I was up at 7:20am, and getting myself and kids ready. And Jake and Tom had showered the day before, and Eme showered, and I bathed Joe and Jim. And the morning deteriorated from there.
Tom and Eme were perfect. . But Jake was HORRID. HAbsolutelye didn't wanna go, and couldn't find his clothes, and when I sent him to get dressed, he just sat on his bed and daydreamed, then wasn't ready to go when we left.
Joe couldn't find his Sunday pants, and had to wear cargo pants. And couldn't find his Sunday shoes, so he had to wear tennis shoes. At least hey were black, right?
And Jim couldn't find ANY of his Sunday clothes. So I got him a button down shirt, and some cargos. A size 10. And yeah, they TOTALLY wouldn't button AT ALL. And we were late. So he put back on the black sweat pants, and grabbed his shoes, and out to the truck we went.
And waited for like 10 minutes for Jake to find SOMETHING to wear and get in the truck. Sunday shirt, not buttoned at the top or a tie, jeans, and messy hair. SO not cool! Next Saturday, we're gonna be READY for church before kids go to bed! That's all I'm saying.
See, Eme is ADORABLE!
And even the ride there sucked. Jake was HORRID there too! "Why do I have to go to church". Why can't I just stay home?" "What happens if I decide NOT to listen to you?" Sigh. I was at the end of my rope...
So we get there 5 minutes late (thanks, Jake...) And we have to sit in the back in the metal chairs. But that's ok. I make Jake sit in a row by himself, and the other kids all crowd around me. And then the REAL fun starts. "Can I sit in the truck the whole time?" "Can I get a drink?" "Why can't I get a drink?" All said in a normal voice (when he should have been quiet). Disrespectful little fart! And then, magically, about 20 minutes into the meeting, he snapped out of it, and was very nice. He helped the little kids color pictures, and wanted to come and sit by me and hold my hand. This kid is gonna give me whip lash with the mood swings!
But eventually, it was over, and they all left for classes. Is that sad that I like Sunday because they go away for 2 hours? hehe.
I had an interview with a member of the bishopric, and they had a calling for me! I was pretty excited :) And they asked how we were doing, and how Captain America was doing, and if we needed anything, and that they were working on getting us Home teachers. Yeah, those might be important...
I caught the last 1/2 of Sunday School, and then got a text from Charlotte, saying that she had a 15 minute break from primary, and to come and drink a soda with her in the parking lot! ROFL! She's the BEST :) Because, I had a 12 pk of Diet Dr Pepper in my trunk, and I SO needed another one - ha!
We chatted and had a good time, then headed back inside. We chatted with the Primary President for a bit, then she headed to class, and I headed to Relief Society. It was a nice lesson, then it was time to go home. I picked up the kids, and saw Tom and Joe and Eme standing together all nicely, and just NEEDED photo documentation of the event - ROFL!
I finally found some of the fabric that I let the church borrow. It was in the relief society room, along with a few totes of crafing supplies. The ladies said that they were free for the taking, and that we should take them. And my kids were SO excited. Funny, huh? Buttons and ribbons and such. Who would have known that they found that stuff SO entertaining. The whole way home from church, they looked and rummaged and divided it up - hehe.
We had lunch when we got home, and I had RAN OUT OF CHEESE! NOOOOO! So I had tuna. And, I found that if I replaced 1/2 of the miracle white with plain fat free yogurt, you can't even tell the difference. And it was a pretty tasty sandwich!
I sat down with my laptop for a while, and designed some freebies for next week, and the kids ate lunch and played with the crafts. And played outside. And were loud. And crazy. And about 3 hours was ALL I could take. I decided to go and take a nap. And they were SO loud, and kept bothering me, so I decided that I'd clean, and THEY could go to their rooms. So I rearranged the living room a tad bit, and swept and spot mopped, and once it was cleaned, I let the kids come out.
And my mom and grandma and aunt and sister all got together on our Video Phones (3 between us all), and had a little 3 way chat. And it was pretty fun. My kids were TOTALLY wound up! Like they'd never seen themselves on a TV before - hehe :)
Eventually, we all hung up, and the kids had dinner. And we watched a movie. And cleaned up in the kitchen just a little bit. And FINALLY, after what seemed like days, it was bed time - ROFL! We put Jim and Joe and Eme to bed, and Jake and Tom and I watched an episode of Chuck. And I blogged. And then Tom went to bed, and Jake and I are watching an episode of Fringe.
My kids all have school tomorrow :) hehe. I know that I should be sad, but I'm not. I need a break after such a long and noisy Sunday - ha!

Great word art! Thank you!
The word art is so timely! We have "Biker Sunday" at our church once a year, where we invite the community to bring in their motorcycles for a fun day of worship, cookout, stunt shows and great fellowship, and today was the day, so your word art will be perfect for the photos I snapped - thanks so much!
My husband enjoyed this word art! :) Thanks
