3 minutes away from the bowling alley.

So I got Jake, and we headed back. By the time we got there, Laurie and kids were there too :)

Tom did NOT wanna get his picture taken with me, for some reason...
But Jake did!

And then the pizza came! Kari ordered 3 pizzas, and Laurie ordered one, and I ordered one, so there was PLENTY of pizza for all! My kids were in heaven :)

Laurie and I

I was doing really good for the first few, um, rounds? Bowls? Whatever you call it. But then, I started to suck again. hehe. Kari beat me by 30 points.

Ad the last game, I won by 1 point! Yes!

Pehrson, Leo, and Tom
The Birthday Boy

JIm got cold, and Eme let him borrow her pink hoodie. What a good sister - hehe :)

And after about 3 hours, I was SO done with the bowling alley - hehe. Don't get me wrong, it was a GREAT time, but all good things must come to an end, right? hehe. So we loaded up, and headed home. And the kids did their chores, then played some.

And I made my apron! It was pretty cool, actually. And not hard at all to make. I'm totally making more :)

And then it was time for hockey. So we grabbed the hockey bags, ALL the kids wanted to come (oh joy), and back to the truck we went. And off to hockey.

Jake and I helped get Joe and Jim all ready for the ice, then we all went and sat in the stands. And I chatted with Kari's hubby, Brian, and the kids played on their laptops.

TOm was SO incredibly mad at me for taking this picture and posting it on Facebook. Really? I mean, I wasn't the one playing on the fart game for an hour... hehe.

We were home by 5:30pm, and I cooked dinner for the kids. Hot dogs. Yeah, I really went all out. And I cut out a few more pieces 0f fabric for my aprons, and the kids played games. Oh yeah, and Jake had gone to Leo's house. Forgot to mention that one. hehe.

TOm's Laptop
Eme's Laptop
And I sat on the couch with Boxer for a little bit. She's such a great dog :)

And soon, it was time to put the kids to bed.. And I started on my blog. Well, I'd been working on it for a little bit while the kids were playing. Because, as you probably noticed, there were a TON of pictures on here, and it takes FOREVER to post them :) hehe.

K, it's now 8:45pm, and I'm feeling scatterbrained. I wanna turn off this SUPER dumb movie I'm trying to watch (Scott Pilgrim VS The World, or something like that...), go make sure the little boys are asleep, turn on something good to watch, cook myself some popcorn, and see if I can figure out when Jake's coming home :)

Night, all!

Gorgeous picture of your family on Sharon's layout, love it!!! Your apron is darling. And just so you know, next time you go bowling, each little box is called a "frame," so you did good the first few "frames"...at least I think that's what it's called, I might be wrong, no pro bowler here...LOL!

Great artwork. I don't know if I could handle bowling and hockey in the same day. Although the kids volleyball and soccer in the same day isn't much better! :o)
