January 2012

Hey there, you guys! Whats up?? I went to bed around 1am last night, and woke up around 9am. And got out of bed around 10am. I was a bit groggy feeling, but wanted to do something productive today. So I started cleaning my room. I worked hard, and got all of the laundry sorted and hung up! So my bed is cleared and no more clean clothes anywhere they don't belong! Woohoo for me!

The kids were playing electronics, and being good. Around noon-ish, Kari texted to ask if she could borrow the dog. ROLF! What a silly request. I asked if she needed something to poop in her house or eat her trash. hehe.

She said that Josephine wanted to walk a dog, and Boxer sounded like a good choice. So, of course, I said yes. And came with her and Kari and Leo. Here me with my WILD and crazy hair. hehe :)
Come on, Boxer, lets go!
Josephine did really good most of the time walking Boxer. Until the 1/2 way point, when he saw another dog, and ran off to play with him. Luckily, the other dog was non-aggressive, so they just smelled each other. It's when the other dog is aggressive and starts fighting that we run into troubles. But the other owner grumped at us, and it was a bit uncomfortable. We got Boxer back, and let a grown up walk the dog the rest of the way...

We walked to the Nativity scene, and Josephine wanted to pretend that she was Mary. She's so cute :)

We went home, and I spent the rest of the day with the kids. We cleaned up a few times, and mostly just hung out. Crystal is moving in a few days, and Rachel (Jim's age) and Heidi (Eme's age) wanted to come and play. So I had extra kids at the house.

But then Jim didn't wanna play with Rachel, and she was SO upset about it. So I texted Kari and asked if Josephine could come and play with Rachel. So she and Leo came over, and the little girls played for about 30 minutes, but then Rachel was still sad, so she went home... But then, what was I gonna do? I can't really force Jim to play with someone, right?

Anyway, Josephine was still here, and I was just finishing up some designing. And I was a bit sleepy. She had come to see what I was doing, and asked if I'd turn on a movie. Snuggle on the couch with Josephine and watch a movie? Oh yeah, sounded good to me. hehe.

We turned on Rio, and the little boys came in and out and watched with us. Mostly, they were watching Americas Funniest Home Videos in the other room. But Josephine and I watched the whole movie. It was a good time.

I sent Kari's kids home after the movie, and my kids had leftovers for dinner. Then I went out for some errands with Kim and Tim. And Kim's Austin came to play. And Jake went to play at Leo's house. Kid swapping, you know...

First, we went to the barber so Tim could get his hair cut. Then, we went to Big Lots. I've been going through SO many batteries lately, it's not even funny. Those kids and their Wii remotes... So I got some rechargeable ones. And I'm gonna warn the kids with punishment of death (ok, so maybe not...) to NOT throw them away or lose them! hehe :)

We stopped at Howdys for a drink.... But not the one I really wanted... I got a flavored water instead...
Next, we headed over the mountain to the Outlet stores. We went to a few places, and Kim found this cute little shopping cart at the Cooking store. She thought it would be cute on her counter. I thought it would be funny with a sock monkey inside of it! hehe.
We went to the Watch store, and to the Disn ey store, to Hot Topic, and to the coach store, and to Jewelry Box, and finally to Areopostale. Or however you spell/say it. I say it wrong. I don't care. hehe. I wanted a new sweatshirt for tomorrow. A cheaper one. We were gonna just pop our head in and see if they had any sales. And they did! I got one for only $15. And a t-shirt for $5! Oh yeah :)

Tim was hungry, so we went to grab something to eat. I wasn't overly hungry, and neither was Kim. So we got one meal to share. And each got a shrimp cocktail. They were yummy. Not like that one place on Montana, but still good. Minus the Avocado. Had to give that part away. Yucky!
We had steak and shrimp and veggies and a roll. And it was super yummy! We ate, and visited and played "Family Feud" on Facebook. We're such dorks.

Afterwords, we headed home, and took Rim Road home. It's pretty that way at night. They dropped me off, and we decided to let Austin spend the night with Joe. They were excited. I got the kids to bed, and started blogging and watching an episode of X-Files.

Tomorrow, I'm dividing up my kids with friends/brothers, and Kim and Tim and I are going to the Sun Bowl! I'm excited, even if I don't necessarily love football. I like live sporting events. They are a good time. And hanging with Friends is good, right? hehe :) Isn't that a game? LOL!

Anyway, the game is during the day, so I'll be home with the kids for New Years Eve. We are just gonna be at home. Church isn't until 12:30pm on Sunday, so we can stay up late and not worry about it. Nice, huh? hehe.

Raining Cats and Dogs.

New WordArt for the week, girls! And I even did an Alpha, of sorts! Kinda! I figured you could use it for the initials of your kids. Sharon used it to spell out a word. That works too! hehe :) All sorts of uses. It sure did take a long time to make, though. hehe. Click HERE to go to my store :)

Morning, you guys! So, the lipstick was still kinda on when I woke up - ha! It stained my lips. Score-it! hehe :) I woke up around 9am, and Captain America was on Facebook. So we decided to Skype for a bit. Love that boy, and can't WAIT till he gets back home. I think the closer it gets, the longer the days seem. I sure hope this month goes by fast!!!

We chatted, and the kids got to chat too. And soon, it was 11 something. Too late for a shower. But yeah, I couldn't go like this either...
So I pulled my hair back, put on some lip gloss, some eye liner, and called it good :)
I got the kids ready, and we headed out to lunch. We were meeting Kari and Kids and Kim and Kids at CiCi's pizza. the All-You-Can-Eat pizza buffet. They had salad there, so I'd be good. Cause I was trying to do good on the diet! I'd had yogurt and fruit for breakfast, and was ready for a good salad for lunch :)

We got there a few minutes early, and Kari said to stall for a bit. She wasn't ready yet. So we went to Family Dollar. And yeah, my kids weren't very "stall-able" in that store. So we drove to CiCi's and just waited in the parking lot for about 10 minutes.
Kim and her crew got there, and then we went inside. Kari was about 10 minutes behind us. The kids had SO much fun eating pizza. hehe. There's a reason we don't go to Buffets with the kids often. They eat WAY too much :)

Joe's favorite, Macaroni and Cheese pizza!
Eme is SO cute!
My salad, with the dressing on the side to dip my fork into. It was good :)
Jake was happy today :)
Tom even sat at the "8th grade table" for a bit - hehe.

Joe is a cutie!
Leo
Justin
Kari and Kim
And me

It was fun to sit and have the kids entertained, and to be able to chat with the girls. And to know that the kids were all big enough to be self contained. REAL nice - hehe. We stayed for a bit, then all packed up and headed home.

I told the kids that they had to get chores and rooms done before they could have privileges. And Jake? He had to get fresh clothes done before he could have free time. Which doesn't mean taking a shower and putting back on the same old dirty nasty clothes.... So gross! So he did some laundry, got some FRESH clothes on, did his chores, and headed to Justins house.

I FaceTime'd and talked on the phone with Andrea in South Carolina for about 2 1/2 hours today, too! It was SO much fun. She's truly one of my best friends ever. Love ya, girl! It was a BLAST! Of course, by the time we were done talking, the kids were out of control again. hehe. And the living room was messy.

Jim had fallen asleep on the couch, and I had Joe clean the living room. I cooked some pasta and sausage for dinner. And some steamed veggies and some talipia fish for dinner. It was good! But I was still hungry... Cause it was a lot less food than my body was used to.

Here's me drinking some flavored water, trying to get full. Yeah, it's not working... I went in my room to load my store, and to finish designing, and to blog around 6. And here it is, 8:13pm. Early, for me. Yeah! I'm gonna go put on some jammies, and watch some X-files, then go to bed early. Cause if I'm sleeping, then I'm not eating, right? That makes sense. hehe :) We'll see how that one works out for me :)

Sly as a Fox

Hola, peeps! What's up?? Surviving Christmas break? Ha! No really! hehe :) We're doing ok here. I slept in until around 9:30 or 10am. And texted with Kim for a bit before I got out of bed. Then had to hustle in order to get Jake to therapy by 11 am.

I left Tom in charge of the other kids, and locked up all the electronics in my room. So the kids could clean, or could do something non electronic - ha! Cause they had no access to the "good stuff". ROFL!

The session went well. The therapist said that when kids grow, their meds may be messed up. But to wait and see if he levels out after school starts back up again. It could just be that Jake's schedule is messed up, and that there's too many people in the house for him. Makes sense to me.

I designed for a while while Jake was in his session, then we headed home. He tried to convince me to take him to Taco Bell, but I knew that I wanted to take the kids to CiCi's either today or tomorrow, so we didn't need both - ha!

We got home, and the cleaning began. The house was a little bit better than when we'd left, but only a little bit. For the next few hours, the kids kinda cleaned. And kinda didn't. I cleaned, and didn't really push them too hard. If they wanted electronics back, then they'd clean, right?

Since I don't have music on my new iPhone yet, I plugged in Captain America's phone, and cranked the tunes. And we cleaned. And danced. And the kids fought. But I just cleaned and danced. And sang. Can't forget the singing part. I put away the Christmas tree, and moved the Cardinals Christmas tree into the living room, into a place of prominence. I figured, that since the big tree didn't have ornaments on it anyway, might as well put it away. Ha!

Here's what it looked like when we were done. Far from perfect, but a lot better than what it was before...

I put up the Cardinals outside with Tom. We made a good team. hehe :)
And I took some pictures of the Cardinals tree shrine...

I've sense moved the warmer. It's over by the TV. It was on sale after Christmas! Sa-weet!

Crystal and her family are moving to Ft Sill (same as Amanda!) in just a few days, and Nick (Jake's friend) and Heidi (Eme's friend) came over to play. Jake hurried and cleaned up his part of the house, and Nick and Jake headed out to see if Justin (Kari's son) could play. Or whatever high school kids that age do.

And Eme finished her part, and she and Heidi went upstairs to Eme's room to play. They had a good time. Tom finished up his part, and got his electronics back too. Which left Joe and Jim. Who still needed to clean their room. And the bathroom. And yeah, it so wasn't happening... Fine with me...

I designed for a while, and watched a few episodes of X-Files whiles the kids did whatever they were doing. We ate whatever we could find for dinner, since we were running low on groceries. Nick came back to get Heidi, and Jake was asked to spend the night over at Justin's house. Sounded good to me :)

And at 7pm, I left Tom in charge, locked up the electronics in my room (minus what Eme and Tom already had earned), and walked to Kim's house so we could go grocery shopping at Walmart. I was tired of hearing how we were out of food. Ha! Fine, I'll go get some :P I told the little boys to clean their room and do their chores. But highly doubted that they'd do it. We'll see... No chores, no electronics...

Check out my Cardinals in the dark!
And this I thought was weird. I could see into my across the street neighbors garage, and they were HOARDERS! OK, so not really, but they really had some stock piles going - hehe :)
Kim and I headed out to Walmart, and loaded up the cart. Yeah, looking back, we totally should have gotten 2 carts. But we didn't. And it was SO full by the time we were done - hehe.

Check out the clam juice! Sounds SO gross! She assures me that the Shrimp stuff she makes with it is super tasty... OK, I trust ya - hehe :)
Are you freakin' kidding me??? Pickle Juice ice pops? I wonder what the other parents would think if I showed up to a sporting even with THIS as snacks for the kids.... ROFL!
Same isle... Bacon popcorn. Um, ok.

After getting all the food we possibly could into our cart, we headed to the Christmas clearance. You think I need it? Nope? OK. hehe :)
LOL Kim!
This one is for you, Amanda!!! Kim pretending to be short behind the cart - hehe :)
We walked around a bit after the Christmas section, and made sure that we'd gotten everything we needed, then went to pay. And yeah, we were in line forever. But then, it's Walmart, right? That's how it goes...

While at Walmart, Kim and I decided to get serious about our nutrition. She so doesn't need to. She said she's gained 5 lbs over the holidays. She's so tiny... BUT, if it helps me get my eating under control, then I'm all for it! I made sure I got the right foods, and everything. Plus, I committed to NO SODA for at least a week. We'll see how it goes after that - hehe.

We loaded up the car, and drove home. Tom and the little kids were still awake, and helped me carry in the groceries. Kim headed home, and I worked for about 20 minutes to get all the groceries put away. It takes FOREVER sometimes - hehe.

While at Walmart, I bought 2 different kinds of new lip glosses. Here's a combo of both. What do you think???

I put the kids to bed at 10:30pm, and I started blogging and such. And watched a few more episodes of X-Files. I'm now on season 3. I've still got this pesky lingering headache. I so don't like it... I know that the Topomax works, if I take a larger dose... But then, it makes me dumb. And I SO don't wanna be dumb. I wonder what is worse. Pain or stupidity? Some days - ha!

Maybe I'm just stressed about getting my house ready for Captain America to come back home. It's messy right now. We have too many things in too little of a space. I need to go through and "trim the fat". And it's hard with kids under foot. I'll have to wait till they go back to school. Which isn't until next Wednesday. Still, I should have time to de-clutter before Captain America gets back. One of these days, the army will give us an exact date that he'll be home. For now, we just have a time frame... In my head, I've pushed the date back to the extreme far end. So that I won't be disappointed if it's later when he comes back than the earliest anticipated date. Know what I mean? Are you like that too? I'm just SUPER excited about him coming home.

Tomorrow, my plan is to sleep in, shower, and take the kids to CiCi's pizza with the girls. Should be a fun time. It's Thursday, right? This vacation is kicking my butt. I don't even know what day it is anymore. LOL :)
