FARMERS MARKET time!!! I put ALL of my WordArt Packs (over 200) in the Farmers Market section of Scraporchard, which means what??? It means that you can grab my WordArt packs for only $1.00 a pack! Dang, that's a good price :) There are PAGES and PAGES of deals. But hurry, it closes Thursday night :)

EDIT: Apparently, I have TOO many WordArt packs in the Farmers Market, and it can't handle all of my awesome-ness - ROFL!!! So, I've been asked to remove about 1/2 of them from the Farmers Market. All of my new stuff, from November on, should be in there. Well, it SHOULD. I can't actually get into the market to fix it - hehehe. Sigh. Again, why can't life just be easy - hehe

Next, here's the FUN NSD activities we have planned over at the Orchard:

Well, I took my truck to the Army Auto Craft place yesterday to see what was wrong with it. I was terrified that it would die on the way there, but it seemed to be running fine. I had the stroller in the trunk, just in case :) Sigh. The things we do....

Anway, they said that it was gonna be $500 worth of repairs. Well, I don't have that in my budget all at one shot, so I asked him what we could put off till the 15th, and still get my truck running. The distributor was shot, and it needed new coil and ... um... something else distributor related. Yeah, like I know what a distributor is - ROFL!!! All I know, is that it's gonna cost me $300 to get a new one put in. I THINK I have that, or will on the 30th or 1st, depending on when the paycheck clears. Only a few more days to go until I get my truck back and running.

Oh yeah, and the other $200 repair was something that Captain America can fix himself, so we're gonna hold off on that. He'll be home by the end of May, and if we can wait till the 15th, I think we can wait 10 more days and save $180. Yeah, I think we'll do that :)

So what do you guys think about this Swine Flu thing? Scary, isn't it. We live SO close to Mexico, I'm a tad bit concerned. Of course, I don't leave my house. But then, my kids do, so I guess I'm not out of the loop. Dang, and I thought I had such a GOOD excuse to be a recluse - LOL!

So, I'm considering driving my truck to the grocery store this morning. The guys at the shop said that it only dies when the part gets hot. Well, if I go in the morning, the sun hasn't heated things us yet. Right? And it'll sit for an hour at the Commisary parking lot, so it'll get cool again. Sigh. Or should I just be safe and go after my truck is fixed on Thursday. I could drive it to the place, then walk to the store. I don't have that much stuff to get. It would fit in the stroller, I bet. Maybe I'll do that. We don't NEED milk or bread, right? Or fresh fruit or veggies. Surely we can get by with what's in the cupboards for 2 days. We're tough :) Its not like we're gonna waste away into nothing - ROFL! IF ONLY I had that problem - hehehe.

While this wasn't intended to be a Twilight WordArt, it fits, don't you think? I can just see layouts with gorgeous Edwards photos.....sigh.....Edward :) Oh wait, did I say that out loud?? Sorry, honey. I still like you better :)

Click HERE to go to scraporchard to grab the zip file, and remember, you've gotta be logged into the gallery in order to get the download :) Thanks!

Look, I scrapped! AND, I found this FANTASTIC glitter style FOR FREE, on Michelle Batton's blog. I really like them :) And they worked just PERFECTLY for my layout :)

FARMERS MARKET!!!

OK, you guys! NOW is the time :) The Farmers Market is turned on over at Scraporchard, and ALL, that's right, I repeat, ALL of my WordArt packs are only $1.00 each!

I have 217 different WordArt packs. Holy cow! That's a TON of WordArts. All you have to do is decide which ones you want - LOL!

So, hurry, 'cause the market will be closing Thursday night :) Spread the word! hehehe :)

EDIT - apparently, I had TOO much WordArt in the Farmers Market, and it keeps crashing - SO, anything I designed after November should still be in there :) Sigh. Sorry about that, girls!

Click HERE to check it out :)

I Miss You

First off, a little promoting :) NDS is May 2nd this year (that's my brother's, my niece's and my grandmother's b-day - hehehe)!!! I think I'm even gonna be hosting a chat! Yep, shy me, hosting a chat! You'd better all come and help me out, because it might be kinda lonely there in that chat room by myself - ROFL!! I'll post more about that as I find out more details :)

Also, a lot of us Scraporchard designers will be doing Grab Bags, starting on Friday. It's my first Grab Bag, and I'm SO excited :) I spent all weekend designing, and there's some FABULOUS stuff in there. Just ask my CT. I showed them the preview of all the goodies you can get, and they just LOVED it :) Trust me, you'll like it too!

I finally hung up some decorations yesterday, and thought I'd start off by sharing. Before we came to El Paso, when Captain America was in our first rental house by himself, he bought some decorations for us. Wal-Mart had a frame and print section (sold separately), and Captain America bought us quite a few, with some great diversity in paintings. I never got around to hanging them at our last house, and decided that yesterday was the day :)

Notice the WordArt, framed, too??? hehehe

Rrrrrgh! Ever feel like that? hehehe. My computer is acting up. Sunday, my facebook account was hacked into, and my computer has been just a bit off since then. Like last night when I went to listend to music as I blogged, nothing. No sound. And it said that all of my music files were bad. Hmmmm, not so good. I hate hackers and virus people. Not so cool! Really, not so cool! Luckily, after restarting the computer, the music seems to be working again....

Anyway, I'm feeling much better. The headache appears to be gone. Sunday was LONG day, but it's over - hehehe. Sad, that that's all I can say about it :) Church was good, except for the lingering headache. But with the pills, it was easy to ignore it. As long as I didn't make any sudden crazy head movements, I was good. (Not that I typically make sudden crazy head movements, just to set that straight - LOL!)

I was asked to teach the 5 year old class again, but then the teacher ended up coming, so I was just crowd control. There were 8 or 9 - 5 year olds in the class. Yeah, that could be a bit overwhelming - hehehe. They're super sweet kids, though, and they remembered and liked me from last week, so that was a HUGE plus :)

After church, as we were driving home, my tried died. Right in the middle of the road, right before the stoplight. Stone dead. No power. Steering wheel locked up. I managed to slightly veer it to the curb, and got it in part. Nice. Now what. Luckily, about 4 other families noticed me, and stopped to help. One of them took my kids home, where Jacob watched them. The other family had the number for USAA (our insurance company), and I called them on the cell phone to get a tow truck.

Well, come to find out, we don't have towing on our insurance for the truck. The truck that's a 1990. BUT, we do have it on the Saturn Ion, that's a 2003. Yeah, explain that one to me. So, the lady on the phone said that she'd send out a tow truck, and it would be up to an hour. That I should wait with my vehicle. Yeah, no problem. I'll just wait, in my truck, at the stoplight, for an hour. It was ONLY 81 degrees outside. Not like that HOT or anything :) Anyway, $65 to get a tow. Yeah, I have $46 in my checking account. Um, how's this gonna work???

So, there was one family that stopped and stayed to help me (sorry, can't for the life of me remember their names), and he opened the hood of the truck to see if he could figure out what was wrong with it. He didn't seen anything blaringly wrong, and thought maybe it was a computer component. Yeah, I don't speak truck, so I don't have a clue. Anyway, he thought that he could either pull or push the truck back to my house with his vehicle. Yeah, I'm sure the guards at the gate would go for that - hehehe. But then, who knows. And it would save me paying the tow truck with the money that I don't have :)

He wanted me to get in the truck and put it in neutral, so he could see how heavy it was to push. And guess what??? It STARTED!!! Barely, but after gunning it, it seemed to be running. He said "Go fast, and I'll follow you to make sure you get home ok". And it worked! I was able to keep it running, even with stopping at a stoplight, and the gate to get in, and made it safe and sound to my driveway.

I'll be without a truck until at least Friday, when the paycheck comes in. Hopefully it'll start so I can drive it to the on post mechanic. Sigh. Don't you just love it when your only vehicle breaks down, and your hubby is out of town. Good thing I'm tough :)

Then, I find out that someone hacked into my facebook account and posted a virus as me. Yep, my friends all LOVED that. And now the computer is being buggy. My virus detection software is going off every 20 minutes. Sigh. Why can't at least one thing be easy.....

Jimmy and I had a good day at home on Monday. I finished reading another Twilight fan fiction (yeah, I'm talking about Twilight again, so if it bores you, just skip the next few paragraphs - hehehe), and he and I played for a bit. We cleaned up, did some dishes, and cooked a little bit. He really liked helping me wash and cut (ok, so I did the cutting) the potatoes. And I must say, while I keep getting sucked into the fan fiction, it's SO annoying to start a story, get so absorbed and involved with it, only to discover that it's not fully written. Come on, people. You can't leave me hanging like that.

This one from today was: Edward left Bella on their wedding day. She didn't know why. The Voltari recruited him to find the cure for Vampirism, and said if he didn't help, they'd kill Bella. He found the cure, took it himself, as did all of his family. He didn't go and find Bella, because he thought she'd moved on, but they ran into each other 8 years later, and recindled the relationship. Then, the cure wears off, and he turns back into a vampire, same as the rest of his family. The story ends as their on a plane, back to Italy, to talk to the Volturi, to find a cure to the cure.

And that's it. No more updates. Not for MONTHS and MONTHS. How am I supposed to go on, without closure. Hehehe. I'm DEFINITELY not cut out for fan fiction. Thanks GOODNESS that I read Twilight AFTER the complete series was written. I don't think I could have handled that kind of wait. sigh.

When my kids got home from school, the said that they'd all gotten into a fight with some other kids. Sigh. More fun. These other kids were jumping and trying to see how high up a sign they could touch. Well, when Jacob walked by, since he's so HUGE, he was able to reach up farther than them. Well, the other kids didn't like that, and started harassing my kids. Calling them names. Taunting them. You know how kids are.

WELL, my darling angels started throwing rocks at them. Not Jacob. But Tom, Joe, and Eme. Eme said only one rock connected, and Joe wasn't any better aim. Tom said that he wasn't aiming for the head, or the crotch, but at the legs and feet. Yeah, Tom, like that makes it any better. Sigh. Tom also took a little toy whistle that Eme got from class, and blew it at the angry kids.

Yeah, that all went over really well. The biggest kid attacked Jacob. He started hitting and slapping and grabbing at Jakes face. Jake, being a HUGE child, was able to keep the kid from hurting him too bad. Jake said it didn't hurt, but I noticed a few scratches on his face, and a bump on his head.

A kid attacked Tom (Tom's size, but older), and Tom said that he was able to get the kid on the ground, and unable to hurt him. Joe tried to jump in and help Tom (yeah, Joe, the skinny 5 year old), and got kicked in the stomach to the ground. Joe seemed perfectly fine when he got home, though.

After that, the fight broke up, and they all went home. The other kids continued to taunt and yell and be obnoxious to my kids the whole way home. So, what do you do? My kids were CLEARLY in the wrong about the throwing rocks. But the other kids shouldn't have started throwing punches, either. Hopefully, since they were all boys doing the fighting (besided Eme, with her one rock), they'll be over it tomorrow. Boys are funny that way. Girls, if something like this happened, they would NEVER get over it. Boys, not so much. It's almost like a male thing. Proving who's toughest, or something like that. Once the pecking order is assigned, or the alpha thing, then life can go on as normal.

Now, if there's another incident tomorrow, well, then I might have to get more involved. But I think I'll just wait and see how it plays out tomorrow. We talked with Captain America on the webcam tonight, and he told the kids that the rocks thing was TOTALLY unacceptable, and if they saw the kids on the way home from school today, to apologize for throwing the rocks. Sounds like a good plan. Hopefully that'll end it. We don't want to be fighting. Not such a good thing. Not the kind of example we want to be setting for our neighborhood.

So, is anyone else still with me here??? I know, I know, it was a long post. BUT, yesterdays post was SO short, that I guess this makes up for it. SO, if you're still reading this, GUESS WHAT??? Farmers Market will be open on Wednesday and Thursday!!! Woohoo!!! I think I'm gonna put ALL my WordArt packs in there again. That means each one of my WordArt packs will be only $1.00. I know, what a bargin, right????? Aren't you excited :) (But hey, I don't know if I'm supposed to be telling you all that it's opening, so don't go running around posting it everywhere - hehehe - I don't wanna get in trouble :)

SO, in honor of my FUN last 2 days, I made this WordArt. Yes, sweetheart, I MISS YOU! I know it's only a few more weeks, and I SO hope that they fly by. This single parent thing isn't remotely fun. Sure, I seem to get MUCH more done when you're gone, but at what price :)

Teacher / Child's Eyes

Wow, as I'm pre-publishing this on Sunday night, my head is KILLING me. I actually had a busy day to report on, and such, but I just don't think I have it in me. I went to bed with this headache on Saturday night (took a pill), woke up with it on Sunday (took a pill), and it was mostly at bay most of the day, but holy crap, it's back with a vengance now. I took another pill, and it should be kicking in in about an hour. SO, I'm just gonna put up this very fast freebee that I made for you all, and maybe come back later tomorrow and edit this post. Seriously, I'm fighting down the urge to go puke. It's not cool. Dumb headache :(

Direct My Sail

Wow, is it Sunday already. Man, these last few weeks have just FLOWN by. Yesterday was kind of all a blur - hehehe. I must say, I didn't leave my house yesterday. But I did shower and fix myself. That's a plus - hehehe. And remember the berry super juice? Well, I was so tired yesterday I took a 2 hour nap, right in the middle of the day. So, maybe the energy burst the day before was just that, a random energy burst. But I'll keep trying it - can't hurt, at any rate :)

The kids and I made pumpkin cookies in the evening - that was kinda fun. Except for the fact that they (read:we) ate them all. The recipe was suppsed to make 5 dozen, but I think we only got 4 out of it. But, they were fabulous!

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
(beat together)

(add)
1 egg
1 1/2 cups libby's pumpkin pie mix
(beat together)

(add)
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp um, that other spice for pumpkin pie
(beat together)

(add)
1 cup oats

Bake at 375 for 13 minutes - Oh yeah, baby! These are tasty :) And, they're a vegetable. Ok, so that's a stretch. But, it's pumpkin, right???

Jacob and I watched a movie on my laptop last night. I have 2 headphone holes in the laptop, so we sat on my bed in the dark (after the other kids had gone to sleep), and watched "A Haunting In Conniticut". Scary!!! Granted, it would be better if you could acutally see what you were watching, but beggers can't be chooser - LOL!

He was so funny - when the scary parts came at the beginning, I'd grab his hand/arm - whatever was close I'm a jumper at scary movies. He thought it was funny, so he'd predict when the scary parts would come, and offer me his hand. So sweet to his Mom. But, by the end, I think he was offering me his hand because HE was scared - hehehe. It was nice to sit and watch a movie with him. Bonding time :)

As I sit here on Saturday night pre-publishing this post, I'm getting a migraine. I can feel it coming on. Dang, and I've been off chocolate all week, so I know it's not chocolate withdrawls. Hmmmm, must be stress. Stupid stress! Why can't it just leave me alone (ROFL!!!)

This WordArt request is for Dorothy. She has her only daughter graduating in May, and wants to make up a journal for her daughter with this as the cover. Awe, how sweet! And yes, it's a GREAT quote. Dark Side

Thought I'd share a few pics today :) Here Jake and Tom at the Cub Scout Meeting this past Wednesday, when we made Volcanos. They were SO cool :)

And, Jimmy and I :)

OK, this picture has a story. So, our friends from Chicago, who moved to Tennessee, started selling this Juice stuff. Yeah, I know. Sounds like a real great story so far - hehehe. Anyway, they said that they'd send us some when we got to our new house, and it came yesterday. It's supposed to be this "super drink" kinda stuff. Give you lost of energy or something. Yeah, it came with a DVD, but I haven't watched it yet. The bottle said to drink 1 oz two times a day. So, I had some this morning.

Don't know if it had to do with the juice or not, but I got into a SUPER cleaning/reorganizing mode (well, more reorganizing - hehehe). I decided that the weird closet/non-room off of my living room would be acceptable for a computer room. So, I cleared it out of all the junk that was in there, got the computer stuff ready to move. Then, I realized that there was no outlets in the room, and no cable box (to hook the internet up). Well, I could run an extension cord out the door, and 1 foot to the outlet. That part was an easy fix.

Then, I could run our SUPER long cable from clear on the other side of the room, to the little non-room (now to be referred to as the computer room - LOL!). I dug out the ladder from the garage, and climbed up it, to run the cable along the ridge in the ceiling/wall. Since the cord was white, it was disguised very nicely.

So, i got the computer moved into it's new room, and everything hooked up, and the internet wouldn't work. Dang! Now what??? I tried several times at pluging things in, and unhooking, and resetting thing, but with no luck. The cable was bad. Yep, the one I just braved the ladder to get perfectly in place.

So, Jimmy and I loaded up in the truck and headed out to ... yup ... Wal-Mart. Did you know that they have everything you could ever need?? ROFL!!! So, I got some groceries while I was at it, and the cable. Then, back home to re-string the new cable, and voila! Internet access.

Then, I rearranged my living room. I put the TV and videos in the computer nook, and moved the furniture around. I thought it looked pretty good :)

About 30 minutes before the kids got home from school, the repair guy came to fix the ice maker in the door of our fridge. It was missing a piece. SO, now we have ice at our fingertips. I seriously think it's my kids' favorite part of the house. Really. I'm not exaggerating. They LOVE it. The just get cups of ice to chew. I guess at least it's not chips and cookies, right?

Captain America called last night, and we got to chat on the webcam for a little while. Even though he's not here, it was good to see his face. Boy, do I miss that man...... Even when he's driving me crazy (I KNOW you know what I mean - how do men do that? LOL!) Less than a month to go :)

This WordArt request is from Kelly. Her 3rd grader is going to an elementary school dance with the boy down the street, and her 5th grade son pulled the boy aside, and told him he'd "gone over to the dark side" because he was taking a girl to the dance - ROFL!!! Isn't that hysterical :) Typical boy - LOL!

April 24th Fresh Fruit Friday

Dang! I did it again - I keep forgetting to post my new stuff on Friday morning. One of these days......

Oh yeah, but first! (hehehe, one of these days I'll work on the scatterbraininess (is that even a word??)) Several of you have asked about the song in my video. When I first found it online, I thought it was from Twilight. Well, it was named Edwards song on the place I found it. I knew it wasn't Bella's song from Twilight, because I own the soundtrack album. They're clearly different. I thought maybe it was from the score. But it's not. It got me curious. SO, after searching the internet for about 45 minutes, I finally found some info about this GORGEOUS piece of piano music.

Yiruma
(born February 15, 1978, Seoul, Korea) is a South Korean piano music composer. Yiruma started to learn the piano at home in Korea at the age of 5. In 1988 he moved to England. He graduated from Purcell Specialist Music School (London) in July 1997, then from King's College London in June 2000.

His composition 'River Flows in You' (from the album "First Love" 2001) was considered for "Bella's Lullaby" in the movie Twilight (the book written by Stephenie Meyer), but, in the end, Carter Burwell composed another song, which became "Bella's Lullaby". SO, the real name of the piece is 'River Flows in You' and is not affiliated with Twilight. But it could have been. And, in my opinion, should have been. It's SO beautiful. Anyhow, now you know :) hehehe.

Anyway, here's my new stuff this week. Hope you like it! I have the 2 WordArt packs from my little video presentation thingy (I took out all references to Birthdays and made them gender neutral). I also have some Bride WordArt, some Spring WordArt, and some more Attitude WordArt. Click HERE to go to my store, and remember, all my new stuff is 20% off the first week (that makes it only $2.00 a pack!)

Happiness is Homemade

My plan for yesterday was to stay in my jammies all day long. You've just gotta do that every once in a while. Oh, so you caught me. It's more often than that - hehehehe. Anyway, I had spent the morning designing, only left my phone for about 10 minutes to go and give the neighbor lady some of our boxes (she's moving, and I don't need them), and when I came back, there was new voicemail on my phone.

Some of the ladies at church do "Game Day" every other Thursday at noon. It was an invite to go and play. What the heck! I decided to go. I need to get out there and socialize more. There were 8 moms (well, 7 younger moms and a mom of a mom) and WAY too many little kids to count. I think I was the only one with 1. Ha! That's a change for me :)

I did have fun, though. I'm pretty shy, so the games were a bit uncomfortable for me, but no one knew - hehehe. I've learned to play off shy and uncomfortable fairly well :) I'm definitely gonna go back next time. It's good to break out of your little shell, or your comfort zone. And, the girls all seemed really nice. AND, it was only 5 blocks from my house. Can't beat that :)

The kids and I watched some Doctor Who today after school. I just LOVE that show. I'm sad that David Tennent is leaving the show in 2010. I LOVED him as the Doctor. We'll see how this new guys does. We watched most of season 3. Blink is still my favorite from that season. So scary :)

After dinner and bedtime for the little kids, the big kids and I stayed up and watched Harpers Island again. It's become our Thursday routine. Hehehehe. They wanted me to walk them up the stairs and tuck them in. They SAID that it didn't scare them, but I think it did - LOL! At least no one had to come and sit next to me during it this time - ROFL!

I didn't really feel like searching for a request last night (yes, lazy much!), so the WordArt from today is just a fast and fun one that I found to give you all. :)

I Feel So Blessed

We had Cub Scouts last night. You know, I LOVE the Cub Scout program, but dang it's hard to run a Cub Scout den meeting with 3 extra little kids. Jimmy just wanted to run around the whole time, and Joe and Eme were fighting and playing slap tag the whole time. OMGosh! Captain America, are you almost done with trainings???? COME HOME :) I feel better now :) Sometimes you gotta just get that out - hehehe.

For Cub Scouts, we made dinasour finger puppets (scary ones - hehehe), played "Ice Age" relay race, did an achievement, and made volcanos. They kids REALLY liked that one. We took a paper plate, and taped a small dixie cup to it. Then, we covered the whole thing with aluminum foil. We cut a hole in the foil to expose the opening in the cup, and taped that part down. Then, we put in 2 tbsp of baking soda and 2 tbsp of water. We mixed it well, then poured in 2 tbsp of vinegar. The boys thought it was AWESOME when it bubbled and "erupted". Heck, I thought it was cool - hehehe.

When we were all finished, we all smelled like Easter Eggs, but we all had fun. But I was SURE ready to be home when we got back. I hate having to be the yelling mom. But I guess that's better than the mom with kids that get run over. THAT wouldn't be good at all!

So, after listening to the Twilight Soundtrack SO much over the past few weeks, I've really come to like Paramore. They sing tracks 2 and 8. So, I got a couple of their albums. OK, so they only have 2 (hehehe), but I got them both. LOVE em! I'm usually not big on girl singers, but this chick ROCKS! Anyway, thought I'd throw that out there for anyone who needs something new to listen to :) Here's a few of their music videos: Crush Misery Business Anyway, just thought I'd show you guys what I've been listening to lately :) I like it :) I'm sure Captain Americawill love it too, when he gets home (nah, he won't - ROFL!!!)

Here's the 3rd and final part of my "movie" WordArt that I'm giving away :) And look for the other 8 WordArts to come out on Friday in my store :) Click on the links below to go to my accounts to download the PNG file, and leaves some love if you like my work. Thanks!

Happy Things

Jimmy and I went to playgroup yesterday morning, and it was FABULOUS weather. I'm coming to see that almost EVERYDAY in El Paso is FABULOUS weather! Woohoo! 88 degrees and crystal clear blue sky. Gorgeous! I'm hoping I got some good color on my face. We'll see today.
This was right before we left. How can you tell? Jim is putting his shoes back on - he's like his momma and only wears shoes when its required :)

run, Jim, run!
oops, extreme closeup - hehehe
what a gorgeous view, eh?

So, since Captain America is gone, I figured that his birthday would pass mostly unnoticed. Then, I decided that it didn't have to be like that. So, Jimmy and I headed out to the store to buy a cake mix and some ice cream, and we're gonna have a b-day party for Captain America, even though he's not here. I printed out little pictures of him in his army gear, and we fake laminated them, and taped them to toothpicks. Then, I frosted the carrot cake cupcakes, and sprinkled green sprinkles on them. Add a little parsley to look like bushes (no bushes to spare in the desert), and Captain Americas picture, and we have a BEAUTIFUL cupcake - hhehehe.

I have my own personal army in my fridge - ROFL!!!

When the kids got home from school, they were SO excited about Dad's party. The little neighbor girl (can't for the life of me remember her name, though) came to play with Eme, and was asking about the cake and the party. She seemed to think we were all a bit crazy - hehehe. One of my kids wondered what Captain America would be doing on his birthday night, since he couldn't come to his own party. The neighbor girl said "Well, he'll probably go out with some buddies and drink beer".

My kids just looked at her like she had 2 heads. "My dad doesn't drink beer" they all said. I was SO proud of them - hehehe. Nope, no beer for Captain America. LOL! And I thought it was even funnier when Eme chimmed in as said "He only drinks Root Beer." LOL!

We even sent some cupcakes over to the neighbors house. What am I possible gonna do with 24 carrot cake with cream cheese frosting cupcakes in my fridge. It's not gonna be a pretty picture. So, I was glad when she took 6 home to her family. Only about 10 left to get rid of.

We also played Uno for his party. Jimmy and I found Kung Foo Panda Uno at Wal-Mart when we were there. It had fun moments, but Eme and Tom just DON'T like losing. Man, it's bad. Tears, and throwing cards down. Dude, it's just a game. Come one. Geesh. I made them finish it out, though. We played 3 games. Jacob won the 1st hand, Tom won the 2nd, and he also won the 3rd. I came in 2nd to last twice, and 2nd place once. I don't really care if I win, though. Not when I'm playing my hand, and 2 other peoples hand (in essence). It kinda takes away the competitiveness of it all - hehehe. One of these days......

AND, I got to talk to him on the phone for about 30 minutes too! We were only mildly interrupted by children. At one point, Joe came home. Yeah, I didn't really know he was gone. I thought he was in the front yard. He and another kid had gone across the street, and were playing in a sprinkler in a HUGE common grassy area. Nice. I need to keep better tabs on my kids, I guess. It's hard, though, when Captain America calls, cause I SO wanna talk with him. Sigh. Next time I'll make sure my phone is charged so I'm not stuck attached to the wall. How did we EVER survive before phones that moved around with us????

Here's the 2nd part of 3 from my little b-day video I made for my sweetheart yesterday. But, you'll have to go to the orchard to pick it up :) Click HERE to go to scraporchard's gallery to grab the zip file, and remember, you need to be signed into the gallery in order to get the download. Perfect Man for Me

Yesterday was a productive day. Jimmy and I went to the post office to pick up our mailbox key, and to the commissary to go grocery shopping. We were out of milk, and almost out of bread. Kinda need those two things in a house with 5 kids - hehehe.

We cleaned up the living room/dining room area, swept, and spot mopped. It really looked nice. Sure, it got messy fast, but it WAS nice for a few hours. And that's all that matters, right? Sometimes I think living in an empty house would be SO much easier. Less cleaning - hehehe.

I spent some time designing in the afternoon. I knew I wanted to do something special for my sweetie for his birthday. It felt good to sit down and be creative. Creativity is good :) LOL! I got to chat with my friend Maren for a little while, and with my mother-in-law too. All in all, it was a great afternoon.

Today is my best friends birthday. The man I love. The man I married 12 years ago. Unfortunately, he's away at Army trainings, and can't be with me today. So, I made his this little music video, to try and share with him how much I love him. I hope you like it, sweetheart! I truly love you!!! I hope your birthday is a great one :)

(oh yeah, and if you wanna send this little video to your man on his b-day, go for it - I'm sure he'd like it too :) I've packaged up 8 of the quotes from the "video", and they're gonna be for sale in my store soon.

But, I have 3 of them I'm giving away as freebies!!! Here's the first one. In the download, I'm including MAN and WOMAN. That way, it should be good for everyone :)

Old Age

Sunday was nice. The kids were relatively well behaved in Sacrament meeting (it's hard to keep 5 kids quite for an hour all by yourself), for which I was grateful. Jimmy wasn't even too bad. I guess it helped that we remembered paper and pencils. Last week, nothing. That wasn't fun :)

I filled in for a primary teacher who didn't show. I know how that is, looking for teachers last minute. I was glad to help. Those 5 year olds were adorable! We had fun learning about baptism, and promises, and what a "covenant" is. While they were so little, I think they understood :) It was a fun age group. All girls. 6 of them. hehehe.

After I finished reading Midnight (Twilight from Edwards perspective) last night, I decided to look online for a bit of fan fiction. They're kinda fun to read, if you can find a good one. Well, I found one that I really like. Granted, I haven't finished it yet. I may read some more after I'm done with this post. As of now, it's not too bad. I'm worried that there's gonna be inappropriateness, though. Why do people feel the need to ruin a perfectly good story. Sigh. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If it turns out nice, I'll post a link to it. So far, though, so good. It supposed that when Bella meets Laurent in the woods in book 2, that he bites her, and turns into a Vampire, then leaves Forks to hide out for 80 years, and then runs into Edward. Interesting premise.

And, for all of you NOT obsessed with Twilight (or all you all obessed like me - hehehe), sorry about all the Twilight babbling. I find myself thinking about it FAR too often. hehehe.

My sweetheart called me last night. It'd been a few days since I got to chat with him. Busy, busy, busy, that boy is. He seemd in good spirits. They had a busy day planned for today, and it was seriously nasty weather there in Georgia. He was hoping that it would stop before they had to go out and do....um... yeah, I must have missed that part. Something outside that he didn't want to get all nasty in. Dang, I need to pay closer attention, I guess :)

So I'm gonna try harder on my diet this week. Really, I am this time. Last night, I ate what I should for dinner, and I felt really good all evening. It's amazing what the "right" kind of food will do for ya! I'm tired of feeling tired all the time. And drained of energy. Hopefully eating right will help. Couldn't hurt :) hehehe.

This WordArt request is from Toby. Ain't it the truth! Not that I'm in "old age", by any means, but once I hit 30, my body hasn't been the same - LOL! So, Toby, I hope you like it!!! Delighteth In The Scriptures

I've seen this video on a couple of different blogs recently, and watched it a few more times yesterday, and I must say, I'm LOVING it :) Again, Twilight obsessed. But the songs was in my head all day long. Sigh. You're hot and you're cold.... (hehehehe). You know what's sad. Jimmy (the 3 year old) went to the fridge today today to get an apple, and dropped it in the kitchen on accident, trying to kick it with his foot to catch it. He looked up at me and said, "Look Mom, I'm just like Edward". OK, so we are a tad more than obsessed if the 3 year old knows the movie (and parody) that well :) - ROFL!!!

Apparently the girls who made this video have other parodies that they do. The kids and I watched a few of them on youtube yesterday. They're pretty funny as Jack Sparrow. We watched the Terminator one and the Star Wars one. I'll have to go back and watch them in order one of these day - pretty funny. Very clever young women :)

I got some more organization done around the house today. And I hung curtains in Jake/Tom's room, and Jim/Joe's room. Now maybe they'll sleep in a bit - hehehe. I stayed up late on Friday night hanging my own curtains so that I could sleep in on Saturday, but the kids woke me up at 6:30am anyway. Drat. One of these days, I"ll be able to sleep.

Jake/Tom's room is now clean and clear of boxes. It looks pretty good, considering the amount of stuff they have in there - hehehe. Good thing it's a good sized room :) Jacob went to "Saturday school" to practice for the Texas State Assessment test. He was pretty excited about going even. He asked if he could go back next week. They got pizza, which could be fueling the interest - LOL! But I must say, hanging out with middle schoolers has to be more fun than hanging out with younger brothers/sister. I'm just saying....

Tom went to a b-day party for the little neighbor boy yesterday too. He was gone from 4-8ish. He had SO much fun. I'm glad that the neighbor lady invited him. It really made his day :)

The kids spent a good portion of the day playing in the backyard with the neighbor kids. It was a great day. Not too windy, not too cold, and sunny. It was just about perfect weather. Jim, Joe, and I even walked around the neighborhood to "peek' at the garage sales. We didn't stop and browse, just looked as we walked. We stopped at the park to play for a few minutes, then headed back home.

All in all, it was a nice Saturday. Nothing too stressful or major happening. Just hung out at home, and got a few things done. This homebody LOVES Saturdays like that :)

So, my sister wanted me to "WordArt" this scripture for her the other day. She was going Visiting Teaching, and wanted to put it on a handout. She said it's the Visiting Teaching message scripture for the month of April. She was gonna print it out, and attach it to a Betty Crocker Warm Delights thingy. She's so clever!
