I actually got to sleep in until a little after 8am. Then got up, and hung with the family for the morning. We were in the backyard for a while, cause it was warm, but not too hot yet.
At around 10:30am, we got dressed, and Aunt Sue, Maddie, Lily, Jim, and I headed out for some shopping. But got a little behind schedule when Kari's hubby, Brian, brought Captain Americas truck back. He and I chatted for a bit, then the girls and Jim and I headed out to shop. First stop, Fallas. Jake wanted the GI Joe sheets for his bed too. We picked those up, and I got Eme some undershirts and undies too. And off we went to Goodwill.
I like the Goodwill on Montana for shoes. They're a little cluttered, but they have good deals. We walked in the door, and couldn't find the sign for the color that's 50% off.... It had a spanish sign over it. I could tell it said something about Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and 50 % off. That's not gonna help me much...
So we went and asked the cashier. She said it was 50% off of EVERYTHING this weekend. Oh yeah!!! We were pretty excited. And, they'd rearranged things since last time we were there. The shoes were all arranged on one wall, and there were TONS of them. All arranged by color. And I was SO excited! I found a ton of pairs that I liked. And that fit. And a few for the kids!
We had high hopes for hitting all the stores we wanted before 1pm, but it wasn't gonna happen. So we headed home after Goodwill. To make lunch and feed the kids. And put little ones down for a nap.
Do you like my new shoes??
Maddie and Lily went to take a nap, and around 3pm, Aunt Sue and I made a quick Walmart run. She needed a few bead things, and I needed hangers for the kids' rooms. We got what we needed, and picked up some ice cream and cones for dessert. The kids were gonna be SO excited!
We headed home, got food in the oven, and cleaned up a little bit. Then ate, had some ice cream, and let the kids play. Those skateboards were a great investment. They've been playing with them a whole bunch :)
I think he needs some new undershirts...We sat outside for a bit longer, and I found this blue mark on my foot!! What the crap? It looks like sharpie, or something. Because it doesn't come off! Sigh.
My new water bottle. Found it at Goodwill. Don't worry, it was new. It's HUGE and was only $2.00Ella
Me
Eme had fun playing with her modeling clay. Check out all the neat things that she made :)At 8pm, we put the kids to bed, and sat down to watch some Psych. It's now 8:55pm. Jake did pretty good today, too. He slept in until around 10am. And wasn't teasing people as much. Sure, he was still teasing people a little, but it didn't get out of control. And he got a little upset a few times when I told him to do this or that, but it wasn't uncontrollable. He did what he was told, for the most part. I'm thinking that the new drugs are helping! Boo ya!
