It's Halloween Today!

Hola! How's everyone doing? Are you excited that it's FINALLY Halloween??? My kids sure are :)

So, Saturday morning, I slept in. Well, I tried to. At 7:30am, I heard a slight noise, and I opened my eyes a little, and there stood Jimmy. 3 inches from my face. Staring at me. Yeah, that was freaky.

"Mommy, can Joe and I watch a movie".... Hehe, "Yes, Jimmy, it's Saturday morning".

And I tried to go back to sleep, for quite some time. And I must have, although it felt like I just laid there forever, fallen back asleep, because I woke up at 9:30am, and realized that I needed to HUSTLE. We had a primary activity at 10am across town. Oops :)

I peeked out the door, and the primary aged kids were awake, so I told them to go throw on some non jammie clothes and get ready for the activity. I read my scriptures and said my morning prayers, and got ready too. Captain America got up, and he got ready also.

Yeah, we were a little late to the activity, but we still made it there. Jake stayed home, because he wasn't in primary and didn't wanna come. We dropped the kids off at the church, and headed to the gas station. My truck was on empty, and I needed a caffeine fill up - ROFL!

Oh yeah, MUCH better - hehehe
And yeah, gas is SO expensive!!!
Seriously? My poor truck only get 11 miles to the gallon.

Captain America and I headed to the Dollar Tree to pick up a few things. Yeah, I'm not sure how I missed this one, but Captain America's going to the field for 10 days starting on Monday. Whaaaaat? Crap! He needed some snacks and energy shots and such. And yeah, we found a TON more things there that we "needed". But it was fun. We had a good time hanging at the Dollar Tree - ha!

And it took a lot longer than we expected, and before we knew it, it was time to go and collect the kids. We picked them up, and chatted for a while with some of the others there, and yeah, the kids had a TON of fun at the activity. The fact that they got ice cream at the end may have helped with that :)

Here's Jimmy posing in the bean bag toss game. Silly kid :)
And then we headed way across town to pick up Captain Americas truck. Whatever they did, they didn't charge him for it, because it should have been done the first time, or something like that. All I know is, I didn't have to pay for it, and it's running better. hehe.

And then we headed to Walmart. To get about 7 things on our list. And yeah, who ever gets out of Walmart with ONLY the things on their list. I think that's their plan.... hmmmm, I'm on to you, Walmart.

We got there, and everyone went to the bathroom (yeah, that takes a LOT longer than one would think...), then headed to the In Store Walmart McDonalds. And Captain America went to the deli section of Walmart, and bought a Rotisserie chicken. And I went to McDonalds and got burgers, fries, and drinks for the kids, and side salads and drinks for Captain America and I.

And we all sat in a booth that held 3 people. hehe. Because it was lunchtime at the Walmart McDonalds. Real crowded. But we managed until some other people left and we got another booth. hehe.

Here's the chicken that Captain America and I had. Some people sitting next to us thought that bringing in a chicken to eat with our salad was a good idea. hehe.

More soda!

And then, back to the bathroom. hehe. Yeah, with this many people in the family, someone is always going to the bathroom. hehe.

And we got all the stuff that we needed, and a few things that we didn't, and ended up in the toy isle. And yeah, I found this COOL GI Joe Storm Shadow outfit. What do ya think?

We had 2 more bathroom stops before we finally made it out of Walmart. ha! And we headed home. And I was exhausted! hehe. Walmart on a Saturday sucks. hehe. But it was family togetherness, right?

We got home, got stuff put away, got kids situated with activities, and totally took a nap. And because I'd had SO much caffeine, it wasn't such a great nap (hehe), but it was a nap :) And we woke up before dinner time, and Captain America went to work on his car (oil change and detailing). I made meatloaf, then sat down to design for a while. I made 3 WordArt packs before dinner was done!

And we ate, and the kids and I watched some TV, and eventually all the kids went to bed. And Captain America finished up his truck. I know I took a nice, hot, relaxing bath somewhere in there. The evening just kinda blended together on me. hehe.

And here I sit, at almost midnight, trying to blog (it's taking a LOT longer than usual - really need to start earlier in the day ...) and watching The Office with Captain America. Yeah, I need to tie this up and go focus. hehe. Night, all!

If you think your gas is expensive in the UK the same amount would cost about $300!!!!! Thanks for all the great wordarts xx

Got to agree with 'Anonymous' above. Your petrol is cheap ... really cheap! It's about 1/3 of the price of unleaded in the UK. We pay in the region of $8 a gallon, give or take, from the price at the pump that you've shown. In fact, most things are a lot cheaper in the US (although there is a huge difference in the petrol prices) which is why so many of us buy online from the US :0)

I'l also agree with 'Anonymous' re the WordArts. I save some of your freebies but I also buy 'cos they're soooo good! Read your blog everyday. It's interesting to see how life varies between countries. Don't always agree with how you run yours but each to his own and if we were all the same life would be very boring.

Keep blogging!

OH MY WORD!!!! If my vehicle held that much gas and got that kind of mileage I have no idea what I'd do other than sit down and cry! WOW!

Thanks for the great word art as always!
