OMGosh you guys! I just watched this tonight for the first time! It was AMAZING. Actually, it's almost like you don't have to watch the movie, it's so long and detailed. I SO can't wait till November. I'm SO going to the midnight showing. Anyone wanna come with me and the girls???

Wow - it was a SUPER long day on Thursday. Draining is more like it. It kinda sucked all the energy from me - hehehe.

I had a hard time falling asleep at 3:30am on Wednesday night (well, Thursday morning, really), from all the caffeine. I know, I know, I shouldn't drink it. Anyway, I woke right up at 7:00am on Thursday morning. I jumped right up out of bed, got the kids ready, cleaned up a little bit, got Jake going in school, and went on a walk with the girls. It's nice to get out of the house and be moving around. Even if it's a slow pace, I'm still getting the benefit of moving around.

I got back home at around 10:15am, and called the USO to find out about free lunch. Remember I told you that the USO is doing free lunch the last Thursday of the month? Well, apparently that was faulty info. The woman on the phone said that they do it a few days before payday. The next date is the 29th of September. Not too long from now. Next Tuesday, I think. We'll be there.

Anyway, that freed up my morning. I sat down with my computer, and just vegged the rest of the morning. I can't even really say what it is I did. hehehe. I know I was trading emails with a Cub Scout leader guy from church. That turned real ugly real fast. He was sending all the correspondence to both Captain America and I. I'm not sure why. I'm the one with the Cub Scout calling. I've been given the responsibility (from the Primary president and bishop) to get the Cub Scouting program back to where it should be. And this guy is fighting me every step of the way.

I think he feels like I'm trying to take the program away from him. But really, all I"m doing is getting the committee up and running and functioning again. Anyway, many emails were traded, and it started to get a little heated. Captain America, since the guy emailed him too, emailed him back about a "professionals" take on the situation. Well, that just offended him more. Then his wife got involved. She was REAL mean. She actually said that I act superior to people. Really? Me? I mean, sure, I'm pretty cool (ROFL!), but come on. Anyone who knows me know that if anything, I have an inferiority complex - hehehe. She was typing with all caps on (yelling) and using many exclamation points. I found it rude. Neither Captain America nor I had done anything to warrant that kind of behavior.

So, after all the nastiness/hurt feeling-ness started, I just forwarded the entire conversation to the Primary president. I wasn't sure what to do with it all, and figured that she'd be able to work it out. Poor thing. I didn't want to dump it on her, but I was out of my realm. When things go back, just go a step up the "chain of command". That's what they're there for, right?

She was so good. She wanted to meet with me first, then him. Sounded good to me. The emailing back and forth took ALL day long, and soon it was time for the kids to be home from school. Joe and I danced for a little while (I was practicing the dances that the girls had taught me the other night - the cha cha slide and the cupid shuffle. Joe was SO cute to watch dance. I really thought that Eme would like it best, but Joe did - hehehe.

After dinner, it was time for Tiger Cubs. It was nice to just go, Joe and I. Andrea was there with Ben, too. That was fun! We got to chat and hang out while the boys did their thing. (just in case you're wondering, we're involved with 2 different Cub Scout packs. One through church, and one for Tiger Cubs - they meet on 2 different evenings)

Here's Joe with one of the boys from the pack.

Joe and I. I didn't realize that Jimmy had put a white clippie in my hair before I left. Nice. Maybe I'll start a new fashion trend - hehehe.

Here's me and Andrea.

Joe's Tiger group made "Scrapbooks" to put family pictures in. He was SO proud of his.

And I just HAD to share this carpet with you. Isn't it hideous! And the colors on here don't do it justice. It was SO vibrant. We decided that it would be easy to keep clean, though. You don't even notice toys on it. Sure, it'll give you a migrane to stare at it too long, but that's beside the point - hehehe.

So, I came home, dropped off Joe, and headed out to the Primary President's house. We talked about the Scout situation, and figured out a game plan. She said that she probably should have told him before hand that I was put in charge of bringing Scouts up to speed. He may have thought that I was taking over unjustly. She's gonna meet with him separately before church on Sunday. Hopefully it'll get all straightened out soon. I felt SUCH hostility in the emails from both him and his wife (well, his wife more - her parting remarks were "You do not want me mad" coupled with "BACK OFF" a few times...), that I'm a little concerned about it. Hopefully it'll all be taken care of.....If I mysteriously disapperar from the digi world, you'll know why.

Anyway, it took it's toll on my this evening. I'm pretty tired. It's 11:33pm, and I still haven't designed a freebee yet. I need to go do that. Then post it, and go to bed. I can feel the 3 1/2 hours of sleep catching up with me. 7am is gonna come early tomorrow, I can tell.

So, I'm sure you can figure out where I got the inspiration for today's WordArt. If not, just go read through the post again - hehehe. Click on the links below to go to my accounts to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work. Thanks!

It's too bad people get so wound up and possessive about "protecting" their turf. They lose sight of the goals of the program. If they were really focused on helping the boys have a great experience, they'd be happy for any volunteer help they could get.

Take care of yourself today!

Did anyone let you know that "would" is misspelled? So sorry about the extra stress with your calling. I've been in tough situations in Primary before with the music leader excluding children from small groups and solos which I wouldn't allow and then she went crazy on me. Strange how some people take things. Hope it works out!

OH, I love your angry picture. Very cute. Keep your chin up through it. Sometimes I am considered a bit 'snooty' but the truth is that I am more a loner and tend to do my own thing. People can often misread others. As long as you know your true nature that is what matters. Others will just have to adjust. :) Have a wonderful evening, whether others do is up to them. :)

Glad you could take a stressful situation and make something humorous out of it. Definitely don't let them bully you.

Thanks for the great word-art, I'm a Hulk/BB fan from waaaay back, and love it. :) Hope the inspiration for your choice calms and everything works out. I think the carpet is a lot of wild fun, but then, I haven't ever walked into a room filled with it, so I might have the advantage of being generous by looking at a 4" square of it. ;) Totally cool that kids are doing scrapbook pages (proudly, too).

Yes that carpet is hideous. I've also seen the trailer for New Moon, I can't wait, but I think I'm going to just to avoid all the teeny boppers that will squeal in delight when Jacob takes his shirt off...er..wait, that's me lol 'cept I'm not a teeny bopper lol. Have you been watching the Vampire Diaries? It's not a bad show, and similar to Twilight in a lot of ways.

That carpet is awesome!
I can't wait for New Moon either! I'll wait for a few days after it opens so it's not so busy though. Hopefully i can restrain myself lol
