Today was not a good day for Bethany. Anyway, without getting into all the details of it all, Captain America took her to an ER specializing in mental health. She had an appointment set up on September 21 but she wasn't looking like she'd make until then. So she really didn't want to go, but Captain America and I told her it was for the best. I texted with her up until they called her back to talk with her.
The next text I got from her an hour or so later was that they are going to admit her for 3-5 days for depression. So she asked me to keep up her blog during that time so I can keep all y'all up-to-date on how she is doing and what is going on. To be quite honest, she isn't doing too well. Hasn't been for the last few weeks. She has been scaring me and I have been trying my hardest to keep her afloat. Today we just couldn't. I am glad that Captain America was able to come home at lunch and that they aren't making him go back to the field. So he is with her right now. I am sure he will call me after he leaves.
I have her kids and will be taking them home soon to get them into bed. I hope that his unit gives him some emergency leave the next 3-5 days so he can take care of the family while she is in the hospital. I will be visiting her daily to see how she is doing so I can keep y'all up-to-date. To her disappointment, she is not allowed to have any phones or computers or things like that, but any comments y'all leave for her I will let her know. I can have a phone (I hope) when I visit her. If not, then I'll just have to print out comments so she can read them.
I am glad that she is getting the help she needs. Soon she will be her happy self again and will be in the right mindset and such. I will be keeping her in my prayers and hope that all y'all do the same for her, however it is that you pray and/or meditate.
I won't be posting any free wordart as I do not know how to do so. So in the meantime, I know to the right of the posts are many, many wonderful past wordarts. Look through them. You may find one or two you don't have.
Thanks again for being wonderful readers and awesome people. She needs all the support and love and prayers she can receive! Check back daily for updates! Thank you again!
Much love,
Hilary

Bethany, I got tears in my eyes reading this! I know you didn't feel right "getting help," but know that it's the right thing to do! Glad that you have such a great friend and husband to notice that you needed help ASAP! Prayers are with you and your family!
Hugs and prayers to Bethany and Her family! Please let her know she is not alone.....I have been where she is at. Bethany, sweetie, you WILL feel better eventually! You don't ahve to deal wtih all of this by yourself and it does NOT make you weak if you seek help!! Sometimes we need to lean on someone else....I am a SAHM of five kids also. And i am slowly learning that I need to take time for ME! I also have food issues, self esteem issues and ahve been diagnosed with everything from Bipolar Disorder to PTSD (childhood sexual abuse is the root of most of my problem)
So many people love you and care about you and you have a wonderful family and are so lucky to have friends that care so much. When I was going thru this I had no one.
When you coem back online if you ever want to talk to someone who knows where you are coming from just email me.....I have been there and lived to tell the tale.....you will too!!!!
Much Love!
Tina
Best wishes and prayers to you. From reading your posts, I know you have a wonderful, beautiful family that loves and supports you. Right now you need to take care of yourself, first and foremost!
We love you, my friend. I believe that your friends, Brent and Hilary, have your best interest in mind when arranging for help for you. I wish I was there to share the burden, but know that my thoughts are with you. I am calling tomorrow to have your family name added to the temple prayer roll. This is very selfless, to go beyond what you think you wanna to do to get well. I hope you undestand what I am trying to say. "Phil" is not very happy right now, but know that we are. Blessings shal be coming your way sweetie. Love you forever hun. Andrea R.
You are in my prayers!
Hillary, I've been "lurking" on Bethany's blog for some time. She's a talented word artist and posts some really funny things! Now is the time when I need to leave a comment. Please tell her that she's doing the right thing. She's got a lot going for her, great kids, hubby and friends like you. But all those things also add pressure. I know none of you mean to, but I'm sure she feels that she needs to be "perfect" for all of you. NOT true! I'm sure all of you love her for who and what she is, not some "perfect" ideal. There is nothing wrong with asking for some help, this is not something you can deal with yourself. You can't "will" it away, no matter how strong you are or how hard you try. I'm soooo glad that you were there for her and helped her to get the help that she needs. Will be thinking of all of you. Please do keep her bloggy friends posted as to how she's doing. Sending hugs, R/
You are in my thoughts and prayers! You have a wonderful husband and family who love and need you and a such a wonderful friend too! Take care of yourself and we look forward to reading of a happier & healthier Bethany soon!
Thank you Hilary for keeping us informed as to how she's doing! Give her a hug for us!
Bethany - I found your blog just a week after you started it through a freebie posting and have been a reader almost daily since then. You have been on a journey these last few years, and sometimes it gets bumpy. Many prayers for you and your family - you've been an inspiration to me as a new mom and I know you will come through this stronger.
Bethany, I've been where you are and as hard as it seems right now you will get better. Trust in the doctors and trust in your family & friends. They will be your strength when you need it the most.
The only thing I can offer is my prayer for you Bethany. You are not alone although it feels that way. I too suffer from depression and it is a battle I fight knowing I have God on my side fighting when I feel and think I no longer have the strength.
As hard as it is to admit that we all have a Phil or Madge in our life, we are blessed to have those that can help us. I've been lurking for a while, and Bethany did some word art for my daughter's baptism a couple of years ago. My prayers are with you during this difficult time!!
(( Bethany ))))
Sending you lots of love, hugs and prayers that you are back to yourself soon.
Hugs,
Dee ( MacFanDEE)
You and your family are in my prayers! You and your family come first, take care ♥
First of all, Hillary, most of us have been following Bethany for quite a while and there are no words we can express to say thank you for being there for her and for keeping us updated.
Bethany you are where you need to be right now. Relax and let someone else take care of you now. We are praying for you and your family during this time as we know how much they will miss you. Hugs are coming your way.
Love
Sherlylynn
Hilary, you are a godsend to "our" Bethany. I, personally, will miss her daily posts but, having survived depression myself, know that she is where she NEEDS to be right now. My prayers are with her, her family, and you as well.
Plz tell Bethany that I will be praying for her and her family! Take care of yourself and I'll see you back good as new real soon!
Hugs!
Hilary,
Thank you so much for keeping us updated and for helping her family. They are lucky to have a friend like you!
Bethany,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. The battle you face can be sneaky and I'm glad you have taken these steps to improve your health. Take the time that you need to get yourself into a better place. Hugs
Bethany, so glad that you are getting help, and that your dear friend Hilary and your sweet hubby are there for you as well. There is victory in Jesus! I will be praying for you.
You're in my thoughts and prayers, Bethany.
Bethany! Hugs and prayers coming to you from me in Savannah! Take care of you! We all luv ya!!! We'll be here when you feel better!!!
Bethany, see you are always keepin it real for us! Coz thats what all of lifes ups and downs are is real! I too suffer from depression and anxiety to be on top of everything, hold everyone and myself together and try to fit in a "life" in between. It is not an easy task and it is very hard to achieve and sometimes I just can't manage even the simple stuff. The thing that keeps me goin every day is the constant reminder from those who love me that they really don't care if I don't manage to keep all the boxes ticked, so long as I am still me through it all! Grumpy and happy either way, they will love and care about me and it has often been them that has recognised I need help before I can see it myself! BUT each day life goes on and knowing I have love & support helps in the most profound way...especially when you are a helper! Its nice to know that when YOU need help it is there! Enjoy your rest, coz thats what you need and talk to those who can help and listen it really makes a huge difference! Hugs to you! AND THANKYOU to Brent & Hilary and all Bethanys other friends and family who are there for her! U do not know HOW valuable you are!! xoxoxo
Hilary -- thanks for keeping us updated:) Please tell Bethany she has all our support and best wishes. I too have lurked at this blog for a LONG time and have really felt for her with her comments the last few days -- it is not always easy to admit that you need help, it was hard for me, have been in therapy for 5 yrs on and off for depression and bipolar. It has definately made me a better and more balanced Mom and hopefully it will make her feel that way too:)
Hillary thanks for letting us know how Bethany is doing.
Bethany, I'll be keeping you in my prayers.
Sending all my love to Bethany xxxx
I do know what you are going through hun & you are in the best place to get help..there is no shame in needing help.Im glad you have a wonderful husband & friend to help you when you need it.
Big hugs & lotsa love xxxxxxxxx
I feel like I know you since I read your daily blogs. Though I usually don't comment, I wanted to let you know that you are being thought about and prayed over here in Florida. <>
Bethany,
Praying for you that you will be back to your old self soon. I have been where you are and it is not a failure to ask for help. Hoping you feel better soon.
Hilary thanks for keeping us posted! lol You are a good friend! Bethany you are the best....take care of yourself and get better!
Bethany- you are lucky to get the help now. Take it.
I suffered through post partdum depression for 12 months before I was diagnosed and seeked medical help, I then continued for another 2 years battling it before I could come of medication. Now 4.5 years later I still struggle several days a week & could so easily go back to the other side.
But with the love and support of my family I fight everyday to keep moving forward.
Depression is a battle you will win & from following your blog (one of my favorites!!) you have an amazing family & friend network that will be by your side & help you through this challenging time.
My prayers are with you.
Hi Bethany,
I've been reading your blog for about a year now. I'm not usually the type to comment on blogs, but I felt the need to tonight. I truly hope you embrace the help you have been offered. As a Community Mental Health Worker, I felt your pain as I could see you spiralling downwards the last little while. Know that you are not alone. There is no shame in acknowledging the need for help. True strength comes from knowing your limits and reaching out to others in times of need. The world will not always seem as gloomy. Best wishes on your road to recovery.
Well Bethany is very blessed to have such a supportive family, hubby, kids and friends such as yourself. Prayers going up that all things go as planned to get our girl back on track! Rest and take comfort in knowing we all are out here thinking about you and supporting you in your time of need Bethany.
I know I don't know you.. but I feel I do! Sooo with that I am sending a big hug. Be good to you girlie...
CanadaDiAnna
Dear Lady,
Stay strong, you have a world of friends here. We will all be right here waiting for your return.
Hugs.
Ronda
Hugs and prayers to you, Bethany! (((hugs))))
Will be praying for you and your family.
Hilary - Thanks for all the good care you're taking of Bethany. You're awesome.
Bethany - I'm proud of you for being brave and getting help. I hope that you feel better soon. You are amazing, funny, and wonderful. Just take care of yourself and know that you have lots of people rooting for you and praying for you! *hugs*
(I'm also glad that you have a good support system with your friends and family. What a great blessing. Take care of yourself!)
I have been lurking for quite some time and have found myself many nights as soon as the kids have gone to bed to jump straight to read your blog. I know i have never left a comment before but now is a good time. Im glad that you have so much support to help you through these times. I wish you well and will pray for you to have the strength. Hillary thank you for keeping us updated.
Thank you for letting us know what's happening Hildary. Your information as put me at ease (a bit!). Bethany you will be in my thoughts & prayers. You take care of yourself now : )
Thoughts & Prayers to you & your famliy....People all over the WORLD are inspired by your beautiful kindness. Thanks for sharing even the difficult aspects of REAL life...I am certain you have touched MANY lives, you sure have mine. :)
May GOD help you find a way thru this rough patch and you get back to your happy, beautiful self VERY SOON.
I'm sending a virtual hug & a 64oz diet Dr. Pepper :)
Beth, sending love and good thoughts from VA! <3
I hope you will be back to your happy self soon!
Don't forget that there are people all over the world thinking about you, praying for you (each in their own way) and missing you.
Hilary, I am glad Beth has such a great friend!
Bethany, I am so glad you are getting help. It seems so crazy to be so invested in someone I don't "know" but I feel like I know you. I guess that's the beauty of blog world. Get the help you need. Let others take care of you. Your family and friends obviously love you. Let them help you get strong enough to kick Phil to the curb! I know it may seem trite, but I know that you know that you are a child of a Heavenly Father who loves you so much. He wants you to be happy and his spirit will be there to help you get back to yourself. (((hugs)))
The Lacy Family
Bethany, my thoughts are with you, I hope you get the help you need and that one day you can accept yourself for who you are and be happy.
Hilary, thank you so much for the update!
Bethany, I'm another that has eating and self-esteem issues. So glad you are where you can be cared for! You are worthy, and I pray that someday you will see just how beautiful you really are, inside and out.
I knew something was up after reading her post yesterday. She wasn't posting her normal jovial way. Hilary, please tell her to put her blog on hold and to not give us details. Tell her to keep herself the priority so that she can get well. Anything here on a blog will wait. We'll be here for her to support her but she needs this break. Her life's details don't need to be spread. Many prayers!
Hang in there Bethany. Everyone at SBG is thinking of you and wishing you well. Sending you lots of love and light. Stop worrying about your blog, your word art, or your customers. Take care of you!
P.S. I'm sorry you don't get to keep your phone. I know how much you'll miss it. Soon! :)
Bethany,
I have followed your blog for a while now and it is the first place I visit when I get on the computer each day.
We aren't meant to handle everything in life alone, that is why God gives us family and friends and partners. So we can lean on them when we need support and that little bit extra strength to make it through. Take comfort in the fact you have been blessed with people who love and care for you and let them look after you for a change. Rest, relax and get well again.
Best wishes and hugs coming at you from 'Down Under'.
Kellie
Be sure to tell Bethany that she is in my thoughts and prayers!
Bethany-
Your blog brings much happiness to me each day. Now, it your turn to get the help you need and deserve. Take care of yourself--you are an amazing woman. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.
Jess
Hi Hilary - I'm glad that Bethany has some good friends who will stand by her as she deals with this depression. Bethany, I know this is hard to do, but really, you are doing the only thing that will help. Everyone experiences depression at some point in their life - and it doesn't have to correspond with a dramatic event in our lives. Some rest, medication, and counselling will see you back to your happy self. You have been so unselfish in giving through your blog - the gifts of Word Art - the gift of being able to identify with your daily life - the gift of giving of your friendship. I know that your friends and blog family will stand by you and I send warm wishes and prayers for a resolution to the problems you face. "Be strong, and of good courage!"
Bethany,
I will pray hard for you. My brother is struggling really hard with depression, too, and it just seems like such an unfair trial. You DESERVE to get better. I WANT you to get better. I want you to feel hope, and love and peace.
We will all be thinking and praying for you.
Thank you Hillary and Brent for caring so much about Bethany.
Wow! I KNEW I could count on y'all! I have never had my inbox filled with notes from people.
I talked with Brent tonight after he got home. I prolly won't get to see her everyday since she is limited on visitors. One hour a day and only one! Brent said he would keep me updated on her so I can update y'all. I did have to ask if ONE of those days I could go see her!
She and I have grown close. She's an amazing lady. She has some awesome readers out there. She is going to get through this, I know she is! With all the love and prayers being sent her way, I know she will feel them!
Thank you again for being the best!
Bethany, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I want you to know how much I enjoy your blog and all of the hard work you put into it and your beautiful word art. Take care of yourself & get well soon. Lisa Martin
We love you Bethany. You are not alone. Hang in there!
Praying for you Bethany!!
Hilary -- I know you said she was somewhere they could treat the mental depression. PLEASE have Brent make sure that they give her a complete physical and blood work. With all the weight she has lost and the diet she has been on anemia or a vitamin B12 deficiency could be a big part of the problem.
Positive thoughts to you Bethany.
My heart sunk when I read that Bethany will be MIA for a while. I've been reading this blog since right before her hubby joined the Army. The realness she shares is what makes me love her. I pray that she will find the peace that she needs to get through all of this and same for her family. I know all her readers will be patiently waiting to hear from her again.
I never pray, but you are in my thoughts.
Take care and hope you feel well soon!
Love from Holland,
roelie
Bethany - Please take care of yourself and know that we're all pulling for you! I'm glad you're getting help and wish you much strength. You're in my prayers!
And, thanks, Hilary for being a wonderful friend!
Dear Bethany:
You are so brave to admit that you need help. Sometimes, me included we do not ask for help and we go through years of sadness and grief.
The Lord is by your side reach up and take His hand he will guide you every step of the way.
Remember being a Christian does not mean you are perfect, it just means you are saved.
Love,
Maritza Reyes
We will be praying for you.
OXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO Bethany. You have made sooooo many people happy - I hope you are feeling better soon. Hugs and warm wishes headed your way.
Dear Lord,
Please help Bethany through this hard time in her life. Help burn away the chaff that is infecting her, and pour Your love into her wounded heart and soul, soothing the pain like only You can do. Lord, I ask You to help her remember she is NOT alone in her journey. Help her remember You are ALWAYS with her and will never leave!
~AMEN~
"I cried out with no reply
And I can't feel You by my side
So I'll hold tight to what I know
You're here and I"m never alone"
~Barlow Girls~ Never Alone
Oh Bethany I am sorry that life has thrown you this challenge. I hope that the help you are getting will nurture you good health.
My heart felt best wishes are with you and your family.
Bethany,
As a lover of quotes, I give you Winston Churchill:
"If you're going through hell, keep on going."
Short, simple, and what you are doing right now! You've finished the hardest part which was admitting to yourself and those you know that you needed help. Keep going, even though its hard.
Another? "My strength is made perfect in weakness." ~II Corinthians Everything you are doing right now is strengthening you no matter how "weak" you might feel.
Wish I were closer too, that I could be there to prepare a meal for your family or help out in some other way. Instead I'll send hugs, prayers and positive thoughts your way.
Dear Bethany!
Although I almost never comment on your blog, I really love your work. Your wordarts are beautiful, and I love to read about your everyday life. You can write about it in a way that I can almost feel I'm there right with you although I live on the other en of the Earth. I will miss you and definitely will pray for you. I hope you'll get better and will as happy again as youa re always.
Lots of love,
from Mariann (Hungary)
Bethany, you and your loved ones are in my thoughts and my prayers ! I hope, you can take all the help that you need and get Hun !
Thank you Hilary for letting us know and thanks to Brent and you for being such a wonderful support for Bethany !
Hillary, thanks for the update! Great you and Brent made her take good care of herself!
Bethany, you are an AWESOME woman! I wrote before, the things you do in a day take me a week... Can't look inside your head to see why you have bad thoughts and feelings about yourself. But I can tell you that all I can see is a loving, caring, giving, hardworking, beautiful looking, dedicated mom and woman.
ALL the best to you. I know you've got a great support group around you, and they'll do all to help you out.
So take this time to ONLY think of yourself, and really, REALLY take care of yourself. You always seem to think of others first. It's YOU TIME now girl.
Sending you -and your friends and family- all good thoughts and wishes.
Bethany, please promise me (head of the Lurker Team at the blog) that you take it slow ... really, really, really slow! Listen to your body - it needs rest. Talking from experience: you will not know just how sick you are ... until you come out at the other end. I've been there, and I didn't aknowledge it at first ... went back to normal too soon ... and it got me again. Sleep a lot, eat well, take care of yourself and give yourself the time to heal. You will get better, life will be brighter again and you will be happy again. Just listen to your body, that's screaming at you that it needs rest. Read Psalm 13. Trust that He will help you.
Bethany my prayers are with you. I know from experience how difficult it is to ask for help. It is a long road back but you have a wonderful support group. Hang in there, remember you didn't get to this point overnight and you won't recover overnight. Stay strong and never give up.
Wanda
I'm a lurker on Bethany's blog but read her adventures every day. Thank you Hilary for keeping us up to date and my thoughts are with Bethany and all of you at this difficult time. With the correct help she will soon be back to the bubbly Bethany we know and love but in the meantime, big hugs. xx
Even if I only know you via this blog, I feel like you're a friend of mine ... So all my thoughts are for you know and I hope you'll be better soon !!
Hugs

Thoughts and prayers from Australia
Please tell Bethany she is in my prayers. I have had depression problems and with medical and personal help, am doing well. Sometimes things just get to be too much. Bethany, you need some "just for you" time. I'll be checking in daily to see how you are. Wrap your arms around yourself and get that big hug from me.
Take care,
Barb
This is for Hilary.I know some religions frown upon seeking medical help, how does Bethany's church view seeking medical help?
Bethany is in my thoughts.
Bethany I am praying for you!! You are a wonderful lady and you always bring a smile to my face. Please keep smiling and know that you are loved!
May God Bless you.
Monica
I had a feeling she was headed for this. I have been where she is. It is difficult to admit to oneself that the "pulling yourself up by the boot straps" isn't enough in today's society, where depression is always looked by the public as "you're weak". She will be getting intense help & I will keep her & the family in my prayers. On a side note, God is my strength daily. I hope through the dark clouds, Bethany can see the marvelous light of His love shining on her.
D :)
I am so happy Bethany has such wonderful family and friends to help her out.
Too often people don't have the support they need for this type of thing.
We'll keep you in our prayers! Thanks for all the work you do - and thanks for being strong enough to seek help when you need it.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Please focus on yourself. The rest is unimportant.Once you get well you can decide the priorities in your life. You bring joy to so many now its time to take care of you. I was concerned when you said you weren't eating. Thank God you have loved ones surrounding you that noticed and seeked help. You will remain in my prayers.
Love and blessings
Lorraine
Well done for taking the first step and getting help. You do have the courage and the strength to deal with 'Phil', and the love and support of your family, friends, and a huge worldwide community. We're all thinking of you, hugs to you from the UK.
Praying for you and your family Bethany! Hope you are yourself again very soon and looking forward to your posts.
Bethany - I hope that you will find the strength and peace you need to move forward. You are a strong and talented woman and I know you can make it through this.
Trust in God. He is always watching over you. He loves you more than you can comprehend. Read His word. Feel his Spirit.
Praying for you!
Emily
Bethany - You and your family are in my prayers. Take care of yourself!
Bethany: Sending many good thoughts your way. Take care of yourself!
with God's help you can beat this Bethie! you take care and we'll see you back SOON!!!
hugs
From someone who's been there before - YOU CAN DO IT! And you are in the right place. It's definitely NOT EASY, but it is SOOOO definitely worth it. You are in my prayers.
Not having the same family dynamic Bethany has I cannot relate to her depression but I can relate to having depression come and go. It has taken me years to find a method to respond to my sudden downturns and I have an amazing support network. It sounds like Bethany has the loving support she needs and this means so much when you are at your lowest. Please pass on my words of encouragement and support.
I first came across your blog in 2007, shortly after I had a major Nervous Breakdown. I have followed you daily since then.
You are a very strong and beautiful woman who has a family and friends who love her very much. It is OK to ask for help and more than OK to get it. Take the time, the love and support you need to get better. As my Doctor has told me so many times "Everyone needs to paddle their own canoe" Do what you need to do for you, if you don't take care of you, you won't be able to take care of anyone else. You are not the only one, you are not alone.
Take care,
April

I found your blog when my husband was getting ready to start OCS, I was pregnant with my 5th, and YOU had just finished the whole "going officer" thing.
I even remember telling my mom "I love reading her blog! They're about a year ahead of us - and it's nice to see what life is like after OCS...and how another mom does five kids."
I don't read your posts EVERY day - life gets busy as you know! :) But I do find myself "catching up" on you when I get the chance. Plus, I love your work. ...I remember the last General RS meeting - I came home on a spiritual high and decided to check your blog to see if you had anything to say on it - because I wanted to "talk" about how cool it was! And there you were with a beautiful word art "Charity Never Faileth" and I thought, "See, I knew I could count on Bethany." :)
I only know you from your Blog - but I still love you and wanted you to know that you have influence far greater and far more reaching than you may realize.
I look to you as a fellow military wife, as a fellow SAHM of five, and as a fellow sister in the gospel. I love you. :) Prayers and Love!
Bethany, sweetheart, I'm praying and pulling for you. As I read Hilary's blog I got goose pimples because I feel so bad for you. I can't say I know how you feel, but I have been exactly where you are right now, and I think I have a good idea of how you feel. Rest assured, you are at the right place and doing the right thing, and you CAN get through this, especially with your hubby and kids and friends pulling with you. You're in my prayers.
i'm so sorry this is happening to you Bethany... my prayers are with you, hope you get well very soon and be your happy self again!!!
take care and know that many people care for you all over the world.
Bless you!!!
Hi Hilary, thanks for the post. Im sori that Bethany had to be admitted but glad she got the help that she needs. She's lucky to have you as a friend! Hope to hear better news in the future!
Take care and get better, Bethany! We'll be praying for you!
Ellen
Dear Bethany,
at first I visited your blog just for the word art but soon that became a side-issue. Now I read your blog nearly every day just to see what you've been up to ;-)
I usually don't comment (shame on me) but I think now is the time to start commenting.
I wish you all the best and hope you'll be feeling better soon and back home with your husband and children.
Lots of love from Holland
Anne-Marie
Please take care of yourself and know that many, many people are on your side!
Ellen
Bethany my heart goes out to you during this tough time. You have a wonderful friend there to help you out and love you so much. Just know that you are not alone. Too many people these days experience what you are going through and it just makes me sad. You have a such a loving spirit and a joy in life and everything you do. I know that because of your blog posts. And you love your family almost as much as they love you. When you get back on your feet just know that all your blogger friends will still be here. We really come by for your daily drama and the word art is just a bonus - tee hee. I'm sending my love and prayers out to you and your family during this hard time. If you need anything don't hesitate to let me know. mclaughfam@yahoo.com Most importantly remember, You're not alone!!
Hugs - Jen
Thinking of you and keeping you and your family in my prayers!
I am one of your Blog Reader fans and wish you the best. Get the help you need for yourself, you aren't any good to the rest of us if you are not good to yourself. Take care, I will be praying for you.
Bethany, Just remember that "This too shall pass". You take care, and get back to feeling 100% real soon! Your hubbie, kids and friends (Hilary especially) all are there for you as well as your blog readers. Hang in there. I wish you all the best and that you can overcome this and feel better.
To answer a question posted - as a fellow member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bethany's church is absolutely supportive of getting help, medical or otherwise. We believe that God created us, His children, to be happy and become the best people we can be. We also believe that often it is through others that prayers are answered - I know the "others" like Hilary and Brent and the medical staff where Bethany is are there to answer all of our prayers for her.
Wishing the best for you and your family...Be well my sister!!!
Bethany, you are in my prayers!!! I wish I could wave a magic wand and you be all better, because I would if I could. Concentrate on yourself for a while, know you are loved and will be missed!!!!
MANY POSITIVE THOUGHTS TO YOU!
It's tough to be a Mom and wife....I for one have these moments too. Thank God for your family and friends to help you through! (See) you when you get back!
You are all in my prayers. Take care.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.
Please take good care of yourself, Bethany. I know, as a mom, it can be hard because you are focused on everyone else. And, since I am old enough to be your mother, you probably need to get more sleep as well as eat well! Okay enough lecturing. I am so glad that your husband and friends are there for you. May God bless you and yours.
I will not only be praying for Bethany, but also for you and Bret, Hilary as you struggle with this also. I could feel your love pouring off this blog post. I posted on my personal facebook page (no specifics) that a fellow Army wife needed prayers, so that's even more prayers for her.
Sending love and hugs from Fort Hood,
Stephanie
Bethany, I will be praying for you just take care of yourself for a while. Thank you Hillary for the update I am so happy to hear she is getting help we all need some help at one time or another.
Hilary...Thank you for giving us an update on Bethany and for being there for her. As you've taken on additional responsibilities, please remember to be mindful of your own health. Much as you love Bethany, you don't need to be in the hospital bed next to her! And Bethany...please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Like many others, I originally came to your blog for the free word art, but now check in daily to read about your adventures and challenges. Sending positive wishes your way and lots of hugs!
Keeping you in my thoughts.
Bethany- you have a lot of friends who love & care about you! You take care of yourself first, & do what it takes to be the happy person you once were. TY to your hubby & friends for loving you & helping you from a follower. Remember- nothing to be ashamed off- we all have our issues!
Prayers coming your way, Bethany. You know the Lord is on your side. He will guide and help you through this so you may be home quickly with your wonderful family again and doing well yourself.

Bethany you are in my thoughts and I pray you start feeling better soon. I am a long time sufferer of depression and anxiety with years of therapy and medication under my belt. It's a hard thing to admit..being depressed and needing help...I know. I've been there. I know it was hard for you but know you did the RIGHT thing!
You have many, MANY loyal fans who will be here waiting for you when YOU are ready!!
Take care and God bless you and your family and friends!
Kudos to your loving husband and friend who have helped you through this rough patch and who I have a feeling will be there to continue to help you through it all.
Bethany, I am so sorry to hear all of this, but I know you will get through it! You are so blessed to have people who love you so much! Get well soon...you will be missed!!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Bethany. Please know that you will get better, hon....it just takes time. I know, as I've walked that path.
Thank you Hilary, for being there.
Bethany, I've struggled with depression for 13 years, and have been on antidepressents for that long. As I read your posts, I could completely relate to the "funk" you have been in. I haven't read your blog for a while (just had our 5th baby a few months ago, you know how it is!), and I was sorry to read that you've been having such a hard time. I know the feeling of not being able to feel Heavenly Father's love, and feeling worthless or numb. It's REAL. You can't just "snap out of it." I'm grateful that you have good friends and family who love you so much and are doing their best to help you. You wil be in my thoughts and prayers. With all the other comments on here-I echo their sentiments--many of us have been where you are, and there IS light at the end of the tunnel. You will feel better, and there's NOTHING wrong with gettin help. I owe my life to modern medicine. I was embarrassed at first, but, I'm grateful that that resource was available to me. I hope you will be able to say the same soon.
Bethany,
I am so sad to read this. We love you <>. I am sure everything will be like a bad dream soon.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family,
xxooxx

Bethany, I am so sorry to hear about you going into hospital, but I really do hope that it's for the best. I myself suffer from some mental health issues and it's always best to get help, it's just doing it at the right time. You are a wonderful woman and we all love you to bits x
you'll be in so many folkes' prayers, girl, including mine. take care and we'll see you soon!

Bethany, sweetie, I miss you but I'm so pleased to read that you're finally getting help. Please take all the time you need and don't be in a hurry. We're praying for you and your family. It's going to be ok....it really is.
Thank you, Hillary, for keeping us up to speed on Bethany's recovery.
Bethany, know you are in our hearts and prayers. I've got my prayer chain buzzing for you. I've quietly read your blog for a long time now. I truly have enjoyed getting to know you and your family from your words. Hugs to you and your family.
I'm not surprised there's so many comments been left for Bethany, she's one popular and lovely lady.
Sending her the biggest hug imaginable and I hope that she is able to spend some time getting well again. I'm so pleased that she has the support of her family and friends around her at this time too.
And thank you to you Hilary for saying you'll keep us up-dated with how things are.
Love and best wishes to you all xxx
Love your style and your creativity. Looking forward to seeing you again in blogland really soon.
Sending love and hugs and prayers your way...
Bethany, my best wishes for you and your family!
Take good care of yourself - you surely are in good hands. And you have your great husband, family and friends at your side to support you.
Luckily they knew that help was needed, though you didn't want help.
But don't be ashamed because of your "mental disease" (don't know how to call it) and your depression. Almost everyone has to deal with something like this sometimes...
Get well soon!
And Hilary, thank you for keeping an eye on her and being such a great friend to her! That's a wonderful thing!
Best regards from Germany,
Silvie
Bethany, my prayers and love are with you. I am glad that you are being taken care of and will be back to your aweosme self when things have been worked out. I think you are a wonderful person with wonderful talents. Thank you for sharing those talents and your life with us. Rememeber that Heavenly Father loves you (He sent you a wonderful husband, five great kids, and a wonderful friend in Hilary!)and He will never leave you alone. You will get through this. Christ suffered not only for our sins, but for our sorrows, our pains, and our illnesses. Turn to Him and trust in Him and Heavenly Father. They are with you and will never leave you. Love ya!
Tell Bethany we will all be praying for her. I personally look forward to her blog everyday to "hear" her wonderful sense of humor & see all her goofy pics! Focus on getting better so you can lift us up everyday again.
I have had major depression for along time....it takes awhile to get the therapy and then meds right but she will make it thru with flying colors and be happier for it
Oh sweetie,
I am so sorry to read this! Take care of yourself, hon!
Sending you thousands of hugs and kisses. Get well soon!
Tanja
I've posted over on Hilary's blog, but I'll post here too. Give yourself (Hilary) a big hug, and give Bethany one too from me! We all love her and enjoy her posts and I really feel like I "know" her. I have been thinking about the family and praying that they all get through this situation with the strength I know they have. Lots of hugs and prayers!
I'm so sorry that this happened however this is really for the best so that you can take care of yourself and your family. All of your fans out here will miss you but look forward to seeing you back here feeling better. Miss you!
Bethany, as a long time reader of your blog it is upsetting to hear of your current struggle. Hopefully you will take these next days to sleep, eat and get your strength back. You are wiped out and overwhelmed. All these wonderful comments from your peeps proves you are loved and valued. Please accept the help you are being given from your dear Hilary, your hubby and professionals. Things will get better, don't give up hope. Looking forward to seeing your smiling face again!
Hey sweetie! I really care about you and I know you are going to get through this. Lots of love from me here in Germany.
Thank you Hilary for the heads up. Bethany we are all hear for you and praying for you, good luck and God bless. Also praying for your man and kiddies, glad you are where you need to be right now.
Thanks for keeping us up to date, Hilary. Please let Bethany know we are praying for her. I am a retired mental health nurse and I have seen so many people with depression. It robs you of your vitality and hope. She is doing the right thing and with treatment will be back to her old self again.
My prayers are with you and your family during this time. God be with you all.
I add my prayers and good wishes to those many that have commented already. Do what is necessary and important; I have faith that you will walk through this and be ever stronger. God bless you and your family, and may He keep you in his circle of Love.
Kathryn
I absolutely love your wordart but not near as much as I love reading your blog. You inspire me and my heart has ached for you for a while now! You are all in my prayers!
I will be anxiously awaiting up-dates right along with everyone else!

Praying for you Bethany! Take care and know you have hundreds, maybe thousands, praying for you and wishing you the best. Love and Hugs from Tennessee!
Hilary, thank you for being a good friend and writing on Bethany's blog. Knowing what is happening allows us to pray for her.
Bethany, you are in my prayers. I have been where you are, and there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even if you can't see it right now. God is with you, and holds you in the palm of his hand.
I am so sorry that I didn't realize you weren't doing so well Bethany. I have been so busy with school and the kids but that is still no excuse for not keeping up with you. I am glad you are getting help. We all go through periods like this but we have to get help when we can't seem to resurface, which is what seemed to have happened to you. I think, deep down, we all sabotage our own success when we feel like we are undeserving. My pastor told me once, during one of my dark times, that it is harder for us to forgive ourselves than it is for God to forgive us and that is why we do this self sabotaging. I wish you the best and hope to see you soon. You and your family are in my prayers.
Oh no! Bethany, please know how many people love and care about you. I read your blog nearly every day and am just heartbroken to know you are struggling. Your friend Hilary is a great friend and I have no doubt that you have numerous friends (even here online) that want you to get better. Sending hugs.....
Bethany you and your family are in my prayers. You've taken the hardest step which is getting help. One day at a time is all that has to be taken care of. One step, one moment.
Hilary, thank you for the update. You are a great friend and I know Bethany and Brent appreciate everything.
Thanks for letting us know Hilary...Bethany is so special and she needs friends like yourself to help her. Bethany, my prayers and postive thoughts are being sent so do what you have to do to get better. We miss you, but know when you come back, we will still be here, waiting for. Much love!
Bethany, please take care of yourself and take time to heal and get better...You will surely be missed by me and many many others...I will keep you in my prayers as well...we all love ya to death...Keep the faith, the first step to recovery was getting the help you need...Many hugs, Michelle ~ Crafty Scraps
Hi Hillary,
You are truly a god-send angel to Bethany!
Bethany will win this battle against 'Phil', as she has Brent, her lovely kids & great pals like you to help her tide over this difficult period.
Bethany, you are a hero, taking charge of your life by agreeing to seek treatment. We will be behind you all the way, gal!

Bethany, you are in my prayers - I'll be thinking of you. Please take care of yourself, feel better soon.
Take care and get well soon.
Bethany, I hope you can find a bean of sunshine to brighten your days soon.
Thanks Hilary! Tell Bethany that we miss her and are thinking of her. Tell her to take care of herself and feel better soon! Thank goodness that she's getting the help that she needs!
Bethany I am so very sorry that you got so down and felt ready to throw in the towel. You are such a wonderful person and deserve only happiness. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Thanks goodness you have such a great friend in Hilary and a loving, supporting husband. They may have very well saved your life today. We are all grateful that they were observant enough to realized that the time had come to get you help before it was too late. You are definitely not alone. I have been where you are and I know what a dark place it is. Just know that there are a lot of people out there, from all over the world, that love and care about you. We are all praying for you to get better and put this dark period behind you. This world is most definitely a better place because you are in it. It brings tears to my eyes even thinking about you not being here. (((HUGS)))
You can count on my prayers..
I was glad to hear that you are being cared for by your friends and family. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I think that this is a tough time for many many people as stress keeps building and we are aware of all the problems of everyone in the world it seems. Take care. You WILL get better again.
Bethany-
I just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there. Sending you a virtual hug!
Jessica
thinking of you and praying you will pull yourself back into a good place, from one who has been there too...
Bethany please take care of yourself and know that you are loved by your family and your online friends. You are in my prayers. Please be well soon.
Bethany - I am so glad you are getting some help. Do not be ashamed. Some of us just need extra help. I suffer from depression also and struggled with the idea of being on multiple meds forever. But then my best friend explained that I had a disease...just like my sister had diabetes and needed to be on meds her entire life, so did I. Once I looked at it that way, I accepted it and take my meds on a daily basis for years.....it helps!! Hang on there and I will be praying for you!!!
Bethany I have been enjoying your free word art for over a year, thru your blog you have felt like a long distance friend. I pray that you'll recover from this pit of depression soon and be healed in all the places that are broken right now. It's not shameful to be broken, it's just an opportunity for God to heal you which I am praying He does completely. Hugs,
Ohh dear Bethany .. please remember that you are loved for who you are and not for what you do in life. You are a very special person not only to your family but to GOD.
I am praying for you.
much love and hope coming your way from Utah! Please take care of yourself, I don't even know you, but I've been reading your blog for a while now and I think you're awesome!
Bethany, just wanted to let you know that you are in my prayers. I don't even know you, but your honesty with all that you share with us makes me feel as though I do. I'm glad to see your getting help and I believe you are a wonderful example to those who read your blog and feel the same as you... Take care and know how may people are thinking of you and praying for you!
I am so glad to know Bethany is getting the help she needs...depression can be a very hard thing to overcome...much love and hugs Bethany...Teena...Clearwater, Florida.
I don't know where I've been lately, but I just read about what's going on with Bethany. Even though we've never met in person, I like to consider her a friend, and hearing about what she's going through has brought me to tears.
Bethany - you and your family are in my prayers. I know you can get through this trial with the love and support of your Heavenly Father, your family and your friends. I'm glad you're getting the help you need medically. And I hope the love and support of those around you will provide what you need emotionally and spiritually.
I love you - take care.
- Shannon
So glad she is getting the help she needs and I am glad to hear she has such good friends and family who recognize this disease and help her seek help. I know I have been there. She needs you all very much whether she knows it or not. Praying for your healing, Bethany.
