No Rest for the Wicked

So I went to bed early-ish last night, and actually got some good sleep. So when my alarm went off at 6:45am, I hopped right up, and got in the shower. And was able to get ready and pretty and kids out the door, and me out the door on time! Go me!

I dropped Jim off at Daycare, then headed over to the ACS building for Military Spouse Appreciation Day. Terra met me there, bearing gifts! Awe, thanks hon! LOVE me some DDP!
We registered, and were given bags with TONS of goodies in it! WE had a great time looking through them and finding all the good stuff :) Like this. A ray of sunshine. hehe :) I got a kick out of that one!
And these magnetic clips, aka, hair clippies. ROFL! If I'm bad, just back me up against a fridge, and I'll be stuck - ROFL!
This little dude is cute! ha!
And then we broke off into classes. Terra and Laurie and I had all the same classes. And our new friend, Laura, had all the same classes, but the last one. She was pretty cool! Fit in just nicely with us :)

Our first class was Cooking Thin. And the lady who showed us stuff kept telling us the benefits of Vegan diets. Yeah, I don't think that's for me. I really don't... But the stuff we had sure tasted good! Potato pancakes, mango smoothie, and tortilla soup :)

Terra and I with our Mango Smoothie - SUPER good!
And check out this SUPER cool cake from ACS :)
Next class, Hollywood Makeover!
And there weren't enough stations for us. Hmpf! Terra and I sat on the couch, waiting for our turn, then got in to do our nails...

And I got one of those tickles in my throat, and my eyes were watering SUPER bad, and my nose was running, and I kept coughing. It was horrible. hehe. Poor me :)My nails did look pretty when I was done, though. We had the option of having a Mary Kay make over, but I'd already done my make up, and the room smelled of fingernail polish, and it was too much for me to take. So I opted out of it.

And they had one guy there doing massages. 10 minutes. OR, you could get a coupon for an hour massage at the college. Um, yeah, no brainer. I took the coupon. Laurie didn't hear that part, so opted for the 10 minute massage.

There prices are pretty reasonable, don't you think??? hehe :)
And after this class, we all met out in the main room again, and had lunch. They had these cute boxes with all of our lunch inside of them. Sandwiches, chips, cookies, and cake. Thanks, ACS ladies!
And this dude sang to us.....
And I sang too, from the back, into my pen...

The next class was Painting like Picasso. The teacher showed us how to take a strip of Linoleum, flip it over, paint it, then seal it with Modge Podge (or whatever it's called). It was really pretty cool. I decided to do a race track for my boys with it.
Laurie wanted a race track too,

Terra had to leave after the 3rd class to go and pick up her mom at the airport. She was coming for a visit :) FUN! So Laurie and I headed for Scrapbooking class. And we got the SAME kit as the time that Terra and I went scrapbooking. Hum... Maybe I'll give this one to Emeline and let her play. She'd LOVE that ;)

Here's me. LONG out of DDP. This is just water....
Laurie and I, deciding that it was SO nap time!

Our teachers

After the 4th class, we met back in the main room, and did door prizes. I wanted to win something, but didn't. That's ok :) Laurie won a free golf cart rental. ROFL! I guess I could have won that, right? hehe. I was ok with not getting anything :)

Laurie and I headed out around that time, opting out of the Zumba class. My older kids were at home, and I needed to get Jim from Daycare.

So I got my voucher for Childcare, and headed over to the CDC to get Jim. He'd made me a Mother's Day card (SO cute!) and had had a wonderful day. Good!

And we stopped by the Commissary real fast for dinner and snacks for the T-Ball game. Then headed home.

We had time to do a quick round of chores, and cook burritos for dinner. Then Joe and Jim and I loaded up in the car, and Jake and Tom and Eme played electronics nicley at home, and we went to the games.

Joe's game was at 5:30 at Logan. I was able to stay till around 6pm, then Jim and I loaded up in the car and headed back to Post. I dropped Jim and his snacks off with his coach at 6:25pm, then headed back to Logan. And caught the last 5 minutes of Joe's game. Then loaded back up in the car, and headed back to main post to Jim's game. Seriously!

But, a good thing, we realized that Nicole's little boy is on the SAME team as Jims! Sweet! She lives just a few blocks away from me. Another mom to help me - hehe. Her hubby deployed with Captain America, so she's in the same boat as I am :)

EVentually, it was 7:30, and it was time to go home. Kids got snacks, and we loaded up, and drove back home. I had the kids do another round of chores (you'd think my house would be clean with the amount of time we spend cleaning.... sadly, no...), then we all went in my room and watched a movie. And it's now 8:40pm, and I'm sleepy. I think I did too much today. I don't think I rested NEARLY enough... I pushed it too hard.

Luckily, there's NOTHING on my plan for tomorrow. Nothing at all. I plan on sleeping and lounging around ALL day long. Well, that's my plan, anyway... We'll see how it goes :)

May Calendar

New stuff in the store!!! Go and have a look. I know you wanna :) Click HERE to go to my store :)

Well, the day did NOT go as planned.. hmpf! I woke up at 6:45am to make sure that the kids were awake and getting ready, then Jake went to school at 7am, and Tom and Joe at 7:30. Yup, not Eme. She was sick too. Eme and Jim watched cartoons all morning in my room, and I just slept.

Jim brought me food and drink, and I slept some more. Until around 10:45am. Yeah, it was bad. And I just barely made it to the bus with Jim. And I slept some more. And we watched more TV. It was a super relaxing day...

Here's Eme and I. See, we're sick...

At some point (yeah, the day kinda all meshed together), Amanda brought us over some Chicken Soup from Costco. It was SUPER yummy! Thanks, my dear, for taking care of us!
Here's me RIGHT before going to pick up Jim from the bus... And I thought I was feeling a little bit better. Nope...

The kids came home from school at 3:30pm, and I had them grab a quick snack. Whatever it was that they wanted. I didn't really care. And then the UPS man came, and I got FLOWERS!! From my sweetie, for Mothers Day. Thanks, honey! I love you!

I asked Maggie to drop Tom off at his Baseball game, and I rested some more. Yeah, theme for the day, right? hehe.

And I watched more TV and slept more. Then, at 6:45pm, we loaded up in the truck, and headed out to pick up Tom from his game and Jake from the youth center. And was feeling a tad bit better. Just a tad.

We got Tom from his game, and he informed me that his coach said that I needed to take a parents class. Crap. Totally forgot about doing that. I played up the sick card (yeah, didn't need to play too much), and they just told me the rules real fast (no smoking, no alcohol, no pets, don't be a jerk), signed my card, and we were good to go. Thank goodness! I don't think I had the energy to sit through a class. As it was, I used up all my energy walking over to talk with the coach.

We drove over to Biggs, where the Youth Center is, picked up Jake, and headed back to main post. And stopped at the Shoppette so I could get a soda. I sent Tom in for a 44 oz Diet Coke. That's all they have... And they were out of 44 oz cups, so I got a 32 oz-er. Sigh. Oh well. It would have to do.

Joe and Jake were fighting SO bad that I was about going nuts. Joe was being annoying, and Jake wasn't dealing with it too well. So he kept turning around and whacking him. When I got within sight of the house, I stopped the truck, and made Jake and Joe get out and walk the rest of the way home. hehe. Jake wasn't upset, but with the Autism, he's just not gonna let someone annoy him when he can make it stop. Sigh. THAT'S why I need an IEP. What's the school gonna do when he gets annoyed with someone at school and punches them because they were bugging him? Or argues with a teacher because what she says don't make sense to him?

We got home, and I went in and laid down. And started to load my store. Slowly. Because I still felt like crap. But I got it done. Jake and Tom helped out with the little kids. Tom put them to bed and Jake walked the dog, then, by 8:15pm, everyone was in bed, and Jake and Tom and I watched an episode of Chuck. And it's now 9:18pm. And I'm tired, if that's even possible. I'm all sweaty, so I think my fever may have broken...

I'm gonna go take some Niquil, and sleep. Tomorrow is Military Spouse Appreciation Day, and I'm NOT missing it. Jim is going to Daycare, and I'm spending the entire day with the girls. PLEASE feel better! hehe :)

It's SO not Sharon's fault that there's no preview. She keeps asking for them WAY in advance. And I'm a slacker. OK, so really, I'm sick. Let's just blame it on the sickness. Because I don't wanna be labeled as a slacker....

Remembrance

Well, I'd like to report that I felt great today, and that it was a marvelous day. But I don't. So I won't. I was still sick when I woke up. Nasty. But the sore throat was gone. And in its place was a HORRENDOUS head cold... I felt like someone put a plastic bag over my head and started hitting it. Sigh.

Jake's autism test was at 9am, so he got to sleep in. And I did a little bit, too. We got up at 8am, threw on some clothes, had breakfast, and took Jim to Laurie's house at 8:30am. Then headed over to the test. Luckily, it was VERY close to post.

And were there for the REST of the morning. And it took FOREVER! I filled out TONS of paperwork. Different Autism and Asperbergs screening forms. And after about an hour of filling out forms, the psychologist took Jake back for about a 30 minutes interview. And I waited. Then we both waited for another 30 minutes, and it was my turn. And it lasted for about 45 minutes. LONG meeting.

The longer it went on, the more sick I started to feel...
At 1:15pm, we were FINALLY done. And the dude didn't sound too hopeful that we'd get an IEP. He said that Jake was boarderline Autistic. That mostly, he was just Socially Awkward. And that there wasn't anything to be done for that. Nice.

He said that we should have a decision by the end of the month, though. Well, that's good, at least. I don't know what more I can do. If the school deems him "non autistic", there's nothing more I can do..... Crap....

We swung by Burger King and got a Wopper Jr and Fries and Drink, then I took him up to school. And I had about an hour before I had to get Jim from the bus. And yeah, I totally slept for that hour.

I got Jim from the bus at 2:30pm, and attempted to nap for about 30 minutes. But yeah, it wasn't happening. I just kept thinking about all the things I had to do for the rest of the day. The most pressing was to prepare for the Achievement day activity that night. I had supplies to buy. So Jim and I loaded up in the truck and headed off post to Walmart.

And I got the papers and hole punches and pipe cleaners and a few other things that I needed. And I told him that he could have a car. So I we went and picked one out, but didn't have much time. Half way to the front of the store, he changed his mind, and wanted a different car. But we didn't have time to go back. So I said he could have the car in his hand, or no car. And he completely lost it.

I think he's not feeling well. Like me. Because he usually doesn't have a melt down of this magnitude. It was quite spectacular, let me tell you. People from 4-5 isles away could hear his waiting and antics... Finally, I just took the car away from him all together, which he wasn't so happy about either. Kids. They're SO much fun...

We paid, loaded up in the truck, and headed home. And he informed me that I was a really really really really really really really really really really really mean mom. Nice...

Yeah, he totally fell asleep before we got home. And ended up napping in the truck for about an hour in the driveway. Don't wake a sleeping 5 year old. It doesn't end well....

I came inside, worked on my craft project for a few minutes, and told the kids to find what they could for dinner. And I laid down for a little bit, taking some non-drowsy meds. And yeah, I still felt like crap...

At 5:10pm, I mustered what little energy I had, loaded the kids up in the truck, and drove across post to baseball practice. I dropped Tom off at George Moore fields first, then went to Logan for Joe's baseball practice. Jake and Eme and Jim and I hung out while Joe practiced. I napped in my chair (yeah, that was real high class looking), and worked on my craft project for a little bit...

Then it was time to go. We drove back to Tom's field, picked him up, and went to church. We were there about 15 minutes early. Which gave us time to set up. We pulled in some extra little tables, and the girls helped to get everything laid out and organized.

It was a SUPER laid back meeting. Probably because I was all drugged up. hehe. We made the flowers for mothers day, and had prayer, and ate cupcakes. Super low key... But I think the girls liked it.

At 8pm, I gathered up the kids and headed for the truck. It was around 8:15pm before we had everyone, and we headed out. And I barely made it home. I was SO sleepy and out of it. Maybe I shouldn't have gone... Oh well...

We got home, and Jake and Tom helped me out BIG time. They helped the kids get ready for bed, and get a snack, and finished up homework. And made me some herbal tea. I retreated to my room, and blogged. And took some Niquil. I know there's not much time left before the meds kick in. hehe. It's now 9:06pm. And I'm SO ready for bed. I can feel a headache trying to emerge. And the head cold is totally kicking my butt...

I have WAY to much to do this week to be sick. It's SO cramping my social calendar... At least I can still joke, right?

I love it Sharon!!!
