Crap

Hey there, girlies! What up today?? So, I woke up on the wrong side of the sleepy bed this morning, me thinks... I somehow managed to get Tom and the little kids off to school, but Jake was sleepy too. And just wanted to lounge around on the couch. And I couldn't seem to light a fire under his behind. I yelled at him, and poked at him, and prodded him. Darn that child... I even threw a partial cup of water on him! Finally, I gave up, yelled at him, said that he'd BETTER get ready and go get ready and be out the door by 7:55am.

I went to lay down. Because I was feeling like strangling someone. LOL. CPT was long gone. And strangling Jake wasn't an option. hehe. I texted with Kim for a bit, and tried to relax. And dozed off for a minute. And soon, it was 7:55am. And it was super quiet out in the living room. I went out to check. Surely he was gone. Cause it was WAY too quiet. The freakin' kid was sleeping on the couch!!! Oh I was hot! I yelled, and he kinda sleepily stumbled about, scurrying about to throw on some clothes and get out the door. He was gone in 3 minutes and out the door. Sigh. KIDS! He must have made it to the bus ok, because he never came back. LOL.

And I was SO tired. I got a text from my supervisor in Miche, who said that she could meet me at the Outlet mall to give me the catalogs that I'd earned! Score! And a trip to the Outlet mall? Oh yeah! I texted Kim so that she could come too :) But first, Nap... I so needed one.

I slept till around 10am. Because I was so incredibly tired. Maybe I was getting sick. Maybe it was all the exercise. I don't know. But I really wasn't feeling too hot. I woke up, and showered. But as soon as I got my hair washed, the water shut off, mid shower. SO not cool! At least I'd gotten the purple shampoo rinsed out of it... There had been a problem with the water yesterday, too, but it hadn't effected (affected... I can never quite remember which is which).

I got ready real fast, and Kim and I headed out for the day. We were meeting Barbara at the Outlets at Whataburger at 12:30. We had about an hour before and we were gonna go to a different outlet store. One that had kitchen gadgets and hair stuff. I'd never been there before. I was excited :)

See my Miche for today? Classic size, but I can't remember her name. She's retired. SUPER cute, though :)
I found some clearanced bagged up hair stuff, and a few kitchen scrubby things. Kim found a few more things. hehe. It was a good time. I'm gonna have to go back again! They had FUN stuff!

Then we headed to meet up with Barbara. We were STARVING by the time we got to Whataburger. We got the Bacon Whataburger with onion rings. Oh yeah. SUPER yummy! With Diet Dr Pepper. Score it! I was in heaven. hehe.

Soon, Barbara and her 3 kids got there. The little one was in pre-k. The older 3 had a half day, so they were there to shop. We had a good time chatting and getting to know each other. She was SUCH a nice lady! We all ate and chatted, I got the catalogs, and then we went to the outlets. Thanks, Barbara! Hope to see you soon!

First stop, Disney store! Check out the funny hat! hehe.

We went to a few clothes stores, and then ended up at the kitchen store. I liked this cool corn bread pan. Isn't it cute?
And this baby cast iron skillet is precious - hehe :)

I also got a KITCHEN AID!!!! It was the 5 QT, 450 watt, red mixer! All for only $197, after tax and military discount. Booyah! I was pretty excited.

Next stop, Jewelry Box. Lugging that giant mixer around. ROLF! check out the pretty hair clippies that I got!
Then it was back home and time to pick up the kids from the bus stops and schools for Kim and I.
My butterfly ring
I was home for not too long after the bus, and then CPT came home early from work. We hung out and watched a few episodes of Walking Dead. The kids watched some Merlin (some new show they are watching), and we hung and had a nice relaxing evening. We had left over pot roast and veggies for dinner.

Then CPT and I got ready for our date night. We were going to go see "This Means War" at the movies. Movie started at 7:15 and it was pretty close to the house. It was a SUPER good movie. I loved it! Action and funny and romantic comedy all at the same time. Good one!

And check out my purse for the night, too!
After the movie, we drove to the West side to Circle K for a Diet Mt Dew. And it was worth the drive, because we could chat the whole way over and the whole way back. It was a good date night :)

We got back home, put the kids to bed, and CPT went through some of his civil war stuff while I blogged. Tomorrow is Leo's birthday party. Not sure what I'm gonna do for the rest of the day. Night, y'all!

Ha! Lovely WordArt, huh? Click on the link below to go to my account to download the PNG file, and leave some love if you like my work. Thanks!

Darn

New stuff in the store! Yippee!!! Click here to go to the store to give it a look! Go on, I KNOW you wanna!!! :) All layouts by Sharon :)

Morning, girlies. I was SUPER tired when I got up this morning.! I bet it was from swimming the day before, huh? That sure takes a lot out of a body.

After getting the kids on the bus, and CPT out the door, I snapped a few photos of Jake. He looked SO much better. Definitely going to school today. What do you think?

Such a good boy! I spent the rest of the morning designing, and watching "The Walking Dead". For a zombie show, it's actually pretty good. With character development, and meaning, and junk. lol. It's sucked me in - hehe. Now, if they'd just quit showing so much blood.

I was also trying to order my new shells, but my website wasn't playing nicely. First off, my new bank card wasn't working. I think because it was attached to a Savings account too, it was throwing it off. I need to go to the bank and talk to them.

Then, the website kept timing out. I think there were just TOO many people online trying to order new shells today. lol. I finally gave up and decided to just get back to it later today. I threw on some yoga clothes, and at 9:50, Kari and Erin came to pick me up. We were going to the long yoga class today. I hoped I didn't die! hehe.

The class was packed, and we were SO close to the front of the room! SO not cool. I was within inches of the instructor. Again, not cool. I didn't wanna "get my yoga on" with him...

After yoga (which kicked my bootie, by the way), the girls dropped me off at home, and I put on a fresh layer of make-up, switched purses, got new clothes, hung with CPT for lunch for about 30 minutes, then the girls and I went to lunch. We went to Cattle Barron because it had a salad bar, and was fast, and we wanted to go bowling after.

We had Julia and me and Kari and Erin and Kari's friend Jenny (I think that's her name) and Kim (and Corey, who was sick today). We had a good time chatting. Kim, unfortunately, was on the phone with the school most of the time. Some days are like that, you know.

After lunch, we had about an hour before bus time. We drove pack to post, and went to the bowling alley. And had fun bowling a round... frame? Whatever you call it. And yeah, I'm using the bumpers next time. Because I suck. ROFL! But I had fun with the girls. I think that we're gonna try and do laser tag next Tuesday. Branching out, you know. hehe. Trying some new stuff, besides shopping and lunch. Although I AM good at that... Bowling? Not so much.. Look at the score...

Erin had to leave early, and Hannah (3) bowled for her the last few rounds. Or she would have beat me too.... Jenny had the bumper rails up. Maybe I could have "taken" her...
We headed back home, and got the kids from the bus stop. CPT was there (Thursday is family day for the soldiers, and they are supposed to get off early) and he was getting ready for Skating. Joe and Eme got ready, and I kept Jake and Tom and Jim here. I decided to blog and load the store, so that CPT and I could do something at home this evening. Or go out. Whatever we wanted to do. Aren't I smart? hehe.

Oh yeah, check out my cool Demi purse. With the crock handles and a few extra 1 inch caribeaners on it. I just LOVE it! It's so pretty :)

March Frame 2012

OK, so here's a picture of POOR Jake's nose... Poor honey. We did let him stay home. He was all congested sounding anyway. He rested and felt much better in the evening. By the end of Wednesday, he was having a fun time joking about stray elbows, and fat lips, whatever else little boys joke about. Sigh. Men and their wounds... Girls SO wouldn't be joking about such things. ha!
Morning was typical. CPT got up and got off to work. Tom was off to the bus at 7am. I got the kids off to the bus at 7:15am. I sat with one of Kim's sick kids while she ran her non-sick kid to school. Then, I headed to the pool and swam laps with Kari and Erin. 32 half laps, 16 full laps! It was 1 mile!!. And yeah, 1 mile doesn't sound like a lot when you are walking, but in a full sized Olympic sized pool, it's SO big! hehe :)

I probably shouldn't have taken all of my Topomax before going swimming, though. Because at half lap 20, I kinda forgot what I was doing, mid stroke. And then rammed my head into the wall. But I re-focused. And finished off the swim. LOL. At least I didn't drown, right? ha!

I was gonna stop right then, but I pushed on, and finished off the swim. I was so proud of myself when I was done. Unfortunately, I found some cookies that Kim had left in my Suburban yesterday, and ate those. Not the best choice. I blame Kim. Totally not responsible for yummy cookies left in my rig, right?

Jake was watching TV when I got home, and I hopped in the shower, and got pretty for the day. And put on a little jacket thing with sparklies. Just for fun. Because I had it, and wanted to wear it. When I walked in the light, Jake said I looked like a disco ball. ROFL!
I used Kandace today. I thought she matched with my jacket well enough :)

I spent the majority of the day at home. I designed 3 WordArt packs, and watched "The Walking Dead" with Jake. That show is pretty graphic! I enjoyed the premise, but thought it would have been better without all of the blood spatter! Still, it's only PG-14, right? I'm pretty sure I saw that. I may need to re-confirm that. That's the assumption I'm going off of... It seems pretty well done for a Zombie show. A lot of my friends' hubby's watch it.

Anyway, CPT came home for lunch, and we hung with him. Then he left back for work. And I designed some more. He and I had a couples counseling session at 2:30 on the West side. He was coming back here, and we were going together.

We left the house at 2:20, and got there a few minutes late, but it was OK, because the therapist was running late. As usual. All therapist run late, huh? Have y'all noticed that??? Or is it just me and mine?

We had a good session, and got some good handout about identity/love trust/safety and such. Maybe I'll take a picture/scan them tomorrow if I have time. They were very informative. We talked about that, and soon it was time to go. I had to get back to post, drop CPT off, pick up Eme, and take her to Piano at Logan. It was gonna be close.

Maggie had Jim at the park, so first I dropped CPT off at the house, then went and got Jim. Then dropped him off at the house with Tom, then got Eme, then headed to Logan. Yeah, we were about 15 minutes late for Piano. I did manage to get 2 WordArt packs designed before my laptop died, though. I only had about 10 minutes to kill before piano got over and Eme came out, so that was good.

We headed home, and my Miche Party order was on my doorstep! I separated out the orders, loaded them up in the truck, and delivered them to my girls over the next hour. First, to Maggie and her neighbor, then to Kari, then to Julia, and then to Kim. Everyone was SO excited to get their stuff. Then I played with my stuff. And yeah, CPT was home by the time that I got home. And we were SO late for Scouts. And I wasn't ready. And we were rushing. And unprepared. And CPT was a bit upset by my lack of preparation. And it was totally my fault. I admit it. I'd been too busy doing other things. Sorry, CPT. I'll do better prioritizing next week!

We did get to Scouts, though. 10 minutes late, but we did get there. And it was a lame meeting, but we had one. We talked about Pinewood derby cars. CPT talked about how to do the wheels. And the nails. And a few other things. And that was really it. We did a few other things, and called it a meeting. I chatted with a few of the moms, and CPT went to meet with the bishopric.

I eventually went to hang in the lobby. Here's me, and my purse, with my NEW white handles! Aren't they pretty!!! And Angel charmer! And was there FOREVER. Apparently, CPT was getting a calling. Boy Scout Committee Chair. He'll do really well at it. He was even in full Boy Scout uniform tonight. Nice, huh? I think they must have been having a committee meeting or something. Because it was around 9pm or later before we got out of the church.

Luckily, the kids were all doing super good. Had people been fighting, I'd have been going crazy. LOL. As it was, I was just sleepy. We headed home, and FINALLY, my crock pot of meat and carrots and potatoes was done. I'd put it in too late. Tom and I were the only 2 that wanted to eat. So we sat down to eat some. It was SO yummy. I dished the rest of it out for tomorrow's dinner and put it in the fridge. Oh well.

And sat down to blog. It's now 10:23pm. I'm sleepy. CPT is sleepy. Jake and Tom are still wandering around. People are gonna be hurting in the morning. Wednesdays are brutal nights. And Thursdays are SO hard to wake up after such a late night!!!

SUPER cute one, Sharon!!!! Love this one, my dear!!!

Leap Year

Hey there dudettes! Another day in the life of the Harty family. Got up, got the kids off to the bus, chatted with Suzanne, got Jake off to school, saw CPT off to work, and got a text from Kim. She couldn't find her keys. And since I was just sitting around doing nothing, I volunteered to drive her and her kids to school.

I went and grabbed them, and dropped them off at their school, then dropped Kim back off at her house, and I had 10 minutes to change clothes before Kari came to pick me up. I put it into hustle mode!

And soon, we were off to the mountains! It we me and Kari and Kim and Erin. We had such fun. Kim and Kari are awesome hikers, and kicked Erin and my butts. Yeah, I suck. But I did it! I thought I was gonna die, but I did it!
It was SO windy that when we got to the top, we peeked over, then instantly headed back down. We didn't wanna blow away!

It was funny, cause when we headed back on post, we tested out the new post policy, of just one Military ID needed per car. So I decided to "gangster" it. hehe. Lovely, huh? The gate guard didn't even look at me.... Kari's ID was good enough for our whole car.
Kari dropped us all off at my house, I grabbed some keys, and we were off to Walmart. Kari had to go home, get ready, and be to Biggs by noon. Her hubby has his Change of Command today! She was so excited. hehe.

Anyway, we headed off to the Montana Walmart. Because it's the newest and best stocked. Well, in theory, anyway. And had a good time chatting the whole way over. About this, that, and the other thing. I had an extensive list I was working off of. Stuff I'd forgotten from yesterday. And I got most of it. I didn't find the right body wash STILL. Irish Spring Intensify. Crap. I've seen the bottle, so I know that they sell it in El Paso. But I couldn't find it.

After Walmart, we were STARVING. It was noon, so we headed out to lunch. We went to Dominics. It's an Italian place back near post. I went there with Leslie way back when! When she had a baby shower for Morgan. Remember that??? That was forever ago! hehe :)

It was super yummy! Kim got the Lasagna, and Erin and I got the Soup, Salad, and pasta. I loved it! Definitely what I needed after hiking - ha! We ate and chatted and totally enjoyed ourselves! AND, they had a 20% off military discount! We'll DEFINITELY be coming back there again!

After lunch, we went to Big Lots, well, because we haven't been in a while. I didn't get much ,but had fun looking around. Oh wait, they DID have a sun shade for my Suburban! Ha! I looked for a present for Leo (his B-day is Saturday), but didn't find one. So we went to Fallas next. We still had time before kids got out of school.

Kim found one that she wanted to give to Leo. Erin found a few things for Easter, and some clothes for her boys, and Kim found a few things. Me? Nope. Amazing, huh? hehe. I had fun looking around, though. Then, we headed back to post. AND, Kim and I were SO excited to discover how to open the little half hatch part of my trunk! You push the keyed part!!!! Who knew! I've only had it for almost a month!!!! ROFL! I'm such a dork... That was exciting, though.

I dropped Erin and Kim off at their houses, then went to the Shoppette in search of some Body Wash. Nope. What about the PX? I drove there. Nope. Um, yeah. Time to change the game plan. I bought CPT 2 different kinds of Irish Spring body washes, and decided that he was gonna have to like one of those. No more traipsing around El Paso looking for Body Washes. LOL.

BUT, I did find a present for Leo. A model Tank that he could build. I figured that it was something that Joe would really like. And Leo is about the same age. About 6 months older. And I found some stuff for organizing the electronics closet, and threw some of those in the cart, too. Today was the day to fix that.

I had just enough time to make it home to get the kids from the bus. We headed home, and they helped me get stuff unloaded from the truck. We had a snack, and then got the shelved installed in the electronics closet. I forgot to take a picture, but I'll try and remember to do that tomorrow. It looked REALLY good! We did some more cleaning, then CPT came home. We had dinner, and I did some designing.

The kids watched some TV with CPT, and I hung with them for a bit, and did my own thing for a bit too. The kids played on the Wii for a while, too. But it just sounded like fighting to me. I'm not crazy about listening to Tom and Jake play Wii. Big kids complaining about people/games/controllers cheating... So not cool. Mostly Jake, I think. Boo.

At bed time, Jim came in and told CPT and I that Jake wasn't letting him use the bathroom. That he said that it was ONLY Jakes. So CPT went to deal with it. And Jake started to get physical with CPT. Not a good thing. A tussle proceeded, and Jake ended up with a bloody nose. And he totally freaked out. CPT didn't hit it. It wasn't anything like that. Jake was trying to push CPT, and CPT was trying to lead Jake away from the bathroom. Jake ended up catching an elbow to the face, though, in his struggle. Sigh. That's what happen when 2 "grown" men tussle.

Joe freaked out. He thought that CPT was gonna hurt him too. Sigh. So then I had to explain to poor Joe how CPT wasn't trying to hurt Jake. How he was actually trying to make it so that Jim and Joe could use the bathroom too, by making Jake share. The fact that Jake was ranting and raving and swearing and having a complete meltdown about how his dad had hit him didn't help matters...

We finally got everyone settled and calmed down. Joe went upstairs to sleep with Tom. Jake cooled off and went to lie down in his bed. Eme went to bed. Jim fell asleep. CPT got ready for bed. I went to check on Jake. His nose was swollen and HUGE. Sigh. He couldn't go to school with a nose that big. He was gonna have to stay home for a day and let the swelling go down. Sick day? I think so...

I explained to him how his dad REALLY hadn't meant to hurt him. How he was just trying to move him out of the way, and how he'd caught a misplaced elbow. Really. I think he believed me. And I asked if CPT could come and look at the nose. He finally agreed.

CPT came and he and Jake had a long talk, and it went really well. CPT apologized for hurting him, and it sounded (I wasn't in the room), from what I could hear, to be a really good talk. No swearing. No shouting. They talked about needing to get some better methods of communication going. And about how it REALLY was an accident, Jake getting hurt. I think he finally believed him.

Then, Joe came down, and he and his dad talked. And finally got it all sorted out. Joe was feeling a lot better too. He just got spooked with all of the blood from Jake's bloody nose. It was pretty nasty. CPT gave Joe a father's blessing, and then he went to bed.

I started blogging, then I got a text from my friend from the other ward, Danielle. She wanted to know if they could borrow the Raingutter Regatta track. Sure! So I went to get it all laid out for them, then waited in the driveway for her to come over. We chatted for about 20 minutes in the cold (hehe), then I finished up my blog.

It's now 10:20pm, and my house is dark and quiet. Except for the cricket under the dishwasher. It's singing me a song. And the snoring dog. And the fan from my room. It's super loud. OK, so maybe my house isn't very quiet. Well, that's why I have the super loud fan, right? lol.

Look! It's a layout by Sharon!!!!!! I'm SO excited! hehe :) Now, to think of a theme for March, and to actually execute it.... LOL :) Anyway, LOVIN' the layout, Sharon, my dear!!! Thanks!
